@@Jim_woods still works fine for me. Same quality, maybe, just maybe, it heats a little more during work now, not sure - but no lag or freeze or turn off... works totaly fine technically, cables are Ok too. This product worth its money for sure.
Have read a review and also seen a disclaimer on manufacturer website that when in duo channel mode, resolution on front dashcam is reduced, have you experienced this? As kind of off putting.

@@juno4296 lol. It's the Region of Waterloo (Mostly Cambridge) in Ontario, Canada. I ended up buying two A800S models. They work perfectly. Someone rear ended my wife''s car a month ago and you could even see the driver's eyes looking to change lanes and not paying attention when he hit. Great resolution.

Remember that if you want to use the camera when the car is parked it has to be hard wired to your car's battery.

I have a very old one which works great here's why: a recent accident caught the plate of a high-speed car passing by doing 80 mph clear as day (very important) and my night vision works just as well

Nice! I have two older models, the separate GPS module sucks works only when he wants. Is good that they integrated in to the camera.

1) videos saved in memory card when played do they play normal or in time lapse?
Am having issue with Kent Cameye which plays saved vides only in times lapse which is useless.
2) Do the fresh recordings overwrite the old memory ?

Is the USB port connected to the camera Mini USB or the Micro USA? Can the beeping sound be turned off when the dashcam is initially powered?
My only concern is that they don't offer a supercapacitor version. In Australia it is very hot in summer and I'm worried about the battery in the camera
That is a valid concern... here in Canada it never gets hot enough

Yes but only if it’s hard wired to your car’s battery. I didn’t get to try it because I didn’t hard wire it

Never bought a dash cam before, A year ago i looked into dash cams and i was debating with myself should i get a front one or a dual, then i saw the prices and said nope they are expensive and i got priorities, forgot all about it, then about a month ago i been in a hit and run guy rear ended my car he was under the influence, Now insurance is accusing me of tampering with the frame and i can't money out of them to fix it, Now if only i had a dual camera on my car i wouldn't go through all this trouble and legal problems, just a simple 1 minute footage would have helped me, So now i been looking into affordable dual cams for my car and came across this one on Aliexpress, after i buy this dash cam i will never go without a dual cam on any of my cars ever again, Always use heavy dark tint on my rear window, would this still be able to take clear videos through dark tint ? and thank you for the review great job
front dash cam would've sufficed too. because a front dash cam will still show you that you are not driving recklessly. if someone hits you from the back you know the car will shake and it's not your fault.

2. What will be the remedy if driver is driving with non smart phone/without apps instead of owner in the car and require to capture the incident footage if required. Because 3/4 hours video will be deleted.
3. Is it possible to monitor the apps in multiple devices/mobiles simultaneously. Because if owner not on board so require to capture the incident video through car attendant.

They record at the same time. You can choose to se the footage from the front of the back on the screen. No matter what you see on the screen, both cameras still record

it records in 4:3, I stretched it to 16:9 to fit the screen
Hey, I had the Pro, now i have the pro plus+ and the recording on pro plus+ is much smaller when I download to the phone then the pro, i think is 4:3 but I want to record and downloan in 16:9. How can I do that? Thanks
I got the Pro Plus, and it heats up when in use. Does it heat up when connected to the battery, since it's always powered?

Nice review bro! I only got one issue right now, and it says "Damaged SD card" when the SD card is already full. I thought it is overwriting the old videos so it wont be full? I have updated firmware btw.
I've got two of the original 70mai cameras. One is fine the other didn't like the SD card I used in it. Every now and then it would say replace the sd card. If you format the card in the camera it works for a few weeks. I put a brand new sandisk extreme in it and it has been working fine ever since.

I can't say I was able to read a license plate :/ I think that is a good reference to compare dash cams ... on what distance can you read a plate.

max resolution available, HDR turned on. Please keep in mind that at the max resolution it doesn't record in 16x9...so I zoomed in the video to make it fit the screen

My front cam footage looks squished when I replay it with black bars on either side. The rear cam looks more letterboxed like yours, Any idea why that is?

Hi! What is the program that you can edit the videos? I use Camtasia and it doesn't work for me. As i want to edit them i won't see them in my edit screen. The only place i see the footages is in imported videos and if i open them i would see it in much worse quality frame rate is very bad. But the original is perfect! The cam is 70mai A500S dash cam pro plus 2.7k. When i connect the camera with an usb cable on my computer, i cannot acces it directly from my pc...to see, copy the movies. I need to acces it with my phone.

