As kids we use to laugh at the commercials. As a 65 year old woman, I’ve complete appreciation for these systems. As we age losing independence is scary. With systems such as this, it gives an added sense of security. Thanks for sharing and I’m so thankful your grandmother is up and at’em again.
My auntie lived by herself and she would fall all the time the last time she fell she Laid on the concrete floor in her garage for 2 days. She was very independent. Your a very blessed granny to have so many people watching over you. I'm praying you get well soon. Your a blessing you Your family be safe.....
I broke my hip and my phone was on the couch. My 2 yr old grandson was in the highchair. It took everything I had to pull myself across the floor and on to the couch to reach my phone. It was horrible. I understand that pain. I wanted to die as well. I was only 51 when I fell. God bless you Grandma. I agree being at home is so much better. Fantastic products. Praying for you all!!!

My dad took his alarm watch off and then got up and fell at his bedroom door. He was there for about 3 hours. My sister and her husband had a hard time getting the door open enough to get in. He fell on Saturday, had hip surgery on Monday and passed away the next Saturday. He passed on their 62 wedding anniversary. Special and sad at the same time.
I have watched this several times, but this time I cried so much. I remember when my momma was alive. We lived together, and I had reservations about going to work. I did leave, but something was nagging me to go back home. When I did. My mother had fallen, and was laying on the floor bleeding. She was crying because she thought she would be laying there all day. It broke my heart. I wish we would of had this for her. She was, and still is so precious to me. Even though she's with Jesus. I love and miss her everyday. It's been since 1996. ♥️🙏🏻

For the last four years I took care of my 87 year old mama and lost her in January. I feel like I never slept because I felt like ever noise was my mom falling. Breaks my heart. What beautiful strong women you have there 😉. Your love cup is probably overflowing ❤️
Dear Gran you’re amazing! My mum was stubborn and fell a few times. She was as strong willed as you are and I learned that that is a good thing. She was independent and proud of her independence. S L O W down. Gio have Gran watch the video of her shopping. She was bopping around the racks of clothes, weaving in and out pivoting right and left like was being chased by security. At any age, we need to ease into our day and our activities. We love you Gran. Wear your safety devise. It’ll help you in the future. I hope you won’t need to use it! But it’ll be there for your security and peace of mind for all of us who love you. 💕🙏
Years and years ago, I was the point person for a hospital program that provided safety alarm systems for vulnerable elderly and infirm clients. It was such a wonderful program and there are many services like that today, with even more advanced technology, and I think it’s fantastic you’ve gotten that all set up for your lovely grandmama. ❤️
I love how patient you are speaking to your grandmother. How you treat her with elegance. I’m fascinated with talking to older folks. I feel their stories need to be heard. They feel forgotten about as they reach old age. What you do for your grandmother and mother is so sweet. I adore you all. You have such respect for them both !❤️ When my grandma was alive I’d love to sit with her and ask her about her life as a younger woman. My grandmother had a club foot. She loved music, always wanted to dance. We inherited her singing voice. She was treated poorly for her disability. I loved to make my grandma feel so beautiful and special. She was taken back that I would treat her so special. My cousins and I would love to make her feel special. She was abused .. She deserved so much better. Thank you for sharing their story ! How amazing was this! Sassy Gran in her late 90's and made it home from the hospital with a broken hip! You are right Gio!!! Not everyone makes it home after something like this. My father died at age 69 due to a broken hip. So many things happened to him and he got bed sores in the hospital. This video put me in so many tears just remembering all what my father went through & seeing Gran in that much pain sitting there. Such a brave and strong woman she was!!!

Have you ever talked about how you came to be able to take such wonderful care of your Mom and Grandma? You eluded to it when you spoke with your Uncle in Oklahoma, but, made we wonder. I am a caregiver for an 89 year old, and at times it is very difficult. God knew what he was doing with you!
I’m sure you’ll get a lot of suggestions, but I have to add this! When my dad broke his hip and was sent home and in so much pain, I bought a CBD pain patch for him and he put that on and it helped him. SO MUCH. It truly seemed miraculous. ❤️ praying gran feels better soon.

