Allright, My brother walked away from the Lord for 12 years. He did almost everything that God forbid. He turned his back to God. My parents never turned their back on him. They kept loving him and praying for him and he is always welcome. A year ago he called us in tears. The Lord found him. He changed completely. Pray. Love.
Yup, it’s sad to see, because people see others that go to church and think automatically that they’re Christian’s, and then when those people get out of church on Sunday and live like the world the rest of the week, it paints a very bad picture of the church.
It's actually heartbreaking to know many people will who believe they are are Christians just because they go to church and be nice will still hear Jesus say, " Depart from me, I never knew you." That should be a motivation for any believer in Christ to truly follow and obey him.

I write songs too but I haven’t had any success. So, I might go to Heaven after the Hell I’ve been in but she’s already had Heaven so why should she have it twice? I have turned my back on God when I was angry or I allowed my desires to take over. But because he has revealed his self to me many times it was impossible not to go back. But it IS a choice. I did not have that loud voice when I was younger. I grew up in a non believer family. And I grew up hateful, angry, sinful, and blind. But just recently I heard God voice and ever since I never looked back and I do the best to keep striving to follow my Lord. ❤️
Be encouraged. I have the same story. I was encouraged, even, to live in sin. But in 2017, the Lord called me to Himself. I haven't looked back. It's the best thing that's EVER happened to me. I'm praying for you.

We have six adult children, and at various times, some were were walking with the Lord and some weren’t. Now five out of six are walking with Him and raising their children to do so. One who has been a prodigal is wavering. Keep praying!
I was an addict and homeless for years and in 2012. I was in a bad tornado accident, The Lord showed me that I'm only alive today because of my mother's prayers. Never underestimate the power of genuine prayers for your children. They will come back if you keep praying
My daughter grewup in the church as well. We are Christians and have been throughout our daughters life. Our daughter went away too. No parents are perfect. This world has a strong pull on young people. She's 42, but I continue to pray. She's in God's hands. Never give up on your children. Don't judge christian parents who have prodigals!

Well said! We too have a daughter that has chosen to walk in a sinful lifestyle as an adult! It breaks our hearts. We raised her in a Christian home but there is no way to control the choices they make. Keep praying and trusting the Lord to bring her home!

I left the Lord to take my own path and wandered far away... many years later I came humbly home and asked if Jesus might take me back🥺? He welcomed me back with open arms🤗. I told him I was sorry I went astray and so thankful for his forgiveness😭, knowing that he was with me once more... Suddenly I realised he had never left me😇, he was always close by and just waiting for me to turn my face back to him. Thank you for your patience and your many blessings my Lord, my God😔.

My daughter once confessed to believe in Jesus, she took from the bread and took the wine in Sunday service. Now, several years later all is different now. She is a worldly woman and avoids to talk about God with us her parents. Please pray for Miriam!

i had addiction for 36 years starting around 12 and i been clean for almost 4 or 5 years. I became born again christian about 4 years ago. My dad is a pastors son. Raised very strict and harsh even sometimes. He turned away from the lord many decades ago. He started drinking from a very young age and is still living in that sin and many more. As parents God has called us to love our children unconditionally, as God is our heavenly father and he forgave and continues to forgive us as His children when we sin and fall short of His glory. Being a pastor kid does not exempt the of the temptations of the world. Even pastors will be judged by their words, he will not win his daughter over by throwing the bible at her and calling her names and condeming her. As a father he is called to show her (Katy) love.

