R.I.P. Luke Bell. Our hearts are forever broken May your music live on forever!!! You'll ALWAYS be my Country Music Hall of Famer!!!
Rest In Peace, Luke. The man had a sadness to his voice, even for country music. Grew up in Wyoming, spending summers on his grandparent’s ranch. That’s real country.
This man is singing the story of his own life here and the story of many a men. What a capturing song
Agreed 100%. I randomly heard this song on playlist and stopped what I was doing to listen. After finding out about his passing, it’s even more haunting
I’m sorry to say that I was only introduced to Luke’s music after reading an article about “a country music artist” having passed away in Tucson, I got on UA-cam to see what his sound was. DAMN.
I didn’t expect to find a TRUE country musician and vocalist.
So sorry for his family, friends and fellow musicians who knew and played music with this truly talented person. Thankful for the music he left behind, wished I had discovered his music another way.
Rest In Peace
Same here sir! Sad he is gone, but like Kieth Whitley well over 30 years ago I hope his music goes viral after his sad passing!
RIP Luke. What a fine, fine cowboy
I think I prefer this recording to the record version. It’s more emotionally raw.
I turned off the recorded version on Spotify so I could listen to this version.
Fentanyl from China. Loved Luke.
I hope other country singers take note. We don’t want your played out cowgirl pop country anymore. This man should have never left earth. He was what country music needs. RIP buddy.
I come back to this video at least once a month. He had many great songs but this is my favorite. my wife and I lost a son in 2016. that was about the time i discovered Luke’s music. Where you been got me through some dark shit. When this randomly comes up on a playlist of mine now, i just smile. very rarely does an artist have any impact on me. I have my favorites but at the end of the day they are just people like me. Luke was different. dude just had a legendary auora about him.
This is such an easy song to sing along to in the car but i usually just listen now. RIP Luke. I hope you’re still somewhere playing music.
Sorry for your loss bud. I come here often too. Luke was really an old soul in today's age
😥😥😥 this song really defines and embodies your deep suffering. Your pain is no longer. I wanna scream out in the deep pain i am feeling right now. May the peace and love of Christ surround your spirit. I will always play your songs. RIP!!🙏🏼❤️⚘️
I’m so sad about this news. It gives this song so much more meaning for me. The news of his death hit me like a gut punch. I had always hoped luke would release another album. His first was one of the best. I guess that dream is over. Truly Luke, I hope you have found peace, over yonder.
I couldn't have said it so well.
Still miss this fella. RIP, Mr Bell, where ya been?
Never heard of this fella, but this song has the old school country feel to it. I can hear this in an old dive bar with old domestic pick ups outside in a gravel lot
He’s a good man. Despite what happened.
Underrated
May Lukw rest with God in heaven.! Taken too early.
jesus, he's good
Can’t believe someone didn’t pick up on his need. Talented soul trying to live in our imperfect and unkind world.
Its a shame we lost him a good singer
Damn! We lost this guy too soon! I wish more people knew about his talent!
Knew of Luke before his passing, but didn't know about his personal struggles.
Hate that he's no longer with us.
R.i.p
RIP MY FRIEND
Where’d ya go? :-(
R.I.P.
Sounds like a young dwight yokam
He does remind me of him a good bit
What a talent... What a void. :(
good stuff
wow incredible voi c e
❤💔
rip bud
RIP 🙏🏽COWBOY
RIP
Is this and Loretta the only two videos of Luke singing on LR Baggs?
Can anyone pin point the chords he’s using in this video? The ones I’m finding on Tabs are not accurate and I’d like to practice this song the way he picked it in this video. Thanks in advance!
It’s pretty standard E, A, B7 country.
🔥🔥
Super ironic
*RIP Luke...No better "Friend" than Christ Jesus!* 💐
Why Luke? Why?
A singer/songwriter brilliantly channeling his troubled life into a simple song. Good writing. Not so much on display here, but he was a talented singer.....
