Wow. That was a really cool documentary. Just wondering when they'll have an escalator that goes up 'Number One Mountain' all the way to the Golden Temple. I don't think I could make it up, otherwise. Really interesting stuff. I know a lot of new age spiritual people are hating on that 'skeptic' dude, they kinda cast as the youtube villain to qi gong in this film, but if you're from the West, how could you just believe that there is such a thing as chi? You see 'That's Incredible' on TV as a kid, you're like . . WOW. But you get older, it's more natural to NOT believe or trust qi gong. Right now, it's the 'last' option for a lot of people, and I actually know of some people who's health has become much much better after going with Chinese Medicine, after Western Medicine failed them. But. The coolest thing was not the stuff on qi gong or the demonstrations or the testimonials, it was the cool granddaughter. What I love about the way most Chinese look, when they have strong ties to China, is that they don't have ANY of that 'auditioning' stuff people in America have when they are being filmed. AND. This young woman, the way she does the sword form at the end, she's not practicing for an international gold medal. It's more personal and it's a sign of someone on the lifelong path. This old dude was unlucky with how his parents lived and died, during those awful times in China, but more than blessed with an heir to his legacy. And. One big thing for me is that if these old Chinese dudes are masters of energy, where's the 'charisma' and the 'attracting' aspect of it? And when you see the granddaughter teaching at the end, she has that and I've never seen anyone with it before.