Okay this made me cry. I am suddenly so open to Jesus, when I denounced religion after going to a strict catholic school that didn’t let us ask questions. But now I think I understand….I suffer from schizophrenia, am terrified of leaving my room…..My soul has been decaying for so long and I just want to get better. I don’t want to drink anymore. I made an appointment to seek help medically but I need much more than that. I think I need spiritual help.
The Lord Jesus will HEAL you. He gave me 3 separate healings. He healed My spine,, Migraine headaches, And extreme rage. God is no Respector of persons. What he did for me? He will do for you. Yesterday I had a dream where a voice said that I wasn’t saved. In the dream I was running around in panic not knowing what to do and the voice said time is running out. When I woke up I was praying and crying. It is true, I recently experienced this. Thank God I'm back. I was so focused on the things out there other than Christ, and little by little it became difficult to hear God's voice to the extent that even praying became a problem. I felt guilty saying even a simple thank you for life whenever I remembered I was to pray in the morning. Many, almost a year, after this started, I physically and emotionally broke down because I felt like I drifted so far away God would never ever want someone like me back. But thankfully he heard my prayers and I hear his voice again, its easier to resist temptations and my prayers now come from the bossom of my heart. I love Jesus. 💓😊

That lady needs to understand the concept that there are soundly raised youth who depart from their upbringing once they have a taste of adult life. Since she is so convinced Mr. Hudson can control every move her daughter makes, her son is not controlled by her, now is he? And truth of the matter, my parents did not raise me to have a child outside wedlock, but I still had one. My parents were married when they had my brother and I, so they did show by example.

I don't believe in those conspiracy theories. Hollywood is a business, that's why there's corruption and why they disapprove of Christianity. Not all hope is lost for celebs.
I teared up watching this. I remember when I became an agnostic as a teenager and rebelled against my Christian upbringing. I would curse and say the f word a lot too, but I could not say blasphemy the way even my friends had done. That, along with her honest confession that she wishes she could go back to being Katherine Hudson, are very good signs. I pray that the LORD gives her strength to break free from the industry. I sincerely want to call her my sister in Christ someday. I pray she will truly return to Jesus Christ.

At 58 by his infinite Grace and mercy I am walking with him again in such deep communion, I never experienced the first time. I can relate. My wife and I have a daughter who grew up in a Christian home. But she rebelled against God in her late teens. We pray that she come back to God but don't blame the parents of a rebellious child.
I think in katie's instance u can blame her father because he looks flamboyant and flashy, imo no preacher is supposed to be that way, in fact I think JESUS confronted the spiritual leaders in that time many times for them worrying about themselves instead of the broken and needy people.

I hope the Holy Spirit forgive me for I failed him. I long for His love and I long for hearing his voice again. Once I asked Him to stop talking to me because no one believed me and His requests were too bold for me to tell other people, even people with higher authority. Exact same situation with myself & my son & daughter. Same. Pray for one another that we may be healed the book of James shares. Called of God to teach others & why marriages can fail. Some spouses are weaker than the other one. Once we are taught how to protect & nuture the weaker one, things change for the better. And that we can learn to guard our fams from these assaults.

This is my story too! I mean I was never famous, but I grew up in the faith and even when I turned from it for years and years i ALWAYS knew it was all true. I always felt God was near but kept resisting. I refused to use God's name in vain and I kept getting pulled back to seek out a new church whenever i had strayed for a time. But wow, it's such a slippery slope. I got pulled into some really dangerous stuff in my 30's and kept making excuses for it yet still claiming Jesus. I can tell you, the ONLY reason I came running back to my Daddy was when I was struck down with Lyme Disease which turned into multiple chronic illnesses/diagnoses. This is what brought me to my knees in full repentance. It's been 9 years now and I've been getting sicker and sicker every year. I don't feel like it's a punishment per se, but God used it as a wake up call to me. And as miserable as this is, and i pray every day for healing, I would still rather be sick and with my Father than well and lost forever.

Thank you for this. I also turned away and the two random seizures I had in the Army (I have been out for awhile now) have increased dramatically and really changed my life. I was in medical school and had to withdraw because they have affected my memory. I never even had to study before, that’s how good my memory was. Now, I can’t remember something from the other day or who someone is. When the memory loss started I sat and cried because it scared me so much. That was 6yrs ago so I was only 33yrs old. I was beginning to think it was to get my attention too. I deployed to Iraq after the 2 seizures in the Army and never once felt one coming on while deployed or anything. I read my Bible everyday and attended church and prayed and felt his protection while deployed. I’d love to have that feeling, that connection, back.

