@@Bted__ever I did swap to the SX-E housing but I didn't do this T51R mod. I dont think I have enough room in the engine bay for a 4in inlet, and the SX-E housing sounds cool anyway. I have a video of it on my channel

@@robertcurnutte24 gotcha bro. I'll subscribe to to IG. Mine made 805whp 727 tq on a Dyno Jet, and 729whp 636tq on a Mustang Dyno. Good deal great #s man. 🍻. My IG is sleepersti15.
Thank you. So yes the car is driven almost everyday. I drive it in stop and go city traffic, cruise it on highway and interstates. I’m only limited to within my city because the car is on e85 and there isn’t many stations outside of Albuquerque. With this turbo kit, Percision 6466 I have a outfront closed deck block, built and ported heads with gsc 272 cams, springs, retainers. Big fuel system, radium surge tank with twin 450 pumps, 2600cc injectors, -8 feed, -6 return fuel lines. Built 07+ sti transmission, dss rear axles, and a Comp twin disc clutch. With this set up I have the car made 870hp and 730tq. I would highly recommend a closed deck block, a fuel system that will be able to feed the motor, and solid motor and transmission mounts. A heavy duty clutch also. But most importantly a good tuner who understands the power plant you are building.
Sounds great! Would be afraid i would get annoyed by it. Its like getting a procharger with straight cut gears and venting the bitch tk atmosphere so it sounds like a Jet
My first honest reaction was it’s the most ricer mod I have ever done. Then I really started to love it. I put the stock cover back on a few months later and hated how quiet it was. The car now has the T51r cover back on and I’ll leave it on there.
The transmission is loud because if the solid mounts, and billet output shaft, and billet shift selector . Other then that, it’s a 07+ sti stock gearbox.
Wow that sounds better than stirring a fresh pot of Mac n cheese.
😂😂
T51r mod, cam lope, and EL header. goalssssss
the EWG too 🥵
Love
The t51r noise
I love how it whistles higher and higher then becomes a dog whistle. Yessir.
This sounds amazing.
I have a 2012 STi with a rotated Borg Warner EFR 7163 and I'm swapping to the SX-E style housing. Really want to get this done.
Did you ever get it done?

Sounds awesome dude! Just picked up a built hawkeye with a similar setup and it sounds super similar, love it!
Hell yeah congrats. Have fun with the new toy.
I just got an do green with that mod. Can’t wait to hear this!
this turbo has an engine
what a sound!! music to my ears
Didn’t know diesel subarus made it to the USA finally 😂
This just straight up sounds so good. Hoping my 9th gen will sound better with the t51r mod I just put in lol
It will definitely sound better.
Had to show this video to my buddy, his response:
Tuner/builder-“so how big of a turbo do you want to run”
Customer-“yes”
Ooohh the noise ❤️❤️

Sounds amazing! How loud is it from outside
At idle not too loud. But from 3800 rpm to 8000 rpm is pretty loud.
You have sequential transmission too? Because i heard when the car slowed down and the wine like a sequential transmission have got my ear.
Just straight cut gears. I have a 1st -4th straight cut gear and rear transfer gears. 5th and 6th are still factory.
I'll be running a T51R 6062 on my STi, did you run it with an intake or without?
I do both. I get more bov noise with the filter on. But racing I run no filter
@@robertcurnutte24 definitely ill get one but the ets kit that i ordered its just the pipings . I wonder where i can get a 4" intake for a 6062?
How do you like the solid mounts?
I need to get new mounts but idk if I want solid ones
I like them a lot. No movement at all and the car is making 870hp and 745tq
@@robertcurnutte24 is that 870 wheel or crank?
Do you have the Dyno graphs? I'd like to see the power curve.

Can you take a video about the turbo and how have you done it
I bought the cover from a friend. He said it’s a Boost Lab T51r mod. The turbo is a Percision 6466 with the T51r mod insert.

I'm glad to hear this, because I was about to ask if you ever grew tired of hearing it after 2 years. It really brings the turbo to life!
Who did the mod?
Boost Lab
Are those straight cuts I hear
The transmission is loud because if the solid mounts, and billet output shaft, and billet shift selector . Other then that, it’s a 07+ sti stock gearbox.
@@robertcurnutte24 interested, how does it differ from a stock trans with the billet upgrades ?
@@Metalozedex it holds the power better. With the power levels of 800+ your most likely going to break a output shaft, or 4th gear.
how’s the spool?
Laggy on the bottom end, but good for daily driving. Once it gets to 5300 rpm the party starts
Is your pt in the stock location or rotated
I have the ETS rotated kit with the 4” front mount and 6466.
Wow
Do you an Instagram for the car?
