30 mins of Morgan explaining fabrication and design is what you tube needs!
Thank you!!
I say this everytime. The amount of time needed to design and plan all the one off pieces on these builds has gotta be astronomical! You’re the best to ever do it mane.
Wow! All I can say is that Selena is looking sexier as MCD uploads new updates. Thanks for the update MCD.
Thanks for the support!! Share the channel!!
Broken record player here too- this thing is sick. Joey is doing awesome. Morgan’s brain works different. 🔥 👍🏻
Thanks for the support!
I could watch Morgan explain his work for hours. So satisfying and inspiring
Thank you.
Looking fantastic as usual. You should think about doing this for a living 🤪
THE WHIPS IN THE DUNGEON BEATS BACK WOOOO
#MCDMondays !!! Been waiting for this one. Great work!
Thank you
My son asked me what is my dream car and I told him I would have my tundra built by Morgan Clarke. Or Robby woods a very close second.
Thank you!
@mcd1 I wouldn’t put the S8 light bar in the hood cowl. The plastic trim inside makes it rigid. So if you cut that out it’s a floppy piece that will eventually crack and come off on the hwy or off-roading. Just be aware that you’ll need to add your own touch of design to keep it from falling off.
We will make bard mounted provisions on the chassis for it
Awesome content Morgan, I appreciate the information and your work being shared with us. Looking forward to seeing more videos.
Thanks for t support & watching!!! Please share the channel!
I would love to see a video about the business aspect. Talk some labor hours and ballpark costs for fabrication at this level. Obviously tons of variables but these videos rarely convey the 100s of hours these things take or the true costs involved. Great content, awesome workmanship.
That’s a tricky one!! There is definitely a lot to talk about. Just like fabrication, running a business is a whole other monster. Unlike corporate, you deal with individual personalities. Those come loaded with their own problems, trials & tribulations. We’ve only had to fire one client up to date. As with everything on the channel there will be a time and place where we get into the ins & outs with specifics!
MORGAN IM YOUR BIGGEST FAN
Nice work and walk through of your progress, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!! Please share the Channel!!
So damn sick
Thanks!!
Awesome build!
Amazing as always. Loved this update.
Thanks for watching!!
On the next update could you discuss the steering linkage from the steering wheel to the box? Just to see how you set it up, where it mounts, and if you will use a heim around the shaft as a support bearing.
Amazing work!!! hope one day my tundra will be close to this!! GOALS!!
Thanks!!
Love the longer episodes!!
Thanks for watching!!
That swaybar is so awesome. Never see them on beamed trucks.
Someone’s gotta do it!
Thank you! I thought you were done filming this beautify!🤙🏾👌🏾🧨
We aren’t done till she is out testing!! Then we will film her desert outings!! Your in for a whole lot more!!
@@MorganClarkeDesign1 goals for my tundra!💯
Absolute beauty. Would love to see a truck like this do a little flexing or crawling with the 4wd.
It’s time will come! Thank you!
Great vid, content, work, channel, all power to ya 👌💪
Thank you for the support!! Share the channel!!
Greatest Fab Content on the tube by far for me!! So much Fucking WANT😍
Thanks man. Appreciate it
As always, loving the content man. I cant wait to get my own thing going for dunes and off road here in michigan.
Thanks for the support!
Awesome, again!
Thank you!!
Your getting better at speaking and the camera, man is getting better at filming what your explaining 😎
Teamwork makes the dream work
Never thought about a sway bar on a TTB set up, always thought the radius the beam travels at was too much to design around but obviously I’m just not at Morgan McFab Daddy levels.
There’s a lot of packaging going in to getting it to work & not crash into anything through the travel cycle! It also needs to be a longer arm to help with the rate being progressive! Thanks for the support.
Damn I wish I could get a internship at your shop, you have some amazing fabrication skills!
Thank you!! Never hurts to try 😉
Killer
As always making dumb ape’s “like myself “ smarter. Keep up the knowledge.
I work so that one day I can hopefully afford to have Morgan build me a truck
Amen!
every time I watch these I want to go build super trick stuff for my cars but then I think about the time it takes to do it haha
No rest for the wicked my friend.
