I’m trusting my black sister to put me on lol
I’m heading there in a couple weeks and need to be put on the best food lol
Yes! I hope you have a really good time. Let me know if you have questions.
Saaaame! My countdown starts now 🥳 1 more month
Sameeee! I'm happy to get a black perspective :)
I'm watching your video right now. I live in New Orleans and am saving up for an extended stay in Morocco :)
How cool! What's your favorite thing about New Orleans? I love that you are thinking about going to Morocco. How long would you stay there for?
I love it!! Nice experience. Travel safe
Thank you so much!! Have a great weekend.
Are you just as obsessed with New Orleans style food as I am? Let me know what food you recommend I try if I were to visit again!
I usually stay at the InterContinental, although The Inn at St Peters was cozy and closer to Bourbon Street.
A breakfast/brunch gem that I found was called Commerce. Their food was amazing, and if you wanted to lay in, they deliver.
For me, the star of Willy’s Chicken Shack was their biscuits that are drenched in butter and honey!! 😋
Thank you for the recommendations. I have been itching to go back to New Orleans and would not mind staying somewhere new! I agree with you about Willy's! Their biscuits with honey and butter are out of this world. So good.
I had to take a study break to watch this! I LOVE Nola. One of my favorite cities on the planet--I love the food and jazz. You look GORGEOUS-- I loved your hair and I love Momma Tracey's haircut. I see where you got your beauty. Thank you for this video, I have been to New Orleans three times. (well do I count the first time when I was about eight years old?) But I am always discovering new food spots and your video has added Luke's to my list. I enjoyed watching this. Glad you are well. Happy belated to Momma Tracey.
Thank you for taking time to watch my video! Now, go back and study lol. I really enjoyed my time in NOLA and I cannot wait to visit again one day. I straightened it for the trip and it reverted so quickly! My mom says thank you, I am talking to her now. Three times? That's awesome. What is your favorite thing to do in New Orleans (and eat)? Go to Luke! It's a little pricy but the food was good.

Yo
First, I appreciate the love you show your mother. It is heartwarming. As for the video, it's fun. Next trip, stay in The French Quarter at a historical or boutique hotel like The Franch Market Inn or Places d' Armes, to name two. They may be a little more expensive, but a lot better vibe and closer to the action. You visited a few "touristy" places, which is fine, but don't limit yourself. The French Quarter, TheTreme, Garden District and Magazine Street have some excellent and moderately priced restaurants. Try Johny's Po' Boy, Killer Po' Boys, The Gumbo Shop, Oceana, Desire, Willie May Scotch House, Lola;s, Domilise's Po;Boys, Dookey Chase, Irene's, The Pelican Club, Port of Call to just name a few.
Thank you and thanks for watching! I love my mother and look forward to taking her more places, hopefully soon! You gave some great recommendations and I am taking notes! Yes, to all of the places you mentioned. I can't wait to visit again. Take care!
With the Jazzy Pass were you all able to get a good look of the city. I am staying on the street car or trolley line. That will be my main transportation, I am trying to see more than just Bourbon and French Street
Yes, we were able to see quite a bit. We walked a lot too. Getting to the plantation trip was an additional cost (obviously) but they provided transportation there and back.
Such a cute, fun video. I’ll be there next month 🤗💕
Thanks for watching! I hope you have a great trip!
The Whitney Plantation is new to me....looked very interesting. Those sweet treats looked so good.
It was so good to see, although sad. Have you visited New Orleans yet? If not, look up a beignet recipe and try and make the treats at home if you can. They make a nice brunch item.
Happy birthday Mom!! 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
Love the Vlog, Jasmine! 💖
Hi, friend! Thank you so much! Mom says thank you too! She is on the phone with me now as I answer comments. I hope you had a great week so far!
There are many small places in the little country towns outside of New Orleans I swear have the best food the best cooks are in their own kitchens at home cooking for their families and their neighbors 😋😋😋
I totally agree!
Happy Birthday to your Mom!
Awwwww thanks! She says thank you!

I love NOLA!!! Your vid was great. I went during Mardi gras and loved it.I use Essential Her with a tiny bit of holding spray. I am the owner of JS BEAUTY SUPPLY. Email or check out our insta
It's definitely a great place to visit! I would love to see it during Mardi gras. Thank you for the tip! What's your email address?
SIESTA try France, Italy Europe
Thank you!
Me and my girl are planning a trip there. What's the best dishes you'll recommend, and is French quarters the height of where we should visit?
Sounds great! I think the french quarter is definitely a great place to visit at least once. We stayed in the area and it was nice to be centrally located to a lot of things. Shrimp and grits for sure! Of course, eat as many beignets as you can. Have a great time!
@@TheJazzyNation1 Thanks! Shrimp and grits noooooo 😅. My parents are originally from the south, but I must say I never could understand how shrimps and grits complement each other. Grits is such a early morning dish, and shrimps (🍤) for breakfast? 🤮 lol.
@@Ken-iu2zp Oh no lol! It's my mom's favorite dish. What about Gumbo?
Best thing to combat humidity is.. braids sis. Just put the hair away into lovely twists or braids when humidity hits.
Thanks for the tip! You are totally right.
For men it’s Gold Bond Medicated Powder. 😂😂😂😂
Yes Willies is the best chicken. So much better than typical Popeyes. Also Cafe Du mon is the best for benege
So true! I would have eaten their chicken everyday of my trip if I could. And yes, Cafe Du Monde was my favorite for sure!
Are you serious? 🤣
Why don’t you just go ahead and move here so I could meet you and we get married 😭
To NOLA? It's such a cool city. I am married though so a marriage would not work! Thanks for watching!
We loved this video. One of the best and most informative. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
cool video keep up the amazing work"
Thank you so much! Where are you from?

Great video! Cant wait to het down there! We are going on sunday!!!!!!
Hope you enjoy it! If you have any questions, send me a DM or an email.
FINS is a must. Stay with a hotel with Balcony. Smoking is allowed, I think. On the Balcony of course
Thanks for your recommendations!
Daisy dukes, Willie’s chicken shack? No local would ever be caught doing anything but walking or driving past those places. Sorry Sista.
Where would you recommend someone checkout that I did not mention in this video? I know people would be interested in visiting a place a local would enjoy. Thanks!
Planning on a trip this January with family and kids. Would you be so kind as to recommend some local places?
I go to both places for lunch.
@4:23 exchange that for vernors....thank me later 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you!
Where are you from ?
I am from Colorado! What about you?