My great grandma broke her hip died in the hospital of pneumonia . 20 years after that, my grandma died of pneumonia after a fall that broke her ribs and hip. She also had advanced alzheimer's which I am sure didn't help with recovery from her injuries. I'm glad grandma Doris got out of the hospital alive.
I've worked in Surgery for years and a wonderful spunky Grandma!!! What about a tub with jets! Sassy u don't have to be old for something to happen. I live alone and my back went out and I couldn't get out of my tub for 2 days!!! I'm young!! Bless you!!
She was so beautiful inside and out. This is a great kit. This type of watch could also be helpful for hikers, kids on the go, but also any of us getting up there in age , or folks living solo.
These types of systems are life savers. I had that in place for my parents and sadly they had to use it several times, but gladly they were ok because of it. I am now disabled and I wish I could afford to have it because it is very scary being alone if you need help. Glad she is better now!!
Lisa, please call your local hospitals and see if they have those programs. When I worked through my local hospital years ago, many of our clients were provided the service free of charge through the hospital foundation. Don’t give up! There are programs that can help you!
@@monstermcboo7282 Thank you - I am in Canada and I have asked but sadly we have to pay up front and that is not possible for me. My son is also on a kidney transplant list and we still don't qualify for anything free because of the requirement to pay up front.
Grandma and the Queen of UK are roughly the same age but even with the best of care at her disposal, she experiences difficulty moving. Aging isn't an easy experience. Slowing down is very difficult for the active high energy types. I pray Grandma won't have to go through such a horrible experience again.
They are such a supportive family. Gran has lived an amazing life, so has her daughter who is also a fine example as well in her 70's herself. Giovanni is an incredible son/grandson, his patience & love for these beautiful ladies. Even in pain, Gran is so full of positivity and they are all so full of humor...thank you for sharing your lives💞
I'm so glad you have recovered, Sassy Gran! A broken hip is a serious thing. My grandmother fell and broke her hip and laid on the floor, alone in her house, for a few hours until my mother found her. This alarm service would have saved her from a lot of pain and fear.

Your Gran is like the energizer bunny.......she just keeps going. My mother tripped and fell and no one knew until the next day. She never recovered from her fall. If she had one of those devices she might still be alive. She used to always joke about the older people using walkers as sissies. My father tripped over a glass bathroom scale at night, which broke his arm and led to a blood clot that went to his lung, so I always use a small flashlight at night. Love watching your beautiful mother and grandmother. I marvel at how really beautiful they are. Your mother's eyes always sparkle and your grandmother is always so matter of fact. Cuteness!

AWWWWW I’m sorry that happened to you at least now with a alarm you won’t be scared if anything happens again 👍🏻 I worked in a nursing home I was a Nursing Assistant for over 25 year’s and most people who break / fracture a hip are bed ridden they say when someone older break’s or fracture’s a hip it doesn’t heal the right way and basically they say that’s it for that person and unfortunately it was true for a lot of people I took care of. But YOU LOOK WONDERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL AND YOUR ATTITUDE IS GREAT 👍🏻😊❤️ I’m sure you are happy that you can get better at home with the people you love and who love you please be careful we all love watching your video’s and would definitely miss your sunny disposition and awesome sense of humor ‼️😊 please take care get better and WE LOVE YOU ❤️❤️❤️

So sad for your grandma she is such an extraordinary person and had suffered so much in her life. Again she has to suffer with such pain but she is still always courageous. Her love for her family makes her happy and gives her the courage to fight even if it is really hard for her age. How to tell all my admiration I don t know. For the moment It is time to rest, take care, slowly slowly to be cured and able to to things by herself as she likes. Many kisses from France.
I loved watching all of you and will miss sassy gran but look forward to seeing you and your mother in future videos. Your grandma when said she will walk again sounded like my mom. My mom fell off a 2nd story porch into the street, she broke her neck and back and spent 9 months in the hospital. This was in 1971 and I was 4 and saw it happen and I was traumatized. The doctors told her she would never walk again to which she replied yes I will. She was a determined woman and she prayed and struggled. She asked God to allow her to be on this earth long enough to raise her children and make sure they were ok. She came out of the hospital and in time and with work, she walked though most of the time was with great pain which she hid well. God answered her prayer and , being the youngest at 32 years old when she was called home, she was 62 when she passed. She was a stubborn country woman and your grandma reminded me a lot of my mom. Thank you for sharing her with us.

