- In this video we will take a look at the RB 75 A2G Missile. The RB 75 is the swedish variant of the AGM65 Maverick and therefore is proably familiar to most DCS pilots.

The guys who programmed that scope did a great job. Chromatic abberation, lensing, scan lines... I can only imagine how awesome it looks in VR. It's kind of trippy seeing a piece of glass magnifying a screen *through* a screen. 0_0
4:09 if i remember correctly: T1 allows movement, TV locks the target and T0 recenters the camera

John, one minor correction. T1 allows slewing, not T0. I can see how this a bit confusing because of how the multi position switch mapping works.

Could be more precise the target waypoint ring/circle? I m having it wrong within 15 m offset of target. (The qfe is fine) and coordinates are good.

Hey nice video im trying to use the rb75's but the scope wont turn on, I have it set to ANF and i selected rb75
so what is the difference between these 3 different RB75 types available in the Viggen ????
i like to do or learn a SEAD attack ; with automatic countermeasures. could you do a tutorial ?
RB 75 A is a AGM-65A, the RB-75B is a fictional swedish agm-65B variant, which has better magnification, the T is a RB-75A with a larger 300lb blast fragmentation warhead for taking out larger/harder targets. the A/B have a 125lb Shaped Charge warhead designed to take out vehicles

Can the viggen be used effectively against targets you didn't program? Like can you just jump to a random mission and engage ground targets in any mode without the damn nav computer?
Try going to takt and type in 666,then hit ls.
Is the RB 75 B out yet? From my understanding, that should have the zoom capability. I wonder where the switch will be for the zoom, as well as how much it improves the pilots ability to ID and lock a target.

You can select the RB 75B in the mission editor. However, I am not sure how the zoom would work. Maybe radar range controls?
It would be convenient if the seeker heads for subsequent RB 75s started off looking in the same direction as the one which was just launched. I wonder, is there is a way to get the system to do that?
That would save a lot of time, I notice when you step to the next missile the EO seeker is boresighted again, which is sort of useless unless you are diving directly at the target. Perhaps the "next missile button"?
Yeah that would be convinient. However, I don't think there is such a system in the Viggen unfortunatly....

Hey john the slewing in the optical sight is somewhat bugged. But if using the slew in setting up BX8 or positioning the cursor on the radar, the movements of the direction of the slew are normal. In the optical sight, the up is down and the down is up. which makes it harder even more to acquire targets.

I covered most of the basic functionality in the Basic Navigation Video.
Not sure if I will go really deep with the Time on Target and reconnaissance functionality as it is quit complex and I am not sure if a lot of people will care.

The EP13 is too light and has no contrast. I cant lock anything. Any solution or fix for that?
There is a keybinding for the sight. Sadly, the panel itself has not been implemented.

Fadenkreuz am Hud gibt es nicht.
hi do you know what the difference between the 75 the 75t and the 75b is?
The 75 is the standard variant. The 75B should have an improved seeker that has some zoom functionality (currently it doesn't in DCS) and the the 75T has a bigger warhead.

does they need to be preheated on cold start? in the SVK squadron in multiplayer me and my friend have tryed and tryed to get them to work but we cant figure out how... cause I have been able to use the sight on ground before but in that server atleast I cant even get that wich must be cause im not sure if they are already preheated or not. :/ aswell as whats the diffrens between the types of RB-75:s? cause its the normal one then there is two others with letters behind them what might be hte diffrens?
I don't think there is pre-heat for the RB 75.
I think the B version might have a better sensor with actual zoom capability and the T could be the training version. However, I am not sure if any of that works yet.
well then can you maybe try and see if you can get it started in a cold start senario? cause as far as I can tell if you cold start with mavriks you cant use them cause atleast for me I cant get the EP-13 sight to go on no matter what I try and even if I go thru and do all the steps you did aswell as beeing in the air for a while nothing seems to work. there is some sort off trick to it cause I have seen pepole in cold start server use them but not sure how they do.
ah I see thanks for the info but yeah it might not work yet cause as far as I know you cant zoom with it at all "yet" and I have blown shit up with the T version too so. XD guess back to the books and internet to find an answer to this madness. XD great videos btw they are very teaching aswell as thanks for answering so quickly your one off the few that does that nowdays. :)
Just gave the cold start a try. The Mavericks work just fine.
Did you turn your generator on?
hmm thats weird maybe its just in online then on that specific server cause I cant get it to work there but I migth try a cold start single player and see if I can do it there too. if you like flying viggen to shot ships I recomend that server strongly the SVK squadron is only cold war aircraft and ground targets and its awsome. :) shot down a Viggen and a Sabre in my MIG-15 yesturday was so happy. XD
yeah always but might try to even put on backup generator and see if it works then. did you cold start with or without ground electrics on from crew?
yepp just did the instant cold start mission and yeah the mavriks works fine thats really odd... need to get them working in that server tho its the only server that only has cold war everything right now so I dont have to fly a viggen against like a SU-27 cause that would not end well.
What keys are you using to slew EP-13 sight?
The radar slew controls are used for the RB 75.
Yeah, I mean what keys are you using to look left or right with it
Or the name of control I need to map to a button
The proper names are: Radarstick Up/Down/Left/Right

you don't need money. I build my own using ir leds, a ps cam and opentrack for less then 20€. Really easy to do as well and it works perfectly

Most planes will have a button, usually somewhere on the numpad that will move your eye to the scope. I know the A-10 has view points for both MFDs, the CDU and other parts.
My guess it will be as simple as pressing a hotkey to lock the camera to where you need.
what are the keys for slewing?
The same buttons you use for slewing the radar crosshair arround.

how do i move it down?
By applying the "Radarstick Up" command after pressing down the Fix Trigger to the T1 position.

You can load only one Air-to-Ground weapon type at a time. Mixing does not work.
oh okay thanks! hey can you do a video about the ck37 and putting in 9099 in REF LOLA and LS/SKU confirm it then switch to TAKT and enter 666 and then LS/SKU and you get a surprise :p dont forgett to have tha radar on
I have seen that! That easter egg is quit cool. Make sure you switch between A1 an A2 radar mode as well!