The same son Jesus died for and wants him to return to Him. Sadly I think we all think that. Myself included. Its very arrogance and insulting to think this way towards God abd we know it and so does he. Messing up in sin unintentionally is one thing. Deliberately choosing it over and over again is another. You guys summed it up brilliantly. When we are young and innocent it has a fresh innocent and holy impact on us with reverence and obedience. The sin and carnality in this world over time conforms us to its ways the older we get despite even trying to pray and push against it. I am double minded at I know it and I hate it. Exactly! My friend that passed would tell me how her son that was raised in church had strayed away. She had kept hope that like scripture said raise them in the Lord's word and they would come back or something like that. She never lost hope in her son and years later returned to his faith and lives a better life. Before my friend passed she got to see that and rejoice in it.

i believed that when i first came to Christ, but my family, my church all told me no. get a job or we wont help you. serve mankind or no help. i remember asking my church elder if church could help pay to send daughter to bible camp and was denied. did i get her there? yes by not buying food for my family for a month. seems to me putting Jesus in the front will just lead to you being poor, starving, and probably homeless and jobless. lovely world we live in eh?

It isn't always easy or fun but the Bible SAYS we are going to face trials. I believe finally that I am right where God wants me to be. What we WANT here on earth is NOTHING like what we will HAVE in Paradise. No matter what you are going thru, God is right there with you. Reach for Him constantly. He is there. I've been a Katy Perry for over 10 years and I would hear so many other Christians quickly condemn her because she "sold her soul to the devil" so often that I would think what's the point of praying for her. Then, I started paying attention to the things she says and does and said to myself "God's going to save this one" and I have been praying for her ever since.

I’ve just prayed for Alexis. I fell away from God for 20 years and my family and friends never stopped praying for me. I came back to the Lord in March 2022. I am so humbled and thankful. His Spirit is a fire inside me and I cannot stop talking to Him, or about Him. Praise the Lord!

I love your talk especially the example of our Spiritual ears. Some years back I had an accident which left me lying on the pavement with a truck rolling backwards towards me. I heard a loud voice tell me to roll over immediately. Hurting so bad I was crying I forced myself to roll over as fast as I could. Just as I moved my body on its side the truck ( without its driver) rolled close enough to me I felt it brush up against my clothing. It came right beside my feet and rolled past my legs , hip and torso brushing up against my shoulder and right past my head. The whole time I was in prayer asking my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to protect me and spare me from being run over. I had a concussion, broke off the very thin tips of my front teeth , had sprang wrist from trying to catch myself , chipped nails and scratched up nails and severe road rash on both my knees. But you know what , I was spared ! I was able to get up off that pavement and make it to the truck where my five year old grandson was loudly praying for his Nana . God the eternal Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ both hear and answer our prayers. He answered mine and my little grandsons prayers that day in a split second for that was all the time I had. I don't always hear the Holy Spirit speaking to me but I did that day and I thank my Heavenly Father for that and all His blessings every day .
I believe that since becoming a mother Katie has thought a lot about her up bringing. The greatest gift my parents EVER gave me was the teachings of Jesus Christ and how to live by his word. The world we live in is full of temptation and evil. People need to help, support and pray for one another. God bless Katie and her family.

