No, the glute max and vastus lateralis do not directly connect. However, the glute max and vastus lateralis do both connect onto the iliotibial band. I have a video on the iliotibial band if you're interested: ua-cam.com/video/BGiVIem-uoA/v-deo.html
@@BodyworksPrime thabks! On diagrams it was hard to tell. Sort of looked like the back part of the vastus lateralis went underneath the gluteus maximus.
@@hollyattwell8636 no problems, do you mean the picture I made where the vastus lateralis is highlighted in green? That is the tensor fasciae latae (TFL) and iliotibial band (ITB) next to it rather than the glute max. The glute max is posterior to the TFL muscle.
@@BodyworksPrime sorry I mean just diagrams in general on google images. The vastus lateralis seems to be divided by the TFL and ITB, with the back part of the vastus lateralis appearing to connect with the gluteus maximus. Thanks for clarifying
Thank you! I have flashcards on my website for all the muscles I have done videos for. They could be helpful for testing your knowledge with. Best of luck with the biomedical sciences course.
انا استفدت شكرا😅
Thank you 🎉
Great video! Does the vastus lateralis connect directly to the gluteus maximus or pass under it? Or are they completely seperate? Thanks
