Dale wants one frame links to return so that his opponents are more likely to drop combos when whooping his ass.
I used to play sf4 heavy the only way to consistently do 1 frame links is with an arcade stick with a technique called plinking.. so he wants to gatekeep himself out of optimal damage? He says any scrub can combo now or win now due to the new mechanics but he’s literally the player they are catering to

What is a 1-frame link?
@@bugginout8602 When hitting one move gives you enough advantage to combo into another move afterwards, that's called a link (different from a cancel, which cuts off the endlag of the first move to go directly into the next). Links are generally harder than cancels since you don't have the assistance of a cancel window.
A 1-frame link then is just what it sounds like, connecting two moves in succession with a window of 1 frame to pull it off. In SFIV there was no input buffer for normals, so you couldn't hit the button a few frames early and still have it come out. SFV and 6 both have an input buffer, so 1-frame links are rare outside of character specific special circumstances.

This is a common theme with him. He whines about stuff like this cause he feels like it's scrubby and low-level, but he isn't deserving of someone playing him tougher. Like he wants a high-level match but he isn't good enough for that, he always falls for low-level scrub stuff, but then he whines and complains that his opponents are bad, even though they're beating him. Like if you want people to respect you in the game more, then play at a higher level. Don't get mad when you fall for low-level tech.

The reason why he wants one frame links is so his opponents have a higher chance of dropping their combos thus giving him a chance to make a comeback.

I really don’t know how you can be mad at losing to Ryu. He’s probably the most honest character in the game and in Street Fighter in general. If you lose to a Ryu it’s your fault.
Also he’s playing Akuma and only knows like one combo route and just walks back soooo much like does he think Akuma is a zoner? Man has not done any labbing.

That’s his strategy with any character. He would go back full screen and wait for something to happen. Not sure what, though, he can’t even jump over fireballs half the time and loses solely to that.
He’s in the incredibly old ass mentality of Akuma in older games, when air fireball had less aggressive answers to it and Akuma had a good zoning subplan. Dude is mentally still in the past.
