    The other acceptable situation to consider is if you have weight you want to lose and a life style choice and you are using the BJJ tournament as a goal date while setting up your nutrition plan around that micro goal. IMHO.

      I agree. I thought I may have mentioned that. Like, losing weight is just the healthy thing to do.

    Agree 100% - but it’s hard to swallow, “hobby”….like some dude’s stamp collection…years of blood, sweat, and tears 😭

      @@TopLevelJiuJitsu haaaaa…I defer to your expertise, but I will never think of my 35 years (on and off) of martial arts training as a hobby (whether that’s true or not)….😜
