New Handlebars and Heated Grips on the CRF300L Rally

Me talking about the install process for Pro Taper CR Mid handlebars (fat bars), and Oxford heated grips. Also a riding test of the heated grips.

As mentioned in the video, I used the "Adventure" version of the Oxford grips which are quite a bit wider than stock. If you want something closer to stock, I've heard the "Sports" version is close.

Just recently found your site. You got a fan. I've had many bikes. Now 79 was going for Yamaha TW200 but will go for the 300L as probably last bike. I live in BC in Canada and where I live it is semi desert but with dense forest roads too not very far away.

A lot of work considering that in this century you have technology for affordable heated gloves. Furthermore you can use these on all your harem of bikes parked up in your Boomer's garage and roll the dice riding in winter.

Yeah, maybe the heated gloves I tried were just poor quality, but I’ve had much better results with the heated grips.

Thanks for the video, I'm in the process of this mod shortly. Would you say there is enough slack in the controls to go 1/2" higher for the Pro Taper high bend bars?

Any change in handlebar vibration with the new bars?

None that I could tell. Everything feels very similar to stock with the handlebars. On the heated grips, the diameter is bigger than the stock grips and that’s the only thing that’s noticeable to me on both of these mods.

Hi again - although I couldn't perceive any vibration change, I've started to wonder if this mod had something to do with the numb hands that I've been getting lately (started happening a while after the switch though). Whether or not it's the new bars fault or not, I just finished some mods to try and address the numb hands thing: ua-cam.com/video/_kdz4sfKiBM/v-deo.html
