What a pitch on the campsite! We took a romantic steam train trip over Glenfinnan viaduct. A great memory to treasure. Thanks for another great share, Sue.
Thank you - I bet the steam train trip was absolutely amazing and it’s those memories which stay with you forever. Got an amazing pitch, how lucky eh. Hope you’re having a good week, all the best, David & Rachel ❤️
Glenfinnan is so lovely. We enjoyed the walk to the viaduct. Roxy sampling the spring water 🐶❤️. Oh no, sorry you didn’t see the train. Perfect excuse to visit again eh? North Ledaig looked really nice. Lovely views. Weather looked good too. Really fancy that dog walk. Not been to Oban. Quite big by the looks of it. Loved the harbour area. Good that you could park at Tesco too. Lovely sunset. Can’t wait to go to Arran. Beautiful views from the ferry port. Looking forward to seeing Arran. Pleased you liked the site. Looked gorgeous. 👍😊
We fell on our feet at the site near Oban with the pitch we got, would definitely go back to both Glenfinnan (when the train is running 😀) and Oban - nice area and lots more to explore. The weather wasn’t bad, certainly can’t complain. Roxy can’t seem to stay out of water 😀 Have a great weekend, all the best, David & Rachel 👍
Great vlog, the campsite looked excellent and a brilliant pitch by the sea. Some lovely walks with Roxy as well as the obligatory paddle 🤣. What a shame about the train strike. But great views of the viaduct. Open lookednicetoo with good parking and shops to stock up with. Hope the midges weren't too bad. Thanks 👍👍
Thanks Tim - Roxy doesn’t miss a trick does she 😀 I was surprised how many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants there were in Oban and some unusual ones you don’t normally find. Yes shame about the strike, it’s where we got bitten by the midges waiting for the train 🦟 All the best, David, Rachel & Roxy 👍
Great video. We went to North Ledaig for over twenty five years for two weeks each year. Booked as we were leaving for the following year so that we could reserve a front pitch. Needless to said we think its a brilliant site for all the reasons you've said. We still go each year but usually for 3 or 4 days as we now tend to go further north. I'm glad you noticed that the midges are never a problem unlike other sites, I think its because of the open aspect and sea breeze. We are looking forward to your video on Arran as it's on our to do list.
Thank you - really appreciate your comment, wow that’s amazing to go for 25 years, I can certainly see why you would go back. We plan to go back again and hope to get a nice pitch next time (to be fair I think a lot of the pitches on the seaward side would be fabulous even if not front row) we both loved the site. Hope you find the Arran one interesting as we really loved Arran. Thanks again, have a great rest of the week and weekend. All the best, David & Rachel 👍
Thank you, we landed on our feet with the pitch and the view, weather wasn’t too bad either! We didn’t know either until spotting the planes and then on the walk with Roxy. Have a great weekend, David & Rachel x ❤️
Thanks Glyn - really appreciated. Pleased you found it interesting - it was a lovely place and site to visit and we enjoyed staying there. All the best, David & Rachel 👍
Hi both, sorry just watched the vlog, we’ve been down in Widemouth Bay again with grandkids, shattered!! The mobile wifi is not great down there but we didn’t have time to relax!! Loved your video, what a pity you didn’t see the lovely loco and train, and you had a great viewing spot, we didn’t see it last year either but we did see it in Malaig station hissing and puffing steam and smoke!! The site near Oban is similar to the Club site at Bunree also worth a visit. Never been to Aran so will be interested to see your next vlog. Well done, cheers, Mike🥃🥃
Thank you Mike, hope you had a nice time in Widemouth Bay with the grandkids even though you’re shattered 👍 It was a shame we missed it but good excuse to go back at some point 🚂 Will have to try Bunree - thanks for the tip. All the best, David & Rachel 🍻
You can’t beat fish and chips by the sea can you. We didn’t know that and that does explain it. Hope you’re both good, have a fantastic weekend, David & Rachel ❤️
Thank you - Oban wasn’t too busy when we visited but it was out of the main holiday season and I imagine it gets busier. Definitely worth a look about if you are in the area. All the best, David & Rachel x
Thanks for the comment, on reflecting don’t think I made a wise choice of music on this video, thanks for the feedback, it’s appreciated, all the best, David
The music didnt match the vlog , happens so much these days. Do you have to have it? Maybe more commentory would be better or just quiet as your vlogs are very good, and its not the music we watch your vlogs for when all said and done.

Oban promotes itself as the seafood capital of Scotland - no wonder the fish and chips were so good!

The site nr Oban looked lovely 😎
Was Oban busy?
