Not really! Lots of children are brought up in single parent families and do just find. Plus:
You can still have a father who can try to raise the boy the best he can but if the boy is not willing to listen, what’s the use of the father?
      &

Boys have a higher chance of being in the streets and joining gangs and young girls end up pregnant at a young age. If you look at all the people who grew up without a father figure, but _still_ had a stable loving home, good friends, good school and a supportive family and community, it's a shockingly small percentage that end up as criminals, just because one parent is missing. In a healthy society, a parent should just be one of many supporting pillars lifting up our children.

Achieving one goal gives you purpose to achieve a bigger one. I'm 65 and spent too many years in the streets in a biker gang. I had to purposely force myself into another life, another mind so my children could have a better life. It started with saving up enough for a bus ticket to a different state. Today I own land, my children have college degrees and good jobs. It took me walking away from the life I had. You can do it. I see your heart is searching for a life with true meaning. You can do this!

Retired teacher here, poor children, immigrants, etc. Denzel speaks the truth. I always said something similar. If the parent(s) are absent, addicted or otherwise not on the job, there is no real family, and kids will find a family where they can. That is the same for all races. I taught Asians, Black kids, Latinos, and a few white kids too. Find a goal is good advice. Let job goals be legal, realistic, and sufficient to support a family. It's a grind, but pays off. God first always. Denzel has the Holy Spirit's inspiration.

People are starved for this message. What a empty life most of us live thinking only of our own selfish wants and desires, and pursue them at the expense of others and often time neglecting and inflicting pain on our fellow man. What a great suggestion to start every day on you knees, humbling yourself before God, giving thanks for all his many blessing, and seeking Him, and asking Him to help make you a better more thoughtful and giving person. A selfish, unthankful godless life leads to a miserable existence. The old bible verse, “ It is much better to give than receive “ is an undeniable truth and is the key to a happy fulfilling life.

Denzel will never vote like me, but I would vote for him. I feel the same about Tulsi Gabbard. Smart people with integrity, who disagree with me, is preferable to corrupt fools who agree with me enough to tell me what I want to hear, and not much further.

Mr Denzel Washington is a Man to follow by example. He is not only a great actor but is a very intelligent person! I’m blown away by His speech. I think this is the kind of speech that should be written in stone somewhere. It is pure brilliance! He has jumped to the lead of men to follow for life advice. GOD bless Him and You for showing this. He is a role model who is extraordinary by showing by example. If You believe in what He said, put it in to practice! Make Yourself better than You were yesterday. That speech is one for the record books. Pure Brilliance. Wow! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

“Those who do not listen, must feel.” During my youth - early 20’s I did not listen and was in and out of jail. It wasn’t until an old man grabbed me by the ears and set me straight with words of wisdom and belief I could do better. He gave me an opportunity to work and grow strong internally never allowing me to BS him. I was lucky this old man taught me then, because had he not, it is hard to tell where I would be today! Probably dead!
Instead, I’m 58 and a grandfather who teaches his kids the true meaning of life.
My point is, take a moment and mentor someone because it could save their life.

I’d just like to say that you are doing a great job of trying to end racism yourself. You and other UA-cam personalities.
Y’all offer a platform where everyone is welcomed and we can all be here spending time w you.
No matter our race at this point in time 7-7-22 there are 276,000 people that are sub’d to your channel of all races
And we are all here watching your videos and laughing or crying, as per you GOT reaction, with you together as a group.
There’s no arguing or bickering here just people getting together and having a good time.
You’re one of my favorite YT reactors.

I am so tired of labels. Everyone is putting things out there that shouldn't define anyone. You are not a Black-American or an African-American, you are an American. I am not a White - American or a European-American, I too am an American. I don't need to know if you are a gay or straight man, you are a man, and it goes on and on. Choosing people as our representatives in government by color or gender only serves to separate us pick the ones who are the most qualified, who will do the best job, who share our moral code and ethics. Until we stop hyphenating who we are, stop living within our differences instead of understanding our similarities, there will always be prejudice and there will never be equality. This man is to be admired for his vision. Morgan Freeman also tells these same truths. I am always hungry to hear these people's words. Set a long term goal, then every day of your life, set a daily goal that gets you closer to your life goal. Life is not easy for anybody, no mater your gender, color, religion or any other factor. We all feel different, we all feel weird, we all feel that others don't accept us. Learn to embrace who you are because there is not another single person who is like you or as special as you. We were each born with something special, and that is for us to use to create a better world for everyone. Learn you, embrace you, because nobody else has your magic or your special power and nobody will every care as much about you as you care for yourself. Use your magic wisely and know that you are capable of so much more than you believe you are. It is difficult when we learn that we have to make it happen, nobody else can do it for us. "We are the champions of the world." ~Freddie Mercury

I've held Mr. Washington in high regard for his simple, yet profound belief, that real change occurs at the one on one level. We're dominoes, one affecting the next & so on down the line. People screeching at one another is Not that, & the loudest have the least ideas; rather like the Dem party right now, who're afraid of open dialogue because they've nothing to add. Anyone can tell by this reaction that Leo is enjoying listening to it; now listen to Larry Elders' back story about his father. Redemption.