Fuckin AMAZING as usual! The sway bar is genius, I'm a beam lover & body roll is an issue, to soft & you're wallowing, to stiff & & you're unhappy
Thank you! There’s a lot of concepts & ideas many don’t care to explore because they are consumed with “what already works”. It you try new ideas, innovation sits on its hands!
I looked up the Bristol stool thing thinking maybe it would have something to do with fabrication, let me tell you it does not….
Got em!!
For some reason I thought Bristol stool chart would have something to do with prerunners😂😂😂
Got em!
How long does it take on average to cage a truck?
6 weeks
Ya.. I'm type 7 most every day🥺
Yikes!!
If beams basically travel up and down.. they don't swing back, why would you want shocks to be angled back a little.?
The go up and down but also arch
What do you plan on doing for the rad inlet since it appears to be right against the front sway bar?
raise it up a bit!
Why is the passenger I beam shorter than the driver side? I saw that in the last Selena update video that the passenger side was mounted in the center of the vehicle but the drivers side is mounted more toward the passenger side past the center line. How does this effect the vehicles handling? Or does this make almost no difference? I love these nitty gritty detail videos.
Thanks For the support! Good eye! Yes the passenger is shorter. It makes for some differences in camber change per side as well
As steering. Not terribly different but enough to measure different numbers.
Gorgeous! Id love to know what steering box that is. Is it a saginaw 708? Im in need of a extended sector shaft like that. love the bump can thats huggin it aswell 🤘
This tundra is fuckin dope . I’m curious to see what the travel numbers will be with rcvs or axels in it . As someone from the PNW 4wd is huge to have and center mount isn’t in the budget.
We are too!! Thanks for the support!!
Curious how you(or anyone who builds prerunners or race trucks) thinks about steering ackerman and angle. Obviously bump steer gets mentioned because of the amount of travel but I never see people speak on the other 2. It seems ackerman could be really important especially with such large tires.
Thanks and amazing video as always!
Thanks for the support! We engineer Ackerman into the design along with everything else. Wheel scrub for beam setups is a little limited with running a TTB with stock pivot locations. Fortunately we get to set up Proper caster & camber
What ever happened with this badass TTB build?
Financial intermission.
my poops are normal. I still want an apron.
Another great video! Curious why the owner chose to go 4x4 I-beam instead of center mounted J or A arm?
Because TTB fucks.
And engine can stay in the bay... More comfortable in the cabin when the motor isn't touching your knee.
Whoop scissors bro.
Nailed it
Love It. #MCD1 What gage sheet metal do you use in the floor boards and fender wells?
I’m not 100% sure but I think a lot of the steel panels are 18 gauge cold rolled or pickled in oil. Maybe he will verify.
18g or 16g cold roll sheet
Thanks for the support!! Share the channel!!
Hey Morgan do you guys do a root pass with ER wire and then is your cap pass done with silicon bronze wire for all of your tube joints?
Root and cover with er rod. Silicone bronze and er rod are not friends with eachother
@@MorganClarkeDesign1 thanks for the reply! I guess just the color of the cover pass just made it look like the a silicon bronze weld for the spider web in the roof. I guess I have more to learn than I thought.
Gas coverage & technique is key. Anyone can do it, it just requires practice
Cuz Kick Rock’s Motor sports ?
What kinda stool does Kibbe make when you show how much cooler you are
Don’t know who that is
Yah right you use to work for him.
Is there a follow up video anywhere of this truck I'd like to see it in action
Client is at a stand still. It’s currently for sale..
Where the truck at
I know this video is older but does the owner have an Instagram of this truck done ??
Do not watch while operating heavy equipment.
This is what the trd pro off road package should come with, the sticker package is horrible.
Amen.
bristol stool chart😂 cmon now
The chart was the shit lol
@21:30 why dose the OEM love Spaghetti would Less be more for them and run tight wiring and plumbing. Because fucking RACECAR!!!
Agreed.
So Fucken Binge Worthy🦾😎 the ALFA OMEGA OF BINGE!! i grew around Nitro and burn it for a living this shit makes me want to kick Rock’s
🙌🏿😂😂
