Bloody hell Eddie, Compared to how you were in August/September, hardly able to move, you've made huge strides. One day at a time (sweet Jesus) as Lena sung. You've had a bit of 'Flu, I believe treatments can lower the immune system a little, so after a bit of 'Flu in the grim weather, you're bound to feel a bit of an onion. Stay positive.

Perfectly normal to feel like you do especially if you’ve not been feeling well… add to that the crappy weather on Saturday and it’s no surprise to find you doubting yourself. But Eddie, this should be a wake up call for you to make that Thailand trip as comfortable as possible… upgrade your flight ( sod the expense ) , book into the most comfortable hotel that can accommodate your condition, set up a mobility scooter for when you’re there…splash your money on YOU and make this trip something to remember.
My friend is in the same situation. He has had chemo and had his tumour removed. Every time he gets ill, he wonders if this is the end. You must be willing to fight and stay positive Ed. I know it is not easy, but you must fight to stay strong brother. ✊
If you’re not mobile / improving then to be honest don’t go to Thailand unless you have a very large cash pile for medical care. You may just have to suck it up and stay in the UK for now. I would say you may well be one of the 5% and can go a bit later!
It’s your new norm Eddy. It’s a case of accepting and managing it as best you can. There are lots of us having to accept that life is different from now on. No point in longing for what once was but won’t be again. I pretty much stay in bed most of the time as it’s comfy, warm and is my new space in the world. Just accept Eddy easier and less stressful than looking backwards. Live each day as it comes mate. Good luck.
Probably a long shot Eddie but I land in Bangkok on January 2nd, 6:30 am coming in from Canada. If you happen to have a similar date and arrival time I would be honoured to help you through the Swamp to your transport onto Pattaya. I am heading north but have all day in Bangkok.
He's not interested in going right now because he's not physically able, his mobility is not good enough, he feels like crap because he's had a month of radiotherapy and then come down poorly! Thailand isn't up the road, he's not insured and is worried about his health and what if it gets worse! You would feel pretty bad if he followed your advice and fell really ill in Thailand and ended up in a really bad situation all because of you?
How what he going to do in Thailand he can't even walk properly and telling him go to Thailand as if that's going to help him kinda sad these Thai simps
@@brendangoodbrand2597 exactly. Imagine just showing up in Thailand only to be admitted to either the hospital and be bound to a hotel room thousands of km away.

I’ve just lost a very close friend at 61yo to stage 4. He battled for 26 months. Good to see you keeping it real Ed and my heart goes out to you. Like I’ve said before keep your memories Ed, travel is over for you my friend.
There has to nice places he can go for a bit of a holiday in England as he has his mind fully focused on Thailand but listening to him talk it's clear enough that he is not physically able for a Thailand trip...
Does "I've stopped physically progressing" mean he thought everything was just going to get better on its own without putting any effort into physiotherapy? It can't possibly come as a surprise that one's mobility slows down when their daily routine is laying in bed watching Netflix (no, actually Amazon because it is better and cheaper), all day aside from a routine visit to the pub.

Eddy the flu sets everyone back- If you really want to go to Thailand and you feel like you can handle the flight (the worse part), then I'd go for it.
Eddy go now. I'm no Thailand expert. Last time I was there was 17 years ago for work. But given this video I say, why don't you just fly to Thailand in December, next week. Do your 30 days. Do a visa run from Pattaya, so you can spend 2 months there, instead of one. I understand the visa run could be a little tough (again I'm no expert), but you can hire a private driver to do it with, to alleviate the journey, I suppose. And when In Thailand you can get yourself a wheelchair, so you can move around without the worry of falling. And when you want to walk you can use the wheelchair as a "walker". Just a suggestion.
Don't talk wet! He's ill and frail and not up to going there right now! Amsterdam was a fail, he's feeling poorlier and weaker than he did when he was there! He needs to rest and get over the radiotherapy and his flu! He probably won't even get a visa, he's got no insurance and you think he should take the risk of going to Thailand whilst he doesn't know what's happening with his health! As for the wheelchair, he stands no chance of wheeling himself around in one. Get a grip on reality!
I’ve had stroke and airports on the way out were brilliant but the month here has been hard. When I was well I wanted to live here now it would be very hard taxis everywhere or put on people for lifts.Flying to uk later this week.
Thank you for such an honest post! So many on here are demanding that Ed board a plane now, that a business class ticket should be bought and luxury accommodation should be bought and private nurses should be paid for and a mobility scooter - that's a fantasy! It's not real life and not realistic! He's not Hugh Hefner with chauffeurs and women to look after him and millions in the bank! And he would end up back in a shocking situation if his health turned and put him back in hospital over there with no insurance to pay for it.
It was harder than I said I have a Thai wife so she was the nurse and she said it was very difficult to look after me.with hindsight would I do it again no and on my own definitely no.
Eddy STOP wasting your time being depressed! You literally don’t have time for that. Spend your time doing things you enjoy. If you can do something about your situation then do it. But If there’s nothing you can do don’t spend any more time worrying about it because it’s pointless. Go out and have fun and stop thinking about how much time you have on the clock because nobody knows the answer.
Eddie you have dealt with this amazingly showing us your struggles and everyday life you are bound to have good days and bad days this is the first time you have shown everyone your downer day but you will bounce back,i think you are an inspiration to anyone going through a bad time, im sure you will make it to patts all the best mate

