Great video, I am a heart attack survivor and I firmly believe that my SAD diet caused it. I am currently a KETOVORE and feel better than I did 30 years ago, I also refuse to take a statin much to my cardiologists dismay but my HDL to Triglyceride ratio is a beautiful .6.
Great interview! Just another doctor who got himself healthy and now wants to help as many as he can take charge of their own health so he doesn’t have to operate on them later.
Like the Dr said that it was really frustrating my Dr was recommending med for my high LDL lipid from keto at the beginning. I hated to argue with her so I stopped seeing that Dr. I am on Ketovore for 7 years now and doing fantastic as a 49 female without taking any meds. RA went into remission since keto journey.
I’m happy to have found Dr Ovidea that not only practiced in the trenches but he himself and his diet are ground breaking and most data is based on common sense, ❤.
The expression, “metabolic health” is a subject that is deceptively nuanced and deserves this re-visit. This well metered discussion with Dr Ovadia elucidates the means by which one may understand and implement good health practices…..without tiresome voodoo nutrition claims.
This was great, I wish we could chose doctors here in Canada but alas we can't. I bought his book. Carnivore Cure was an excellent book btw, I learned so much.
My metabolic health is good except for my LDLs (158). I have been on many satins and have had problems with all of them (e.g., leg cramping). High dose niacin did nothing to lower my Ldls. I am 80 years old, I walk 2 - 4 miles a day and do not use tobacco nor drink alcohol. My wife and I eat foods that that approximates the Mediterranean diet. We cook with whole foods, we do eat hot dogs, fried chicken etc. once in a while. I take 50 mcg of levothyroxine daily. I do not know what else to do.
LDL doesn’t matter, and most people do not need a statin. What matters most is HDL and triglycerides and that ratio. Dr. Ovadia did an interview with Dr. Ken Berry, and answered all these questions.
Watch Dr Ken Berry and Dr Paul Mason, and David Feltmen, they need explained why higher LDLs are not bad but may lead to better longer healthier life as long as you HDLs are high and triglycerides are low. And recent studies show that longer living people have higher LDLs higher HDL and lower triglycerides.
Educate yourself watch Dr Ken Berry, LDL means nothing It is a marker the pharmaceutical companies can change with drugs. Your triglycerides to HDL ratio is much more important Statins poison
I have a small weist, low fasting blood glucose and high HDL, but high triglycerides and high blood pressure. So it seems that I’m metabolically unhealthy - just like 88% of the Americans. 😬

Despite my strong pro-meat bias, I really like how this guy is willing to consider all diets. I might just actually check out his book.
@@NutritionwithJudy I actually did buy the book. I'd recommend it 👌
Excellent podcast. Just hope people listen and try.
Very good interview. I like the focus on metabolic health. Thank you!

This was great, I wish we could chose doctors here in Canada but alas we can't. I bought his book. Carnivore Cure was an excellent book btw, I learned so much.
Check out Dr.Jason Fung. Toronto.
Thiamine also helps greatly with low energy issues.
Very very informative video 👍
I wish he would touch on why hashimoto's causes high triglycerides and ldl and how to fix it
If a clean keto diet doesn't change it!!
That was a good video
carnivore is saving my life. thanks for the information.

Hello Judy. Just wondering where in Texas are you located?
Why is that important?
What about intermittent fasting and carnivore diet & cancer?
Suggest you do more research
He didn't answer the question about why some people may need a bit of carbs to sleep better.
How do we get our HDL up? My LDL and Triglycerides are normal but I can’t seem to get my HDL any higher than 45.
Exercise and more research
Went on a keto diet. Had Hal.checked 3 months later. It was 72, up from about 40 at the earlier date.
Phil appears to have cloud horns sticking out of his head.
Thanks to carnivore I went from 44 inches to 35 inches on waist circumference

Your triglycerides to HDL ratio is much more important
Statins poison
Flushing those statins down the toilet is the best thing you can do for yourself right now
Metabolic syndrome is the same as insulin resistance
Correct
What the hell is that drumming tapping sound? It sounds like you have a leaking roof!