I personally don’t like how that person was yelling at Katy’s dad for the decisions SHE herself is making/things she is doing and saying (and also that the press sometimes twists as well-it happens). This video broke my heart Joe. My wife and I professed faith at the same time but she has fallen away completely and left me. We’re likely to be divorced soon. Before she left I spent much time pleading and begging her and warning her of the great spiritual danger she was in, being that she no longer was going to have any Christian influences, and that she would be surrounded by darkness where she was going to live. I showed her in the scriptures all of the warnings about willful rejection and I cried so much at that knocking analogy you used sir. I’m filled with sorrow at the thought of my beloved wife paying for her sins. I know and believe that God can still save her and that as long as she has breath, it’s a mercy of God and opportunity to repent. Praise the Lord for his long suffering patience and love. I did the opposite thing...marrying a non-believer when I am a Christian. Was hoping I could "convert" her into my beliefs but it never happened. Now we are divorced and she is with a non-Christian man. I still pray for them but I wasted many years in misery by marrying someone I knew deep down God didn't want me to marry, because I was lonely. I hope whoever reads this will learn a lesson from my experience.
Pray for your wife, pray over her and if you can touch her while praying for her to help push the darkness out. Pray for GODS Love to fill her heart and push back all darkness on her behalf. Plead the Blood of Jesus over her to protect her Spiritually. The fight is not against flesh and blood. I've been in a dark place for a while. I started questioning my faith. I woke up from a deep sleep the other night God said "I never knew you" I woke up crying and praying. No more questioning. I don't ever want to feel that feeling ever again. He was showing me the sign I was so hatefully asking for. Forgive me Lord. I am a child of Christ. I am washed in the blood. Jesus is my savior. I will pray for your faith to be strengthened. A good place to go when you feel doubtful is the word of God, especially if it is the red letter version where you can read the words of Christ and be comforted in them. Blessings.
This made me think of a story the Pastor told us one Sunday ... He went to a funeral of a woman he knew and noticed she had a rosary or something similar in her hand. The Lord spoke to him and said, "She had me in her hand but not in her heart". At least having his name on her wrist will be a constant reminder to her as to where she came from. As long as there is breath in us, there is hope!
That doesn't sound like something that's very appropriate to say at funeral. And I would question that pastors professionalism. Even if it's true, that's not how you comfort. Grieving loved ones and this kind of stuff is what turns people away from Christ
GOD'S voice has never been loud for me, in fact I've only heard a whisper twice n the first time was when he showed me who I was which changed my heart for GOD and CHRIST and I have never turned my heart on them since but I have never heard them get louder n I have begged GOD many times to show me what he wants of me n nothing. I don't let that change my heart tho because the alternative definitely isn't desirable.
I think, Katy’s dad responded well. I’m a dad of two. My children used to follow Jesus. Unfortunately, now they are more focused on the world. Ever since I was saved the hardest thing for me is seeing others who are not. It breaks my heart.
i had addiction for 36 years starting around 12 and i been clean for almost 4 or 5 years. I became born again christian about 4 years ago. It has healed my marriage to my wife, try to be more humble without anger toward people.. work in progress.. thank you lord jesus.. i pray you continue you help me and others.. in jesus name amen..

My dad is a pastors son. Raised very strict and harsh even sometimes. He turned away from the lord many decades ago. He started drinking from a very young age and is still living in that sin and many more. Please pray for my dad to find his true farther, his perfect loving farther in God.🙏🏻

As parents God has called us to love our children unconditionally, as God is our heavenly father and he forgave and continues to forgive us as His children when we sin and fall short of His glory. Okay this made me cry. I am suddenly so open to Jesus, when I denounced religion after going to a strict catholic school that didn’t let us ask questions. But now I think I understand….I suffer from schizophrenia, am terrified of leaving my room…..My soul has been decaying for so long and I just want to get better. I don’t want to drink anymore. I made an appointment to seek help medically but I need much more than that. I think I need spiritual help.
Jesus is always there anytime you want to talk to him. Re-restablish that connection.

Rebuke schizophrenia and Confess, you have a sound mind. Read your Bible daily and pray. He will meet you right where you're at. God is the same yesterday today and forever. He healed In the New Testament and he's still healing people today.

Yesterday I had a dream where a voice said that I wasn’t saved. In the dream I was running around in panic not knowing what to do and the voice said time is running out. When I woke up I was praying and crying.

It is true, I recently experienced this. Thank God I'm back. I was so focused on the things out there other than Christ, and little by little it became difficult to hear God's voice to the extent that even praying became a problem. I felt guilty saying even a simple thank you for life whenever I remembered I was to pray in the morning. Many, almost a year, after this started, I physically and emotionally broke down because I felt like I drifted so far away God would never ever want someone like me back. But thankfully he heard my prayers and I hear his voice again, its easier to resist temptations and my prayers now come from the bossom of my heart. I love Jesus. 💓😊

I teared up watching this. I remember when I became an agnostic as a teenager and rebelled against my Christian upbringing. I would curse and say the f word a lot too, but I could not say blasphemy the way even my friends had done.
That, along with her honest confession that she wishes she could go back to being Katherine Hudson, are very good signs. I pray that the LORD gives her strength to break free from the industry. I sincerely want to call her my sister in Christ someday. I pray she will truly return to Jesus Christ.