Eddy there have been many incidents of tainted alcohol in Thailand its happened in the last 12 months in Bangkok. It's extremely unlikely that these people in Laos were given something with industrial methanol in it. It's much more likely that they had counterfeit spirits made by home distilling. If you make your own alcohol you always have to drain off the first part of the brew because it contains methanol. If some backyarder in Laos didn't know this or didn't care then these deaths are the result. Like I said it's happened in Thailand before many times and in Bali. Thats why they always used to tell people to never by those buckets of drinks in Thailand.
It's easy for us to see you are obviously on a bit of a downer and understandably so. I hope in the coming days and weeks we'll see the chirpy ED back. I really do hope you feel well enough to go to Thailand in January because you were so looking forward to it. Stay strong ED.

I certainly wouldn’t be making vlogs! But then, that’s been your life and it’s what makes you happy. I’m praying you will be in the 5%! Praying everyday for you!🙏
It's normal to have anxiety and some depression especially after your recent surgery and getting over the flu. The medical experts hit you with percentages of survival. That's in the 1% of the worst case scenario. I have stage 4 cancer. Melanoma on the brain ( 2 places) and in the lung. The brain cancer keeps coming back after 2 surgeries. Maxed out radiotherapy and 2 years of immunotherapy. All the cancers are now inactive cancers just sitting there. My sister-in-law has the exact same cancer glioblastoma that you have Eddy. Yes it's deadly just like melanoma and glioblastoma. Both my sister-in-law and myself were first diagnosed about 7 years ago and now still living life okay. You can still live for many years yet. Get out there and enjoy Thailand and live your life. What you must do is to eat healthy foods and importantly walk most days and see a physio for your mobility challenges. You have shown great courage through your recent past. Take it from me another cancer survivor you are far from done Eddy. Get to Thailand and enjoy your life just like previous times. Good luck !
Was it a rain or a snow storm in England Eddy? I am in Canada, we still have rain, soon to turn to snow. We all would love to get out to somewhere warm. I had a plane ticket booked to Mexico for next week and am not going to be on that plane unfortunately, due to many reasons. You have your ticket booked Eddy so there is still hope, hang onto that thought and chin up my friend.
Just hearing the news must have been incredibly hard on you Ed, that alone is bound to have knocked you for six. You must do what you feel is right. None of the people offering you advice to hop on a flight have been given your diagnosis and prognosis. Everyone and his grandma likes to imagine that they would quick as you can run through the bucketlist, but in your situation, few if any do. Once over the flu and the shock of more bad news has gone, you may hopefully feel much better but it is not for others to tell you how to feel or what to do. I have always stuck to the mantra - You need to walk a mile in the other mans shoes before you give advice. Best Wishes and Very Best of Luck Ed, take care.
Good comment! If these people felt as crap as weak as Ed does right now or felt how hard and exhausting Amsterdam was for him, they wouldn't be demanding that he gets on a 13 hour flight whilst unwell and uninsured! There's no Fantasyland for him gets there, just misery until his health and mobility improves.
Hey Eddie. I reckon ‘man flu’ alone is enough to make a man feel flat. It’s expected mate to have good days and bad days given the diagnosis. Regardless of the treatments, the prognosis, etc, I have every confidence that once you’re in Thailand, you will definitely pick up psychologically and feel better despite this. You are always in my thoughts my friend. Thanks for sharing. 🙏
Eddy the way you are feeling is to be expected. Some fear, feeling down it helps to vent. Trust your Drs you are not their first patient, having a scan is pointless at this stage. You also have flu to top it off. Feeling happy and positive all the time is not normal. You will feel better soon. ❤

