Thank you for recommendation. I just purchased kaboo mantis pro se and I went ahead and ordered filled tires and plan on preparing for flats. Seems like a problem. Thank you for putting up the link. I was looking for solution. I own a circooter e scooter with solid tires and I love not worrying about flats. Now I can have the same luxury with this upgrade. You earned a subscriber! Great job! Peace be!
Love your reviews! Wish you did a review on the “rebuilt” mantis pro from Fluidfreeride. My Fluidfreeride mantis pro has over 500 miles and not issues. I am able to get 42 mph, an amazing acceleration, and 45 miles range (a combination of eco, single, dual mode-gear 3) on a single charge.
That sounds amazing ! I had the original as well but I knew I had to return it. Maybe it was due to my weight I was told, possibly adding last years summer heat, the rotor was creating almost an S Shape and beyond repair. Part of me wouldve liked to stick with it, very different from my surron X experience! Unfortunately didnt feel confident in my ability at the time to fix it or not a lot of support like RK9 now is for alot of people! :)
I think its time to hit up Voromotors and say "whats up with that SE model, have you seen my yt channel" 🤣 Im also sort of surprised I havent seen Apollo reach out and send you stuff to review
Still no info for the wobble in the rear motor?? I got the same problem, but on my front one and i'm afraid to ride it in this condition.. Pelase, share some info on how u fixed it.. 🙂
hi, I think the mantis has many possibilities. You can put a battery in series 2s, you can shunt the controllers up to 30a each. The new CST 10x3 inch wheels give it a smoothness and cushioning without equal. You can improve the suspension with 3d printed ones, etc., I would improve the mantis since it is one of the most balanced on the market.
thanks for the update. just got my mantis 10 pro back. had got caught in the rain. and bonk. but i sent it out and it came back just fine from fluidfreeride. looking at adding varla eagle one and a euc wheel.
Question, is this the mantis 8 (dual 500w motors)? Because I want to purchase it as my first scooter. I know about the flat tire issue and think solid front tires will be my first upgrade. But the link you sent is 10 inch, so what model is this??
Any chance you'll be able to review the new Kaabo Mantis GT and compare it (aka same problems or resolved) with the one you fixed up? Videos at 250 mi mark and what not?
The Nanrobot D6+ that I have is a very powerful 40 mph+ electric scooter with near identical specifications to the Varla Eagle One. I highly recommend it.
Hey dude. Idk if it’s too much scooter but I’m probably waiting for the upcoming Wolf King GT. It’s more expensive than your current scooters but I mention it because you clearly love off-roading and the Wolf scooters are by far the best for that but also incredible and stable street scooters. As you know, once you go 40, you’ll want to go 50. Why not just nip that urge in the bud now lol
Nice video update. I do have a few recommendations for you, just let me know what you think. Vsett 10+R, Blade 10 60v, Yume X11, Nami Burn-e. Most of these scooters are faster than I'm used to, but something tells me your ready for a faster scooter. Just be careful with the Burn-e it's a scooter on steroids. Have a nice day and ride on brother
Great video as usual man,I suggest if you want a faster street scooter - Nami burn-e viper - why not get something that will do 50+ and stay ahead of the game
Had the same issue at 800 miles where the lower stem bracket bolts where loose. I tightened them today. It's surprising there is no locktite on them from the factory.
Do you have a detailed overview of how you fixed the front deck breakage from your 500-mile-Mantis video? That was incredibly concerning given my 4-month old Mantis has had nothing but issues since I purchased it: perpetually flaky front hub, excessive motor noise, defective front hydraulic break (that leaks a few ml each day). These videos are great for a new scooter rider like myself, thank you!
yes I have the same question also, seems like a huge issue. I do recall him tightening up the screws but that seems like a workaround rather than a fix
Hello. Im also trying to fit a 740mm handlebar on my mantis pro but my brake cables seem to be too short? Did u have enough cable for the brakes to fit or how did u manage to do it?
I had to put everything on the bars first and then clamp it in. I had to move my levers in closer to the center as well. You could cut them down to 720mm and that should be perfect
Great work. I have working hard on researching to buy a great scooter. I had almost decided to buy a Kaabo Mantis Pro, even if I wasnt too impressed with the weak design. And it seems that the week design is a huge problem. Then you have the problems with the tires. So then i went back to buy a Zero 10x, that was my first choice. Zero 10x and Varla seems to the from same factory but diffrent lines. But then i went to a shop i Stockholm and the agent has stopped selling zero 10x because of all the problems. Even if almost all videos seem more positive then negativ, there are som messy problems with 10x. The Stem espacially and you absolutley don´t want problems with the stem. And I dont like that the first you have to do when you buy a 10x for 2000 dollar is to buy a extra not optional stemlock form another 60 dollar. So after watching all videos vsett 10+ seems to the scooter. It is a new scooterline, reworked from zero-line and vsett seems, due to reviews, fixed almost all issues you could have on zero 10x. Better stem, faster, better in almost all way. A little more expensiv, 2500 dollar, but you save 60 dollar at once because you dont have to buy an extra stemlock. The problem for me is that I havent really have the chans to test any scooter of my own, but I have watched almost all videos there are on youtube och and read the reviews. One key is how things holds together over time. And Kaabo Mantis seems to have big problems when you cross 250 miles. Problems you dont want. You want things to hold over many miles and when things broke, wont be either expensive or too hard to change on your own. So I would like to see you review the vsett 10+. And keep on doing the videos what is happening with the scooters over the miles. Great videos that help you decide. If I buy a scooter for 2000 dollar, I would be angry to have the kind of problems you have with the Mantis.
