@@nicolesaylor4027 So true! I worked for a big organization religion based. A lot of the people hired all has the same last name ( nepotism) lots of gossip and back stabbing went on. It made me question my faith many times. I spent my life with this place even as a kid. I could see favoirtosm even as a young age.

Then I accepted a position with them after I graduated and it was back to the same old bs. 27 years later and I am out of it. I will stay with my religion but also go to join in with others. I consider myself a spiritual person and what we do on earth and how we treat others is the most important thing we can do.

A little story: When I was a little girl my mother didnt have much money and worked very hard to raise us. One day the minister of our church at the time drove up to our house in a black Cadillac, asking for money as she hadn't been to church for a while. I noticed she was nervous and hesitant but in the end she gave him some bills. When the minister left she started crying. I didn't know why at the time as she never said a word but I found out later she had given him our grocery money for the week. I never forgot how much pain that man had caused my mom and realized even then that what he did was not God's way!!
I’m sorry your family went through that and your mother was very nice to give it to him. But he should’ve been given your mother money to help her and her family with groceries if he saw her struggling a real true minister would’ve done that. you have a good week.🤗
It’s too bad she didn’t say, “All I have is my grocery money for my children”, and if he said that was all he needed, she should have said, “Sorry, but God wouldn’t want my children to starve.” That makes me do mad she felt intimated to give him her last dime! She would also talk about the collection plate being passed at church. So many people in those days had no money and it was intimidating if they only had a coin to give. She said they would "squirm".

Love in the heart is what matters. I’m not religious, but my 21 year old is. In the Mother’s Day card she sent me said, “I’m so thankful for you and that you engrained in me is what is most important is what in ones heart.” I bawled! I’m not a perfect momma, but I feel like I did something right by her!
I’m a Christian and I believe in God but not always. I will say that I have been treated worse by people in the church than anyone else though. I strive everyday to be the kind of person God created me to be and to love everyone.
ME TOOOOOOO!!!! I’ve never felt more judged or segregated than I have at church’s. It’s sad but true. Sooooooooooo many fake people in there and seems like they all in competition to be the most popular at church. Specially these huge church’s The ones With the coffee shops and sandwiche shops built inside of them and a full blown rock band jamming out the entire time preacher might preach for 15 mins then the rest of the time its a concert.
Church is a nosey they want to know everything about you they want to get into your personal life I had a gentleman friend that was strictly platonic and they tried to make something out of there wasn't or I tell them to go to f****** hell that's what I did that was the end for me

Yes I stopped going to church I go to nature and take baths and that’s where I feel the closest to god! Some of the most judge mental people go to church. Actually most of them!
The devil and his crazy crowd is always trying to deceive us just like he did Jesus! Stand firm and believe God’s Word and believe Him always! He will never leave us but we have left Him. God loves us all. Prayers get answered when it’s time. When I lost my first born daughter at the age of 24; an older women told me there’s a reason why she had past. I was angry as I didn’t believe that. So now I’m 60 yrs old and I understand what she ment. My daughters death brought me a lot of lessons in my life, and a lot of gifts. And still brings me gifts about life. You are never alone as the lord is with us all always.
What a wonderful comment for you to leave. I’ve worried so much about losing my beautiful daughter because I love her so much. She is the longest relationship I’ve ever had, 33yrs. My mom recently died and without my daughter I think I would have died from the heartbreak. Now when I pray I recognize that my daughter is God’s daughter first and that she’s kind of on loan to me for which I am very grateful. Little by little my faith is growing in that if I should die first God will provide for her because He loved her first. I’m doing all I can to assure her that her faith and many happy memories we’ve shared will help her in her times of need. I can feel how much you absolutely love your daughter and it deeply moves me. Maybe someday we’ll all meet in Heaven and have the happiest reunion ever! You’ve lived through my greatest fear and you have survived. I can’t begin to imagine your story perhaps you can share it someday maybe a book or something I’d really like to hear how to survive such a loss and still find purpose for living. Gran's outlook to life is so commendable. I'm kinda the same. The more you develop as an individual, the easier you see the lapses in organized religion but the presence of an omnipotent creator (God) is undeniable. God is love and the only true way to serve him is to love all people irrespective of their beliefs.

Like you both, I have always had a personal relationship with God and I believe in the power and comfort of prayer. God has been with me and many of us over time. Church is something that i attended as a child and adolescent but as I grew older Church was not something i was interested in. You can have a relationship with God without the organized religion approach. Organized religion has caused a lot of unnecessary divide over the centuries.

We should be helping the homeless in our neighborhoods. Being smart about it of course, not just forking over cash, due to drinking and drug problems. But churches should help the homeless if they come asking for help.

I have learned that the worst times in my life was actually God bringing me to Him. It took 33 years for me to find Him but He never gave up on me.

God loves us all. Prayers get answered when it’s time. When I lost my first born daughter at the age of 24; an older women told me there’s a reason why she had past. I was angry as I didn’t believe that. So now I’m 60 yrs old and I understand what she ment. My daughters death brought me a lot of lessons in my life, and a lot of gifts. And still brings me gifts about life. You are never alone as the lord is with us all always.
What a wonderful comment for you to leave. I’ve worried so much about losing my beautiful daughter because I love her so much. She is the longest relationship I’ve ever had, 33yrs. My mom recently died and without my daughter I think I would have died from the heartbreak. Now when I pray I recognize that my daughter is God’s daughter first and that she’s kind of on loan to me for which I am very grateful. Little by little my faith is growing in that if I should die first God will provide for her because He loved her first. I’m doing all I can to assure her that her faith and many happy memories we’ve shared will help her in her times of need. I can feel how much you absolutely love your daughter and it deeply moves me. Maybe someday we’ll all meet in Heaven and have the happiest reunion ever! You’ve lived through my greatest fear and you have survived. I can’t begin to imagine your story perhaps you can share it someday maybe a book or something I’d really like to hear how to survive such a loss and still find purpose for living. Blessings to you and to those you have touched. ❤
Gran's outlook to life is so commendable. I'm kinda the same. The more you develop as an individual, the easier you see the lapses in organized religion but the presence of an omnipotent creator (God) is undeniable. God is love and the only true way to serve him is to love all people irrespective of their beliefs.

Like you both, I have always had a personal relationship with God and I believe in the power and comfort of prayer. God has been with me and many of us over time. Church is something that i attended as a child and adolescent but as I grew older Church was not something i was interested in. You can have a relationship with God without the organized religion approach. Organized religion has caused a lot of unnecessary divide over the centuries.

We should be helping the homeless in our neighborhoods. Being smart about it of course, not just forking over cash, due to drinking and drug problems. But churches should help the homeless if they come asking for help.

I'm Muslim and i totally understand what she is saying. Faith has nothing to do with religion 🙏, however I love practicing Islam, it guides me on how to love God and teaches me many things. You don't have to go to church to pray you can do it at home because God hears you all the time.

Of course, I think everybody who listens to you guys are loving souls, but you said it, religion has been used over and over again to hurt people and it is as heartbreaking as it can be.
