Colourful concept recreating the charm of a Bedouin camp and with carpets and bolsters you could imagine lounging in desert sand dunes or on the shores of an exotic beach. However, faff and cash so likely to stick with our boring Outwell side panels
The Cali next door with the Thule awning looks far better than that nonsense. It has windows and takes seconds to do. Moral of the story is don’t buy rubbish at festivals/shows.
The problem with the eyelet of the white triangle in minute 10:40 you can avoid, if you put firts the eyelets of all triangles on the tension pole and then the eyelet of the adapter. After that you give again tension on the tension pole and done.
I first saw these on the press release for the new California and loved the concept, after speaking to the guys at Bent @camperjam I just had to buy them. I can’t wait to try them out but did think the same about the poles.
Hi both. When you opened the blue one for the first time was that not the pole bag that fell out? Also if you had put either the stripped or the white on first, the kador provides a weather strip for your first panel. Then the blue one, the zips are all weather protected for the third panel. How you had it the zip between white and stripped had no weather protection and you had a double weather strip on the Kador which isn’t needed. Hope this helps and makes sense guys. We looked at these at CamperJam, loved the concept. They were beautifully made but ultimately we were put off by the price.
Thanks for the vid, guys. Too much hassle putting that stuff up, especially when you want to drive away for a day out. We are thinking tu buy a bus tent (as we call it in Holland) where we can drive away from…
We have Cysgod awning shades on our T6.1 LWV, they're great. Avoid using a wind out awning in strong winds even with tension straps, can cause huge damage if blown onto the campervan. Nevertheless I do like the Bent options, but quite expensive, lovely colours and concept. Thanks for show casiing. The other VDubs set ups close by looked interesting ❤
Hi love your vlogs on kit as you show a great range of different gadgets and handy things for campervans, can I ask is these were a "Paid for Promotion" or did you purchase them from the festival for future use
No, not paid for - we bought these from the seller at CamperJam after having seen them in previous adverts / promotions. First time we’d seen them in real life. Really happy with the versatility given how high our awning is - they look pretty too
Very expensive by the look of it but the Cysgod sides for these size vans require additional struts, so are also pricey at the end of the day. We have suffered with the same issue of the awning basically providing zero shade at times as well and haven't found the ideal solution yet.
I don’t know why you bought the poles. They are designed to connect the system to a van with no kedar rail which you obviously have. On the whole they look an enormous faff and ludicrously expensive.
On first glance, that looks like a mahoosive faf
I agree what a faf. What’s wrong with the one on the van in front of yours ?
Why not just attach in a couple of sides to the awning?
What a total performance putting those things up!!!!

Really nice and well made ! But over £80 each !!!! Flipping heck!!!

That Cali across from you has some cool alloys & stance..

Great vid 👍🏻

Nice but not for me
Can’t do with faff
They look pretty though
that is the definition of a faf.
Not for us. Hillcrest/Fallcrest panels much less hassle to put up.
Wow £400 you could have proper sides for that kinda money.
Very expensive indeed.
Doubt you’ll be bothering with that again! Maybe you could return it saying “not fit for purpose!”
Wot a palava!
A fool and his money are soon parted!
👎 To much of a faff and seem very over priced. The Sven however is looking great!
I tried these complete waste of time and money, I sent them back, don't bother!!!
Over complicated over priced tat
