The ship carried a cargo of Tactical Vehicles and M777 Howitzers which were immediately deployed to three areas considered prone to threats from China.
The presence of these joint forces signals increased military cooperation between the US and Japan in the Indo-Pacific region, amid rising tensions with China over maritime disputes in the South China Sea.
After arriving at Subic Bay, the vehicles and weapons were immediately transported and stationed at three locations considered vulnerable to Chinese threats, namely on the island of Palawan, the island of Cagayan de Oro, and the island of Balabac. - Наука та технологія
