Tell Sheldon to make a water reservoir extender for the picopresso. Something you screw onto the top and then put the lid on top of. Maybe 1:5-1:6 capable 😊
And make that extender use a metal thread and cap. The current plastic cap is a bit soft and not that easy to screw on, compared for example to the metal basket carrier.
Unfortunately I'm still waiting on a replacement part of my Picopresso from wacaco, but I got the gage setup in today. I didn't opt for baskets, but I'm super excited to use the gage.
Audio is great at the beginning despite the noise for you guys on your end. Love the Picopresso content, this build is hilarious. Can't wait to get back to brewing on mine once some grinder replacement parts come in.
My wife actually said this and asked, 'picopresso is suppose to be budget friendly portable espresso gadget. The gauge i understand. but is the overly expensive basket really worth a buy?' I honesly just have no answer for her. And she is a barista and i just drinks coffee she makes.
Well, if you have the money, it just becomes portable setup, without "budget friendly" part. And the reason is simple, Picopresso is too complex to modify, or clone for this sworksdesign guy, so he modifies it the way he can - with basket, gauge, shower screen. If you have the money for this setup, you probably won't be using picopresso alone. It becomes a portable gadget, that you can take with you on vacation, to your relatives and so on, while retaining higher end features that custom accessories can provide.
@@DumahTheSeeker so before i decided to travel with a flair i used the picopresso and i'm from home 320 days a year flying all over the world every week and in the beginning i never wanted to bring something big so i bought this stuff, is it worth the money of the basket.... not at all but it's a nice gadget and you get the feeling i did my best to get the best coffee out of it ;)
ok nerd question for sheldon: wouldn't a radial hole pattern be the most uniform distribution (like the circular HD pin pattern on porcupress)? because of the gauss circle problem in both the hex and spiral patterns the hole distribution is least uniform near the edges, where you seemingly want it to be most uniform. spiral does look cool. in any event i copped for cremina.
Doesn’t have to be this way. When you squeeze too hard coupled with pressure build up, you end up with this mess. A slow yet consistent pump around a second usually mitigates against this. There was no pre-infusion either! 10 + 10 secs. It was probably a to finer grind or tampered to firm.
"ENDGAME PICOPRESSO" is one of your funniest, most compelling video titles yet!
I will eventually pit this against the ENDGAME NOMAD
@@BrianQuan you should do a vid on endgame cremina too (light roast mega clarity edition). i'm over decent pump sounds
Sheldon is such a great man, all his products are totally incredible, the quality is such amazing !
So happy to see Sheldon in the video after purchasing so many products from SWORKSDESIGN ! !
Sheldon is awesome and we'll be making more videos together!

Yes!!!! I hate that I can't pull a long extraction, larger basket means it is simply not enough water in the tank!!! 😢
picopresso now has an offical pressure gauge and I'm so excited
Picopresso was beaten to the punch. Great job.
Replacement basket is bomb for pico. Makes a lot of difference pair with the screen

Collapsible, multi-prong wdt tool that fits in the pico please Sheldon!
Did you ever do a video on how to do the upgrade to the sworksdesign basket?

Not worth the extradoniary price
A good question and for $200 I’m not going to be testing when my Hugh 51mm is delivering outstanding coffee. Also 1/2 ratio 19/38g.

I love my stock picopresso. But of course coffee nerds will always find a way to push it to the next level. 😂
Picopresso stock is already so good that you gotta do ridiculous and fun stuff like this to take it to the next level!
definitely convinced to spend 700€ on picopresso
gadgets to improve my amazing camping espresso machine
Nice Sheldon!! How about a transducer? Just kidding!! Absolutely love it!!

wish the rok got the same attention! would be awesome to see some quality engineered upgrades.
The coffee-aficionado's equivalent of a crack-pipe...
@brianquan how does one attend one of these coffee gatherings? 🤔
If you're in the Bay Area and you participate in the group you can come through!
I’m in Marin and would be happy to participate in the group. How do I reach out / sign up?
@@Trogdorflykid DM me on IG and I can send you an invite to the Discord!

I need the whole kit ! XD
Same! This is such a fun setup.
How much for the pressure gauge?
This is awsome lmfao
Wacaco is actually making their own pressure gauge amd 18g IMS basket, but not as nice as this one for sure
well that is a project they are working on so long, yet still not available ;)
@@Timberjagi It is now
i hate that sworks baskets actually make a difference because now im gonna end up buying one at some point
Brian! Why! Now I need to buy more stuff for my picopresso...
😂
Кошики іноваційні, але 1, та 2 порції не товаришують з собою
Honestly looks pretty messy way to pull a shot 😢 not impressed
Welcome to Picopresso

they actually come with a cover to funnel it out of 1 hole, but some people think you need to go naked to get the best result
So, over extraction and bad taste.