Oh, grandma! I'm so sorry to hear this but thrilled you are on the mend. I'm only 66. I fell getting ON my bicycle, not even a bicycle crash, and can't tell you how beat up I was. Yes, we need to be careful at any age. Way back, right before 9th grade I fell off of a trapeze and broke both wrists! Anyway, best regards and continued healing, your friend from Indiana.

im just like you guys/ I even fell back wards off a hay bale, I have to be careful not to get knocked out and freeze to death here in the winter! I trip over stuff all over my house and my sweater gets hung up on some metal part of my car when I get in and out of the drivers seat , im a hand stitching artist /I invented my own and really beautiful (museum quality )art technique and often knock my basket of straight pins all over the floor, I live alone in alaska am 60, my sister across the fence has scape /goated me for 6 years now and heads the ostracism of all my family excepting my son who lives in Texas, your so lucky to have each other, I love you all so much and send sympathy love and healing good will to sassy gran, im proud of you all keeping your hearts warm and your smile true and bright!
We did the same for my 100 year old mother in law. It’s a great device. It still gives her some independence and is some comfort to know that if she falls we will know! Grandma Doris is great! And you are so good to her!

I know from experience the pain she was feeling. I was your mom's age when I broke my femur 3 years ago. It was the most painful experience ever. She is one strong lady to insist on coming home! Bless her! I am so very happy she is healing and aback to her sassy self!
Such a timely reminder. It is difficult to face the fact that we need outside help when we reach a certain point in life. All too often that realization can come too late. Just last week I lost a friend of mine (64) who fell at home & was trying to use Alexa to call a friend for help. She refused to call 911 to ask for assistance & sadly, she passed. Have you ever talked about how you came to be able to take such wonderful care of your Mom and Grandma? You eluded to it when you spoke with your Uncle in Oklahoma, but, made we wonder. I am a caregiver for an 89 year old, and at times it is very difficult. God knew what he was doing with you!

I’m sure you’ll get a lot of suggestions, but I have to add this! When my dad broke his hip and was sent home and in so much pain, I bought a CBD pain patch for him and he put that on and it helped him. SO MUCH. It truly seemed miraculous. ❤️ praying gran feels better soon.

Just read the comment they wrote after I had posted mine. I still mean everything I said regardless if it was a few months ago. I love this channel especially for the story times of what Gran has been through. I finally got divorced myself and ended up homeless in the blink of an eye with my daughter. Never saw that coming. But your family gives me hope. I'm in a bad place financially right now like nothing I've ever imagined but I will somehow get through this. Fingers 🤞. Thank you for making not just me but so many of us smile.
My great grandma broke her hip died in the hospital of pneumonia .
20 years after that, my grandma died of pneumonia after a fall that broke her ribs and hip. She also had advanced alzheimer's which I am sure didn't help with recovery from her injuries.
I'm glad grandma Doris got out of the hospital alive.

I've worked in Surgery for years and a wonderful spunky Grandma!!! What about a tub with jets! Sassy u don't have to be old for something to happen. I live alone and my back went out and I couldn't get out of my tub for 2 days!!! I'm young!! Bless you!!

These types of systems are life savers. I had that in place for my parents and sadly they had to use it several times, but gladly they were ok because of it. I am now disabled and I wish I could afford to have it because it is very scary being alone if you need help. Glad she is better now!!
Lisa, please call your local hospitals and see if they have those programs. When I worked through my local hospital years ago, many of our clients were provided the service free of charge through the hospital foundation. Don’t give up! There are programs that can help you!
@@monstermcboo7282 Thank you - I am in Canada and I have asked but sadly we have to pay up front and that is not possible for me. My son is also on a kidney transplant list and we still don't qualify for anything free because of the requirement to pay up front.

Grandma and the Queen of UK are roughly the same age but even with the best of care at her disposal, she experiences difficulty moving. Aging isn't an easy experience. Slowing down is very difficult for the active high energy types. I pray Grandma won't have to go through such a horrible experience again.

They are such a supportive family. Gran has lived an amazing life, so has her daughter who is also a fine example as well in her 70's herself. Giovanni is an incredible son/grandson, his patience & love for these beautiful ladies. Even in pain, Gran is so full of positivity and they are all so full of humor...thank you for sharing your lives💞
My mom fell and was alone for hours.. she passed from the injury sadly. I am glad Gran is ok and hope she keeps the device with her 🙏🏼

I'm so glad you have recovered, Sassy Gran! A broken hip is a serious thing. My grandmother fell and broke her hip and laid on the floor, alone in her house, for a few hours until my mother found her. This alarm service would have saved her from a lot of pain and fear.