He can't even lift a coffee cup properly. These people are delusional. @@bigwideworld387
What an absolute clown.
Visa run? Lol
@@TheKybalion-c6lhe can slurp and burp exceedingly well
Listen to all your messages Eddy..be positive it can work miracles..
Keep going Ed,there's going to be ups and downs. Recovery never goes in a straight line. You'll make it to Thailand.
Take care Eddy! Do what feels best!
It’s a brutal flu going around Eddie. This one knocked me down good, took a month to recover and I’m healthy. Keep fighting I think you will recover better than you think.
You actually look very healthy, Steady. Please keep the faith
he has improved measurably
Show us the swimming pool
All the best to you Eddie 1 day at a time m8.your feeling a bit down because of the flu hopefully you're pick up soon 👍 all the best m8
Damn thats so sad to hear , i just discovered ur channel now about the koh tao viedeo where u walked near the stones , i was thinking to myself , this guy is so funny and nice i like him , and now i move up the viedeos and see something about brain cancer .. so sad .
I had cancer too but in my bladder ,4 tumors , but cut it out since it was early stage. I wish u all the best and still many good times in ur life .
Good luck Eddie. You have a lot of guts and I want to wish you all the very best.🍀
Happened in the Gili Islands Indonesia about 3 years ago that i know of .
Your got a great attitude Eddy. The Flu knocks the best of us down even when healthy. ❤ Hope to see you in Thailand in January 🇹🇭
Insane year for you, Eddy...sorry about that, it can happen to anyone anytime...keep strong
Stay positive eddy, Do your best
I really hope your one of the lucky ones
It's easy for us to see you are obviously on a bit of a downer and understandably so. I hope in the coming days and weeks we'll see the chirpy ED back. I really do hope you feel well enough to go to Thailand in January because you were so looking forward to it. Stay strong ED.
One day at a time Eddie, keep fighting. 🙏
Being up being down is all part of the journey..nobody knows what tomorrow may bring.. try and remain positive Ed and stop focusing on the negatives….Think you’re having a bad day people should spend some time on a children’s cancer ward..count your blessings.
Thinking of you mate,,
The combination of radio therapy and the flu is probably making you feel much worse
Hopefully once you are over the flu ,you may pick back up again buddy 👍🙏🙏🙏
That bloody cold English winter won't be helping your mood. You need a bit of sunshine and a hairy muff to cheer you up.
Haha ..straight to the point!
Awful crappy weather and a dose of the flu is bound to make things appear even worse Eddy. Keep going, you will pick up again, head for that sunshine as soon as you can. We are all behind you and rooting for you.
Edd goThailand and just relax make a small video every couple of days you have given a lot of people great content and good advice over the years
Eddy chin up, mate. Your an inspiration to us all!!
I agree with all the comments of encouragement. You must keep fighting my friend! You have demonstrated more courage than I think I would ever have in your condition. I certainly wouldn’t be making vlogs! But then, that’s been your life and it’s what makes you happy. I’m praying you will be in the 5%! Praying everyday for you!🙏
Get out there Eddie and feel the sun on your back. Get out of the cold!
Our hearts are all with you ed
Hi Eddie, if they are offering you more surgery and treatment, then they have hope based on their experience. Keep fighting!
Good luck !
Top man steady Eddie , just take each day at a time my friend ❤
Was it a rain or a snow storm in England Eddy? I am in Canada, we still have rain, soon to turn to snow. We all would love to get out to somewhere warm. I had a plane ticket booked to Mexico for next week and am not going to be on that plane unfortunately, due to many reasons. You have your ticket booked Eddy so there is still hope, hang onto that thought and chin up my friend.
YOU HAVE PERHAPS FELT FRAIL EDDIE BECUASE YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM WILL BE LOW ESPECIALLY WITH HAVING A COLD AS WELL.....KEEP STRONG AND KEEP GOING
CAPS LOCK ----> Off
@@Deadfoot-Dan CAP OFF I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MY EYES!!!!
Eddy stay strong mate you have a goal for Jan hopefully ur on that flight.
Stay strong mate I had stage 4 cancer it knock me around after radiation and chemo you feel good then you feel shit love mate ❤
Hats off to you mate - you have shown the way. We are all dead in the end.
Said all along put Thailand out of your head
Keep your chin up Eddie, just focus on getting out and walking as much as possible. I can't wait to see the Thailand videos buddy
Depression is part of a cancer diagnosis Eddy. You'll have good & bad days! Just keep living your best life.
Bad weather doesn't make you feel great , you need some Thai sunshine on your back, chin up Eddie 😊
Cannot go in direct sunlight when you got cancer. You need to protect yourself from direct sunlight. Especially when a lot of drugs react to direct sunlight. It would be better to say the warm climate makes you feel better
