@@Toybinger Just bought one online new in box, never opened. Both shoulder joints and waist are broken. The details are amazing though so I'll find a way to fix it. Was a bit relieved to find out a lot are like this.
I have one sealed in box that I bought myself for Christmas, got it for 180 total. However I did open the box so I could display him with all my other mechs. Mine too was in four pieces, the joints are very weak. I bet the pieces that broke were the same as mine. The top shoulders and the torso below the top heavy piece. I believe mine broke from the ties being so tight and probably all the shifting of moving the box around for 20 years. I had him fixed at a local comic book shop where the owner knows how to restore/fix vintage toys.
It is not because of the time, I bought one when the film was released (I was a kid), the arm came broken so I return it to the store, they requested a new one to the supplier and it came broken exactly with the same arm so the shopkeeped told me that he would refund me the money and do not sell that item anymore
I have just found this video…!!! I’m happy to say I’m the proud owner of this figure. It was my centre piece of all my matrix collection, but sadly fell off the display shelf and has never been the same, the design was never good as most of the parts never aligned, was too top heavy and really soft connections….i might take this video on board one day and finally fix it right… great video..👍🏻
Bro, i couldn't agree more, the APUs in the Animatrix we're badass but wished that McFarlane or another company actually made the Animatrix APU. Now that would have been cool to have
Beautiful figure, but yeah, both arms broke off while on display. Cheap-ass plastic wasn’t designed to hold the weight of the arms. If you own one, be prepared for some major repairs over time.
por cosas como estas nunca me gustaria crecer esto esta fantástico a pesar de ser.un juguete seria genial que fuera a control remoto y en verdad pidiera moverse como en la televicion seria genial..
This is one of the worst toys I've ever owned. It is nearly impossible to find one that is not broken. I have one of them in the package and it is still broken. The arms always break. The waist always breaks the hoses always come apart . These toys hit clearance at KB Toy Store for about $5 back in the day
I recently purchased this figure and unfortunately it was broken at the waist joint in the box. I was wondering how you were able to fix/modify the waist on yours and how did you separate the pieces? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Looks like DerMovie uses a Lego piece to create a post or shaft. I wish he show us what the upper top part of the receiving end of the connector looks like.
@@aliasangelaliasFirst thing I tried was putting in a pin and trying to force the two halves together, hoping to maintain the swivel. But I couldn't get it to work and feared damaging it more, so just glued it. Mine actually arrived with both the arms off and the torso detached out of the box lol.
@@illuminoacey So what did you ended up doing? I just purchased this APU yesterday at a swap meet, It is sealed in box and I haven't taken it out yet. I heard so many complain about this figure. Even taking out of the box, the toy breaks immediately. I am rather worry, and seeking knowledge of what sorts of problem I will be encountering. I wish there are tutorial on how to fix this entire figure online just in case mine suffer the same issue.
@@DerMovie1984 I bought one but the pelvis was separated and the two arms also.Did anyone else got one like this, MacFarlane toys company fucking sucks at making toys
One of the coolest exo-armours I've seen in a movie.
Glad to see how you fixed it.
Thank you for the very detailed shots.
Have a wonderful year!!!
Thank you very much. I am happy that you like it. =)
Yes. Looks like a salvaged version of the one from avatar
I remember when my dad got me this . So badass.
I broke it 😢
I had mine sitting in a box for 15 years it somehow managed to be broken
I remember how I broke it, I was re-enacting the battle between the machines and apu’s
For retail it was like $80 now it’s $350-400

@@plorks445 so the problem with it was most likely the quality of the toy
Hopefully NECA will one day make one of these with sturdier parts.

Mine is broken in the same places. Just listed it on ebay in the UK.

I wish they made the animatrix APU's. Those were tight

now that I look at it, the amount of ammunition in the container would not be enough for a very short time

MasterJediDude mine didn’t break off but has partially failed and droops! Still a cool toy tho!
Someone should make a 3d print of this mech I bet it would be stronger than the original model am I right
The detail are off the hook!
Thanx for sharing this bad ass collection!!
Your posts makes me go and watch these movies again!!
Thank you, it's nice to have such an influence. =D
Yeah you do :)
Thank you for posting.
Have a great week!!
Amazing where did you purchase this really cool mech ?
Unfortunately their mechs are very primitive that is the reason Zion fell 5 times!!! I do quite like it’s bulky build though
I have just listed one of these on ebay in the UK.

Que marca es la figura? O como puedo conseguirlo como nombre para comprarlo
Awesome looking figure. Unfortunately it scales smaller than the 1/12 size figures I collect.

I wonder how the solved animating this when the leg design doesnt really work (which is seen at 3:24)
Got it! Had some issues! Glad it wasn’t just me!
I love robots, I use to have one but I lost it but I really ehat one to see it again
This is amazing , where can I buy this figure?
KNUCKLE UP.....FOR ZION!!!!!!!
Super beautiful
Ah yes, i have this figure and when It came in, it was broken but i fixed it but still a badass toy. And how did you cut Mifune out of the APU
I used a slim/fine (bendable) PVC saw blade. It took me quite some time to get him loose.
@@DerMovie1984 hey thank you mate
So cool wish it didn't cost so much
Whoa awesome toy

Hello,where are your videos?
I wonder how do this scale with the new #MovieCableHasbroMarvelLegends
If you’re looking to put him inside it won’t work. He’s way too big for the cockpit. The mifun figure inside looks to be 4” or 5”.
2018 ?? :v
