- Here’s an abridged version of the Rain Song- one of my favorite Zeppelin songs! Had it playing on repeat all this week so I thought I would try my hand at covering it.

Hey Emmy, back here a year later. I didn’t truly start valuing the profound beauty of this great Zeppelin track until recently. It’s one of their most beautiful songs, and one of the best on the album. Great job on this and hope to see more covers like this in the future !

Cool! I learned it in G when I was a teenager from Houses of the Holy. Are you using an alternate tuning? I always used an Ab9 (6th position) to a G9 (5th position)at the end of the phrase. One of the most beautiful Zep songs ever. Luv it!

I signed up to take a one hour tutorial with Jimmy Page at my local music store, of all things!!! Page staggered into the store, laid his head on the desk, and nodded off into an opiated slumber for the entire hour. His guitar tech quickly took over and answered questions and actually played Page's guitar parts, teaching the thirty people in attendance exactly how Page played certain Zeppelin guitar parts. Page never came to, reeked of alcohol, and was obviously nodded out on opiates of some form of another. I'm a retired chemical dependency counselor and mental health professional, so I know opiate use when I see it! Trust me, all 30 of us, who paid to be there felt beyond disappointed!!! I lost a degree of respect for Mr. Page due to this experience. I will always love Zeppelin and Jimmy Page was the musical director for that awesome band! It was so sad to see how the disease known as chemical dependency had ravaged his body and mind. Very, very sad! I pray he has found recovery since that extremely disappointing event! ✌🏼😎❤️