@@johnmorson7003 I ended up buying a Vsett 10+. A fantastic, but expensive choice. The only problem I have had is flat tires. It is very important to pump the tires to the right pressure. If not, it is just a few meters and you will end up with a flat tire.
Please tell me what's the difference in between Varla eagle one and 010X they look the same but I like more the eagle one skole so what's the difference in between those 2 or are they the same scooter
There's the latest version of the Mantis, with improved stem, buttons that are not yellow and red anymore - the dual, turbo buttons - and top speed would reach 43-44 mph. Just a suggestion unless you want to change brand. 😛
id love to see the Nami Burn e it goes 60mph but obviously u dont need to drive that fast but it seems like an amazing scooter also the zero 10x seems like a good mantis replacement
Hmm 🤔 think I might just sell my Mantis before it starts falling apart. Anyways great video! Pretty much got the base the same time you did but have used it a lot less. At 330 miles atm.
Great reviews love watching your channel. I dipped my toes in with a hiboy S2 Pro is great for Boston Roads, but wanted something a little bit faster jumped to the Wild Wheel Pro love the scooter but my son has the high boy Titian Pro in his had two Flat tires. So that's why the two scooters I've chosen so far with solid but the but the WWE Pro is not good for any kind of significant bumps I hit a manhole cover raised up and went over the bars .it took a good chunk of the front rim. The machine only had 64 miles I contacted fluidfreeride they accepted it for a return on the agreement of me buying the Mantis 8 Pro shipped it back to them my new one was shipped out the next day and it will be here tomorrow have griptape ready for the deck and looking for a steering stabilizer. Wish me luck.
I would like to tell you that I also bought the eagle one by valor so is supposed to get here on the 1st of July I had a little bit of issue but the company asked me to return it and they sent me a brand new 1 so but I'm trying to get the solo tires put on I'm writing to you to ask you if that's a good idea For me to switch It does several Switching up to the solo tires can you please send me the link so I could purchase it for the eagle one I will appreciate that thank you and I enjoy watching your videos
note that if you live in united states any scooter over 30mph is not allowed on any roads. so unless you have trails of your own its not worth getting something over 40+. i have the vsett 10 and mantis pro and they both are equally matched after any scooter hits around 75 % charge will show there real speed....also most people going over 45 on scooters on the road or trail will tell you that staying consistently over those speeds will sooner or later guaranteed a gnarly fall and you'll feel the worriedness of falling here n there its part of human instinct to protect yourself and subconsciously knows going to fast no matter what scooter your riding will have that inevitably happened and trust me falling at 40mph is really ruff.....i fell at 10mph and it was pretty brutal ....full charge you can ride the mantis pro at 42 mph for the first 30 min to and hr depending on your weight then drops to 39 40 (75%charge) until your less then 25% then its around 36 37.. now the vsett+ is interesting bc ive had more battery drain on the vesett at higher speeds n the speeds aren't very different .... and the vsett tops around 47 and again it only stays there for 30 min to an hr and around 75% fluxes around 44 and that last little speed is gained a whole lot slower compared to the mantis pro. personally i feel safer on the mantis pro compared to the vsett...i also sealed the mantis and ride it in the rain no problem . some plugs where the wires can be vulnerable and bam ...rain proof. I've crashed on the vsett way more then the mantis pro .. i love both machines I'm just having dangerous badluck with the vsett for 5mhp extra speed on average ... i also noticed the battery specs on both are almost identical but the vestt has more power behind it so obviously it will die much sooner then the pro. average commute on the vesett 10 is no different from the mantis pro/ and the vsett looks like it can take a serious beating but looks are always perceptive. both scooters have a kick that if not paying attention can get you seriously hurt. ps i notice cops turn my way when i ride the vsett compared to the pro .... just saying the pro looks alot less like it should be pulled over lol and truthfully the cherry on the cake when i choose to ride the mantis over the vsett...mantis is the assassins scooter while the vsett is a definitely look at me escooter with the extra kick at the end to kinda make people say ....."uhhh is that allwowed?" or "how can i steal that?" .. changing the mantis to 3 inch tires makes it the BMW of scooters... vsett is more like a corvette, bugattis and martins are 3000+ scooters