I can relate. My wife and I have a daughter who grew up in a Christian home. But she rebelled against God in her late teens. We pray that she come back to God but don't blame the parents of a rebellious child.

I stopped hearing Gods voice for a long time. But, the Holy Spirit came back around for me, and I heard the call loud and clear. It was creeping up on me, and Joe Kirby’s videos popped up in my feed. Joe’s message of the Gospel locked it in for me! Praise Jesus!
I hope the Holy Spirit forgive me for I failed him. I long for His love and I long for hearing his voice again.
Once I asked Him to stop talking to me because no one believed me and His requests were too bold for me to tell other people, even people with higher authority.

This is my story too! I mean I was never famous, but I grew up in the faith and even when I turned from it for years and years i ALWAYS knew it was all true. I always felt God was near but kept resisting. I refused to use God's name in vain and I kept getting pulled back to seek out a new church whenever i had strayed for a time. But wow, it's such a slippery slope. I got pulled into some really dangerous stuff in my 30's and kept making excuses for it yet still claiming Jesus. I can tell you, the ONLY reason I came running back to my Daddy was when I was struck down with Lyme Disease which turned into multiple chronic illnesses/diagnoses. This is what brought me to my knees in full repentance. It's been 9 years now and I've been getting sicker and sicker every year. I don't feel like it's a punishment per se, but God used it as a wake up call to me. And as miserable as this is, and i pray every day for healing, I would still rather be sick and with my Father than well and lost forever.

Thank you for this. I also turned away and the two random seizures I had in the Army (I have been out for awhile now) have increased dramatically and really changed my life. I was in medical school and had to withdraw because they have affected my memory. I never even had to study before, that’s how good my memory was. Now, I can’t remember something from the other day or who someone is. When the memory loss started I sat and cried because it scared me so much. That was 6yrs ago so I was only 33yrs old. I was beginning to think it was to get my attention too. I deployed to Iraq after the 2 seizures in the Army and never once felt one coming on while deployed or anything. I read my Bible everyday and attended church and prayed and felt his protection while deployed. I’d love to have that feeling, that connection, back.

Sadly I think we all think that. Myself included. Its very arrogance and insulting to think this way towards God abd we know it and so does he. Messing up in sin unintentionally is one thing. Deliberately choosing it over and over again is another. You guys summed it up brilliantly. When we are young and innocent it has a fresh innocent and holy impact on us with reverence and obedience. The sin and carnality in this world over time conforms us to its ways the older we get despite even trying to pray and push against it. I am double minded at I know it and I hate it. Exactly! My friend that passed would tell me how her son that was raised in church had strayed away. She had kept hope that like scripture said raise them in the Lord's word and they would come back or something like that. She never lost hope in her son and years later returned to his faith and lives a better life. Before my friend passed she got to see that and rejoice in it.
That's why we as Christians need to pray for her because one day it may he too late. Let's not fail her, keep the faith and intercede for her

I am poor. Unemployed and disabled. I pitied myself for a long time and some days still do. Now I live my life according to the Bible. It isn't always easy or fun but the Bible SAYS we are going to face trials. I believe finally that I am right where God wants me to be. What we WANT here on earth is NOTHING like what we will HAVE in Paradise. No matter what you are going thru, God is right there with you. Reach for Him constantly. He is there. He was, is and forever will be our savior. No matter what the world tempts us with. We are IN the world but not OF it. 🙂

Then, I started paying attention to the things she says and does and said to myself "God's going to save this one" and I have been praying for her ever since.

