I was thinking of my wonderful dad that got sick & passed around this time of year & I remember stringing Christmas lights with him as a kid. Would love to know how Bethany used the hanging baskets to make those hanging light ornaments. Kudos Aaron, Laura, Bethany and Paul! You did a fantastic job! Most of all, thank you for sharing it with us.
I’m not Bethany but I can tell you. She put a strand of lights inside of a basket and then set another basket on top of it (opening of each basket facing each other) and zip-tied them together.
A subdivision does a Christmas light show every year. They us chicken wire made into a ball. Then put lights on/in it.
@@TreeHugginT what kind of baskets do you use.
Take two wire hanging baskets (the kind you would line with moss IF you were going to plant in them), place the rims of the baskets together to form a ball. Using several zip ties, join the baskets together firmly. Now wrap the ball with a string of lights! 🟣🔴🔵🟢🟡 And Voila!
@@callikohl5698 the round plant hanging baskets. Really any kind of basket would work. I wouldn’t use wood or plastic because it would be more of a fire hazard (even though LED lights don’t get as hot as the incandescent lights).
But any metal basket that makes half of a shape that you can put a second one on top of to make the rest of the shape. I hope I’m saying that in a way that’s understandable.

Couldn't help by notice the shadow of the camera on Laura in the beginning and all I could think of was wow- she has mad skills. She was walking, looking at the camera, away, stopping and going, and all smooth and steady for us viewers. Such a pro- I'd be all over the place with the video LOL

The first word out of my mouth when the tour started was…Oooh! It reminded me of all the Christmas Eves our parents drove us through the lighted decorated neighborhoods, which we continued with our children. Then the tears started, our parents are gone and we’re empty nesters. I think just the two of us will go out this year in search of decorated neighborhoods. Merry Christmas and thank you!🎄🥰❤️
You should, pack some snacks, hot coco, take some pictures and enjoy. My husband and I still go every year. We look up on google where to go for the best light displays. Merry Christmas 🎄
Hold on to the memories. my husband and i used to do that every year and he passed away this year so it will just be me. i don't know if i will have the heart to do it. it's much more fun with someone else to share it with.

You know, I lost most of my Christmas spirit when my mom died years ago, but I think you have just brought a little bit of that back. This display has me in tears. It's so beautiful and bright (without that Christmas Vacation light show ;) yet has such a serene and peaceful vibe. Here’s the part where others “will laugh and call me names” but I literally cried watching just how gorgeous everything looks. Santa and Rudolph will have no problem locating Samantha and Benjamin’s house, at all. Thanks for putting so much effort into making this old lady fall in love, all over again, in the magic of Christmas 🎅🏻

Wanted to add that the music that was playing during the light reveal was perfect. Relaxing and added ambience to the whole enjoyable time of us getting to see and applaud all four of your efforts. This lady could have sat here and enjoyed the view for hours. Would have loved to see the wonder on the faces of the kiddos when they seen it for the first time all done. Priceless.

I actually had tears in my eyes while watching….I always get a little emotional this time of year due to a couple losses in my life. You both have such a positive and uplifting outlook on everything and we are all so blessed to be a part of your lives. We are in our 60s but every year we get out there and decorate everything for Christmas. We do it for the kids in the neighborhood. Yours look beautiful!
I have a three and a half year old grandson that loves decorating for any and all holidays. Laura, along with you and Aaron’s influence, Griffin has re-motivated me to make more of an effort. I shared this video with my daughter-in-law, and she said when Griffin watched it, he said, “now this is what I’m talking about!”

2022 Lights of many colors. Beautiful, love it. 2023 all twinkling lights. Beautiful. I love it. I love everything she an Aaron does for Christmas. Laura's creativity on all holidays,every season is so amazing. If she's filling containers,to adding plants ,bulbs,trees,shrubs to the property, it's all so coordinated . Her vision to see something from a small plant to how it will fill in and look in a few weeks, to trees that will take years, but just tge arrangements are perfect. I copy so many of her ideas,for I just don't have the foresight of what things will look like. So thankful for their channel. Nobody else comes close in gardening videos. An it's not just the gardening, it's family,pets, community, friends.
Absolutely LOVE the camera shot coming down the driveway with the lighted trees on each side. I have started saving your videos for the end of the day, rt before bed. My husband falls asleep, and I can enjoy your videos in peace. Then, I can fall asleep, dreaming about gardening and other fun activities.
So beautiful. I lost my brother this year. I am a widow of 9 years. I live alone. Yet, seeing this gives me that Christmas feeling back again for this year. Such beautiful job you all have done. Love the tempo of the music too.

Having owned pet rabbits, I instantly thought "Rabbit" when I saw the chewed cord.🐰 For some reason, they just love to do that! The lights are just perfection! I enjoyed seeing the gardens "outlined" that way! I sure hope Bethany has recovered! She really came up with a great deco! Merry Christmas!
WOW! It’s so festive and I LOVE IT ALL. It’s hard to describe to you what it means to see all the effort that goes into this display. I have no family locally and I will be turning 71 in a few short days from now so I don’t put up lights outside any more. I do occasionally get out at night during this time of year and locally there are many pretty light displays. Nothing compares. Lights look fantastic. We always had rabbits chewing on electric wires. Ate the cable under our house and our pet rabbits will chew on any electric cord that is out, so we are very careful where we let them hop.
Yes, the skating rink is a must if not this year, next, if it stays cold enough in your area. My dad was a professional skater and made a backyard ice rink for me every winter. Wonderful memories…. The lights are beautiful. I’m going to have to watch five or six more times to take it all in.
That little change in elevation the deer are perched on looks so pretty all lit up. And I love Bethany’s hanging orb lights! My dad has an enormous pine tree that would be so fun to decorate with a bunch of those.
That was simply amazing!! Paul and Bethany - you are artist with the lights!! And Laura and Aaron, all I could think of was look how many plants, trees and shrubs you have planted and grown on this property. A Christmas wonderland for all of us to enjoy. Thank YOU so much!!

Laura and Aaron, I agree it would be nice to to share your holiday garden with the community. A night of lights would be a wonderful way to do so. Just one or two nights that folks could drive through to enjoy your display. You could even have a lottery to limit the traffic and/or a fundraiser supporting a community organization.

How fun! I watched this with my youngest and he said the end shot of the property taken from above looks like a train! The North garden being the front of the engine and the South Garden and Loop being the box part. It made me smile and thought of Benjamin's love for trains =)

So many positive comments; I don’t have the time to read through them all. You guys go all out to give us fun things to see and enjoy! As for the chewed through cord out in your south garden, it COULD be a bunny. My parents had bunnies for a few years and would occasionally bring them in the house. Once, when I was visiting, I could hear a loud crunching sound coming from behind the chair I was in and leaned over to see what it was. The bunny was happily chewing through the telephone cord. Mmmm, good! Almost made it all the way through the cord and wire. Also, squirrels have made themselves at home under the hood of my car and have chewed through some wiring in there. I’ve never known they’ve done it until I try to start the car. 🐿 🐰
