Im interested in one of these. I know we have likitationsnwith compression through YT but is rhis a good and full sound at a decently low volume or dontou have to kimda crank it uonto get that warm full sound? Obviously our definiteions and ideas of a fill sound might differ but, you know... I appreciate any insight you might jave tinoffer.
This is playing at about 5 wpc If your speakers are efficient 96 db@1m @1watt you should have no problem. If you want to play at Concert levels.. You might want to get something bigger maybe a 730 or a 930 would be a better fit.. This one has been completely recapped with some added capacitance in the power supply..
First, is this shin-shirasuna (made in jp) or Roland (made in tw)? What was done to this unit? Why all this test gear when nothing is shown of its performance (electrical) as a receiver?
It's a Shin made in Japan. Completely gone over and recapped. If you want to buy it I'll make a spec check video for you. The video is about equipment you might have wanted when you were younger but never bought. Not about how to repair.
One of my first receivers, I had it paired with JBL L100 back then and it was a great combo!
Harmon Kardon allowed sears to sell this unit with the sears name on the unit. It was a great receiver.
I don't remember Sears.. But H/K did brand receivers under the XAM brand for E J Korvettes
I bought mine for 800 sek, sweden.. it's like 80 dollars.. sounds perfect
