let's make a QUILTED Minimalist CARDIGAN!

today I want to show you guys how I made a quilted jacket with my Tropical Research minimalist Cardigan pattern :D
Initially, I wanted to upcycle a vintage quilt - but ended up quilting the individual pieces from a linen kaftan that I had handpainted earlier this year.
It turned out so beautifully, I'm totally in love!

I'm having issues with my sleeves. They seem to bunch up a bit no matter what I do to try to flatten them out. Yours look very smooth transitioning from the body. Any ideas?

Sometimes a really good pull to stretch out the area works - or if it‘s really stiff I‘d give it a little snip and handstitch it to clean or all up! ❤️

Good morning Tobias. A question for you. Does pre quilting the fabric make the size smaller?

Yes it‘s possible, especially with thick wadding and lots of quilting!