I love your talk especially the example of our Spiritual ears.
Some years back I had an accident which left me lying on the pavement with a truck rolling backwards towards me. I heard a loud voice tell me to roll over immediately. Hurting so bad I was crying I forced myself to roll over as fast as I could. Just as I moved my body on its side the truck ( without its driver) rolled close enough to me I felt it brush up against my clothing. It came right beside my feet and rolled past my legs , hip and torso brushing up against my shoulder and right past my head. The whole time I was in prayer asking my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to protect me and spare me from being run over. I had a concussion, broke off the very thin tips of my front teeth , had sprang wrist from trying to catch myself , chipped nails and scratched up nails and severe road rash on both my knees. But you know what , I was spared ! I was able to get up off that pavement and make it to the truck where my five year old grandson was loudly praying for his Nana . God the eternal Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ both hear and answer our prayers. He answered mine and my little grandsons prayers that day in a split second for that was all the time I had.
I don't always hear the Holy Spirit speaking to me but I did that day and I thank my Heavenly Father for that and all His blessings every day .
I believe that since becoming a mother Katie has thought a lot about her up bringing. The greatest gift my parents EVER gave me was the teachings of Jesus Christ and how to live by his word. The world we live in is full of temptation and evil. People need to help, support and pray for one another. God bless Katie and her family.

As a former Agnostic, I’m aware of hypocrisy. I’m blessed with that. Originally it was a curse to me to stick out more than I already did. My story gruesome ugly black tarred and stained. This video broke my heart Joe. My wife and I professed faith at the same time but she has fallen away completely and left me. We’re likely to be divorced soon. Before she left I spent much time pleading and begging her and warning her of the great spiritual danger she was in, being that she no longer was going to have any Christian influences, and that she would be surrounded by darkness where she was going to live. I showed her in the scriptures all of the warnings about willful rejection and I cried so much at that knocking analogy you used sir. I’m filled with sorrow at the thought of my beloved wife paying for her sins. I know and believe that God can still save her and that as long as she has breath, it’s a mercy of God and opportunity to repent. Praise the Lord for his long suffering patience and love. Thank you for this video Joe, even though it made me cry, It makes me worship God and reminds me to keep praying for her.

I did the opposite thing...marrying a non-believer when I am a Christian. Was hoping I could "convert" her into my beliefs but it never happened. Now we are divorced and she is with a non-Christian man. I still pray for them but I wasted many years in misery by marrying someone I knew deep down God didn't want me to marry, because I was lonely. I hope whoever reads this will learn a lesson from my experience.
Pray for your wife, pray over her and if you can touch her while praying for her to help push the darkness out. Pray for GODS Love to fill her heart and push back all darkness on her behalf. Plead the Blood of Jesus over her to protect her Spiritually. The fight is not against flesh and blood. I know you know and I pray that she seeks GOD, surrenders to HIM and gets on her righteous path and stays there in Jesus' Name Amen and Amen.

I've been in a dark place for a while. I started questioning my faith. I woke up from a deep sleep the other night God said "I never knew you" I woke up crying and praying. No more questioning. I don't ever want to feel that feeling ever again. He was showing me the sign I was so hatefully asking for. Forgive me Lord. I am a child of Christ. I am washed in the blood. Jesus is my savior. Amen.
I will pray for your faith to be strengthened. A good place to go when you feel doubtful is the word of God, especially if it is the red letter version where you can read the words of Christ and be comforted in them. Blessings.

This made me think of a story the Pastor told us one Sunday ...
He went to a funeral of a woman he knew and noticed she had a rosary or something similar in her hand. The Lord spoke to him and said, "She had me in her hand but not in her heart".
At least having his name on her wrist will be a constant reminder to her as to where she came from.

His voice was once loud when I was saved in 2005, then I fell in to sin, and now as time goes by His voice is getting louder again.

I think, Katy’s dad responded well. I’m a dad of two. My children used to follow Jesus. Unfortunately, now they are more focused on the world. As a dad, I keep loving them and lifting them up to the good Lord in prayer. In regards to the woman who challenged Katy’s dad…..We are called to love. I certainly did not hear love in her voice or her message to Katy’s dad.
