What an exceptional interpretation of Antonin Dvorak: Symphony No.7 I streamed on tv earlier! No surprise, expecting only the best when an amazing conductor Cristian Macelaru is leading the great WDR Symphony Orchestra. Thank you all. Thank you,WDR Klassik for upload.
If you love Antonín Dvořák´s music, I recommend taking a train from Prague Masarykovo to Nelahozeves-zámek. Dvořák was born right next to that train stop and when you get off the train there, you can see his music. The neat cozy village, the small chapel, the long running railway tracks, the mighty river Vltava in its rocky valley and over it, on the cliff, the Renaissance chateau. I had a vague feeling I´d been there before. Then I remembered: no, I hadn´t, but I know Dvořák´s music... It has sharp contrasts like the contrast between the cozy village and the rocky valley. It moves forward fast like the trains and majestically like the river, it´s neat and humble like the chapel, down-to-earth like the village, dramatic like those rocky cliffs, and level-headed and never overdone, like the small symmetrical Renaissance chateau...
Now also you can go by bus to Vysoká Museum, they do the Opera pieces there at places where he composed Rusalka or other pieces outside Museum. He liked to cpompose there 5 months every year, during summer. They do also programs for kids. The singers were singing also inside the gazebo where the Rusalka was written. It was written in several gazebos and on his walks in nature. Thye do also seminars etc.
Toller Komponist, toller Dirigent, tolles Orchester 😊! Ich schätze es sehr, dass WDR Sinfonie Orchester mehr von ihren Konzerten frei gibt und mehrere Konzerten live auf UA-cam überträgt. Dankeee 🙏! Frohe Feiertage🙏!
Dvorak’s finest symphony and testament to him being one of the finest composers of the Romantic era. Thanks for the upload. Outstanding interpretation. ❤
Dazzlingly committed and technically excellent playing and conducting. Thank you! There is such an enthralling and rapturous and quasi-divine source of joy and nature-integration in Dvorak's soul, whilst she (I'm keen to assert Antonin's very feminine-positive sensibility) pours out in ravishing melodic lines and perfect heart-warming orchestration. Dvorak is definitely one of the decent people, on the side of light and life, and with a perpetually childlike wonder and love for the very fact of our existence. Love andrea
That was truly uplifting and exquisitely beautiful. But more than that, the amazing rapport between conductor and orchestra brought the music to life so vividly, I was carried along with it, note by note, phrase by phrase, from the mysterious beginning to the triumphant resolution at the end. What a wonderful journey with these talented musicians. WunDerbaR indeed! Thank you so, so much.
Happy Easter of love for Renaissance spirit, every Spring season reminds us how life must go on, we have to find the strength to get born again from the own ashes and ...face the fate challenges, music is very helpfull indeed🎉❤🎉

We're very happy that you enjoyed our rendition 🤗
The number one piece I want to perform that I have not yet done. 1885 was a banner year for symphonies. Both this and Brahms 4!
Do you know our version of Brahms 4 with Cristian Măcelaru: ua-cam.com/video/88oULpg1iLY/v-deo.htmlsi=4ye-0ZIqOy0kfvfH ?
Dvorak is a great symphonist that no one talks about. His opera Rusalka has fantastic orchestration as well.

Why do they keep clapping between movements?