La mine in program "camtasia" le vad doar la video-uri importate ca sa le folosesc si daca dau dublu click se vad in scari. Cand le trag jos in program sa le editez nu mai vad nimic. Asta e problema acum la mine. Daca dau play in bs player direct se vede clar ca lacrima si cu viteza normala...doar in program se vede in scari. O sa incerc si cu programul descris de tine. Iti multumesc frumos, cu respect si salutari de la Campina, Prahova.

it records continuously but it cuts the recordings in 2 or 3 minute clips

Hey, i hv 70mai dash cam pro... Today i hv updated the cam now its doesn't work... menu is disappear. LED is turn off. no key is working except turn the off the camera.. i cnt connect the camera with mobile too... could u hlp me out?
There are many negative comments on amazon. Many say that they are facing issue with sd card detection. Did you try different cards on it ?

it records with both the front and back, check the footage on the sd card.

Wha's the problem with dash cam pro plus a500, I've set video resoulution max and hdr on, but video quality bad, looks like wga camera. I' ve cheked video in micro sd car sizes, show 20mbs of video sizes.

It has a internal battery but it’s not meant to keep the camera on when the car is parked. Has to be hard wired to the car’s battery

I installed a rear camera in my car just in case… well on my new car anyway. I didn’t on the previous cars because I was lazy to hide that cable. It would probably come in handy if something would be to happen on the road 🤷♂️

The battery inside the camera cannot be used to power the camera. It has to be plugged in
I had 70 mai pro before and it had voice commands. Unfortunately i could not find voice commands for a500s. It really annoyed me. And its built quality is not that good anymore.

It records in 4:3. I just stretched/zoomed the image to fit a 16:9 screen.

nice video, I have 70mai Pro+ too but how come when I viewing my footage that only shows 4:3 (square) but not 16:9 (wide)?? any settings I need to do? my video resolution is 2592x1944.
That's how it records, 4:3. I stretched the footage to fit the screen for this video...doing that will also mean a lower quality

You can't see any license plate during night recordings. That's a big con, but otherwise it seems good.
Do you have the newest Firmware? I'm not able to receive a GPS Signal. In the Video there ist only km/h ---, Location ---.

Hi sorry for the inconvenience I have the 70mai dash Cam Pro Plus A500S, with rear camera and there is no way to connect to the camera wifi, the camera network appears on the cell phone in wifi networks but does not take it, always takes the car entertainment system Toyota Smart Conect, in the camera wifi point is on, and in the app 70mai, the camera is added but does not appear activated, and I get the screen that is activated manually, but I have to mark the chec that is not activated the wifi point on the camera and it is, and if I mark it and give it to connect manually, I choose the camera wifi and tells me that it does not find ip, the truth is no longer that more to do, because of course the path of the routes does not let me see them. I would appreciate if you have any solution. Thank you very much for your help.
So the Wi-Fi connectivity works as follows. The camera makes a Wi-Fi network and the phone connects to that network. The camera cannot connect to any Wi-Fi networks and doesn’t use internet
Hi... Do you know why can't it store more than the current day? Every time I'm using the camera all the previous recordings are gone, there is nothing else except what was recorder "today"...
You probably need a bigger sd card. Basically when the sd card gets full the oldest recordings will be deleted and the newer ones will take their place
@@RedskullPro but why is it deleting ALL the previous recordings? I mean I have NOTHING left from the previous days and it's just the current day saved, no matter if there are 30 minutes or 4 hours...
In my opinion is better to have 2 separated dashcams instead of the dual because it's annoying connectiong the cable from the front the rear camera, and in case one doesn't record an accident because a problem with the dashcam or memory card, you still have the other dashcam. I have The 70Mai pro on the front and the 1S on the rear window. I will buy the Pro Plus soon and fit the Pro on the rear window as the 1S has pooor quality and I'll stop using it.
I Agree as in the small disclaimer manufacturer states in duo channel mode front cam resolution is reduced! What's the point then..i am thinking of getting 2 x A400's for front and rear both plugged in to separate 12v sockets...should work fine? Hopefully app lets me add second camera

that's how the camera films. You can't do anything about it. In this video I zoomed in the footage to get it to show on the full screen. Doing that loses video quality

ok i think i found the purpose of the sticker.. hehe.. i also downloaded the vlc player and works better and clearer.. have you notice some lags on the video sometimes?

Can I ask when you turn it on/off? Or we leave it always turn on? Will it automatically clear space when memory is full?
It turns on when you turn on the engine, and turns off when you turn off the engine. If hard wired to your car's battery it will go into a parking mode when it senses that the car isn't moving. The oldest footage gets deleted constantly and new footage written over

Transfer it on pc, it will get clear on pc, if you transfer on the phone for somehow it get blurred
