for my own opinion Philippines has the advantage if were talking about man to man combat due to their wide war experience ...
I agree 100% man to man combat Filipino soldiers are hard to beat because of their long experiemce in actual combat with the New People's Army and the muslim separatists in the south. The Philippine Special Forces had won various international awards in shooting competitions and markmanships. In terms of technology and military hardwares at present i think the Philippines is now ahead with Malaysia.

Hi, at the end of the video is a list of ordered equipment for each country. The description of this category states that the list may be incomplete, but until now the Philippines hasn't ordered any submarines yet.
They are interested in purchasing this type of equipment. So far the contenders are: French Scorpene-class, Spanish S Plus-class. South Korean Dosan Ahn Changho-class is an option too. But for now on nothing has been ordered yet.

Also the media is asking on the presscon why there are malaysian military casualty even though the military is fighting only 8 Filipino in a certain area. The malaysian defenser minister said: These sulu fighters from philippines are not ordinary people. They have long combat experieced. They are already expose in real combat and fighting philippine military. They are calm even when the bullets are raining to them. They dont panic in critical situation because they have long combat experience. That is why our malaysian military cannot easily captured or kill this sulu fighters. They can easily think another tactics while in pressure. The malaysian military should be careful in dealing this type of people because they are not ordinary people. That is why it takes time to capture them.

If there is a scandal in the government but the government dont want to talk about it the scandal, suddenly the communist rebel starts attacking on different military bases. With that, the scandals wlll be forgottedn and the news outlet is bombarded by communist rebel attack. You can even see sodier and communist rebel dringking beer or any alcohol together sometimes. Communist Rebel is also a business, corrupt military will give them ammunition and then they will start fighting but its a drama fight. When the ammunition are depleted, they will stop the fight. Then the military will ask the government budget to purchase bombs and ammunition. That is the time they will corrupt the money when the government provide budget. How can you audit how many bombs and ammunition being used in the fight? Is the soldier priority to count ammunition and bombs being used during the fire fight? No, they will just make estimation about the auditing. I now this because i have been in the firefight with soldier because I join my cousin when I was19yrs old. I got very angry to my cousin because he told us that its just going to mountain hotspring. When we arrive near the hotspring at 11am, we are given guns while the speaker talking on the croud before we take our free lunch. AT 6pm suddenly there is firefight and bombs exploding near our cottage. When we go out in our cottage, you can see the bullet that are raining to us. You can see the bullet is like a dotted laser. You can see the bullet in the night because its red. Luckily we survived the military attack and we did not sleep all night. We are just traverssing the thick and itchy jungle in the middle of the night without light or even flashlight.

In the Philippines every soldiers has experience battle, most of the time they get ambushed in the road and those who survive has gain experience, they conduct manhunt operation daily against terrorist and rebels since after cold war, they even annihilated ISIS during marawi siege which mark the history of the Philippines where the bloodiest battle they experience after World War II, bunch of soldier gain experience moreover the Balikatan exercise together with US will surely gain more experience while idk if Malaysian force even has moral to fight since if inexperienced soldier go to war they run to save their life due to lack of moral while an experience soldier will stay and fight even surrounded by enemies, you can watch some marawi siege interview of those survived soldiers that still remain in service has scar and one of the battle hardened soldiers of the Philippines.