Oh no…Gran fell 😞 So sorry to hear she broke her hip and was laying there in pain. Gran and your mom both look amazing though. Glad that was not recent and that she is geared up and monitored.
Your Gran is like the energizer bunny.......she just keeps going. My mother tripped and fell and no one knew until the next day. She never recovered from her fall. If she had one of those devices she might still be alive. She used to always joke about the older people using walkers as sissies. My father tripped over a glass bathroom scale at night, which broke his arm and led to a blood clot that went to his lung, so I always use a small flashlight at night. Love watching your beautiful mother and grandmother. I marvel at how really beautiful they are. Your mother's eyes always sparkle and your grandmother is always so matter of fact. Cuteness!

AWWWWW I’m sorry that happened to you at least now with a alarm you won’t be scared if anything happens again 👍🏻 I worked in a nursing home I was a Nursing Assistant for over 25 year’s and most people who break / fracture a hip are bed ridden they say when someone older break’s or fracture’s a hip it doesn’t heal the right way and basically they say that’s it for that person and unfortunately it was true for a lot of people I took care of. But YOU LOOK WONDERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL AND YOUR ATTITUDE IS GREAT 👍🏻😊❤️ I’m sure you are happy that you can get better at home with the people you love and who love you please be careful we all love watching your video’s and would definitely miss your sunny disposition and awesome sense of humor ‼️😊 please take care get better and WE LOVE YOU ❤️❤️❤️

Then I saw the top comment where it is stated that this happened a few months back and she is fully recovered. I am SO happy to see this. So sad for your grandma she is such an extraordinary person and had suffered so much in her life. Again she has to suffer with such pain but she is still always courageous. Her love for her family makes her happy and gives her the courage to fight even if it is really hard for her age. How to tell all my admiration I don t know. For the moment It is time to rest, take care, slowly slowly to be cured and able to to things by herself as she likes. Many kisses from France.
I loved watching all of you and will miss sassy gran but look forward to seeing you and your mother in future videos. Your grandma when said she will walk again sounded like my mom. My mom fell off a 2nd story porch into the street, she broke her neck and back and spent 9 months in the hospital. This was in 1971 and I was 4 and saw it happen and I was traumatized. The doctors told her she would never walk again to which she replied yes I will. She was a determined woman and she prayed and struggled. She asked God to allow her to be on this earth long enough to raise her children and make sure they were ok. She came out of the hospital and in time and with work, she walked though most of the time was with great pain which she hid well. God answered her prayer and , being the youngest at 32 years old when she was called home, she was 62 when she passed. She was a stubborn country woman and your grandma reminded me a lot of my mom. Thank you for sharing her with us.

Oh, grandma! I'm so sorry to hear this but thrilled you are on the mend. I'm only 66. I fell getting ON my bicycle, not even a bicycle crash, and can't tell you how beat up I was. Yes, we need to be careful at any age. Way back, right before 9th grade I fell off of a trapeze and broke both wrists! Anyway, best regards and continued healing, your friend from Indiana.

im just like you guys/ I even fell back wards off a hay bale, I have to be careful not to get knocked out and freeze to death here in the winter! I trip over stuff all over my house and my sweater gets hung up on some metal part of my car when I get in and out of the drivers seat , im a hand stitching artist /I invented my own and really beautiful (museum quality )art technique and often knock my basket of straight pins all over the floor, I live alone in alaska am 60, my sister across the fence has scape /goated me for 6 years now and heads the ostracism of all my family excepting my son who lives in Texas, your so lucky to have each other, I love you all so much and send sympathy love and healing good will to sassy gran, im proud of you all keeping your hearts warm and your smile true and bright!
We did the same for my 100 year old mother in law. It’s a great device. It still gives her some independence and is some comfort to know that if she falls we will know! Grandma Doris is great! And you are so good to her!

I know from experience the pain she was feeling. I was your mom's age when I broke my femur 3 years ago. It was the most painful experience ever. She is one strong lady to insist on coming home! Bless her! I am so very happy she is healing and aback to her sassy self!
Such a timely reminder. It is difficult to face the fact that we need outside help when we reach a certain point in life. All too often that realization can come too late. Just last week I lost a friend of mine (64) who fell at home & was trying to use Alexa to call a friend for help. She refused to call 911 to ask for assistance & sadly, she passed. I have no doubt you will walk again because you are so strong. I had bought a similar system for my mom. It was hard to convince her to keep the necklace on. She would leave it on her kitchen table then go do dishes at the sink😩. At least the one you have is more decorative. Get well Soon Doris.
