Hi Ben. Thanks for posting your video. My wife and I moved to Ecuador last week. Currently in Guayaquil, but we booked a bungalow in Montanita for a month starting next week. We went through Airbnb too and ours ended up being $700 with the fees and all. Where are you finding good deals for apartments around Montanita and Manglaralto? Thanks!
a lot of pricing through Airbnb depends on a lot of factors. I got a good deal because I booked months in advance, I booked the place for 3 months (the longer you book the better price you get sometimes. also price can change depending on the season. i was there during the tourist “off season” so it was cheaper.
you can also save money if you by pass Airbnb and look through Facebook market place. you rent directly through the host or landlord and avoid all the extra fees you get with Airbnb
Wow!!! You get a lot, and all utilities for $400.00. Is there cheaper Airbnb rentals in the area? In Montanita is there enough things to see and do!? Do you find yourself ever feeling bored? Gyms in Montanita?
honestly I didn’t get bored but I was only there for a month before moving on to a bigger city in Ecuador. if you like to party, hang out on the beach or surf you should be just fine
it’s very rare that you will get an apartment with its own washer and dryer. luckily there are lavenderias All over the place. no matter where you are there will be several lavenderias within walking distance ( some will pick up and deliver) they are super cheap. they weigh your clothes, take your name and give you a time to pick it up. and no worries if you don’t speak Spanish, they are used to it.
I think you found a pretty smokin' deal, good for you!
thanks!!
GREAT enjoy .THANKS for sharing
thank you!
Thanks Bend
thank you
We are going to be staying in this area ifor the month of January and I was wondering what is the best way to get there from the airport
there are busses from the airport that go to manglaralto, montanita and olon
@@benaroundtheworld7847 awesome thanks. We can't wait we are doing a year of travel starting in January
hope you enjoy your travels!
400 usd is good. I live in Merida Mexico i pay 350 usd for everything rent, electricity, water, cable,WiFi,and garbage.
I’m currently in playa Del Carmen but I’ll be moving to Felipe Carrillo puerto where it’s considerably cheaper

there are cheaper places but the less you spend the less you get.

no gyms that I saw but I also didn’t look
I’m pretty new at this so I may be overlooking it. Is there a link for this particular Airbnb?

@@benaroundtheworld7847 Thank you for responding. I'll be in Ecuador in June and putting all the pieces together.
I think the bars are to keep the roosters out lol
chickens everywhere! and dogs and cows and horses!
Ámsterdam huh? Why is that?
marijuana has been legal in montanita for years
Doesn’t that rooster drive you nuts?
I could do without it. haha!!
@@benaroundtheworld7847 you must be a patient guy . Great place but that rooster would be a deal breaker for me.
