The crazy thing is I remember in the demo disc of the first game Sheila had that small car and the demo had another car that looked very similar it was white with a red sun looking design on the front hood and I thought I could use that car when I got the game but it wasn't in the game at all I was pissed.
Always loved the Aircraft Graveyard map for a specific reason: In two spots in the map, there are some hidden weapons and power ups that you can get to behind two billboards. I'm guessing whoever's running the airfield don't like you going their apparently, so they send a bomber to chase you down. Or you can make your way into the center area and let the bomber chase you from there. And since it doesn't go away until it passes over you, guess what I would do for about an hour? Yep, I'd let it chase me all over the place while listening to track 7, all while seeing if I can get it to drop it's infinite payload on to some unlucky enemies who happen to be in my path. It was glorious. XD
I don't remember if that's the case in V8, but in V8 Second Offense there are no brown or green crates that they can detect and pick up in Aircraft Graveyard, so you end up fighting enemies that don't know how to acquire specials
When I was a little kid playing these games I always like the big stages because I COULD run away haha. I hated Oil Fields for the same reason that you like it. Same in TM, I always liked the stages where I could escape and hide out. I was probably way too young to play these games because I remember being legitimately terrified whenever I encountered another vehicle haha.
This is a great map tear list and It's kind of make sense the way you put higher and lower some maps. For me louisiana is the worst map in the two v8 games, collect the items with the coyotes there is too hard, it's dark you can't see well, 80% of the map is just water that I didn't like. But for me v8 maps are better than the 2nd offense ones.
For me, the Louisiana Bayou stage is the worst. Too much time is spent dealing with raising the water -- you can't actually hold your car in one spot and when the bell dings, you need to hurry up and find a propellor. If you start off with a propellor, you need to get under the bridge before the water raises. Then you're racing all around trying to find black suitcases on a dark background, while avoiding enemies and the crocodile, AND not going TOO fast because then you'll flip your car.
duuuude i played this as a kid a lot with my cousins and my brain remembers this as twisted metal i remember these levels! i’ve been trying to figure out what game i was remembering!
I love Vigilante 8 and Second Offense but I especially loved Launch Site, Casino City, Hoover Dam and a few others, however when I played Launch Site I always fought on land and like every other map destroyed all of the buildings :D
As a gamer who still has the old consoles (N64, Playstation 2) I still play 2nd Offense... Say, I would like to see a tier list of the characters endings
Oh yeah. As a kid, the Ghastly Bayou scared me. I hated playing on it, and then I discovered the bridges and the flooding that could be done. I just got V8 for the N64 recently (after two decades) so I'm going to try and enjoy everything I couldn't as a kid. Unfortunately it's in French, and they can't do anything right when it comes to voice dubbing, so I don't get the bombastic 'BASS QUAKE!' with Torque's special. Also, looking at your vids, it seems that there's maps from V8 that are playable in 2nd Offense. Is that a mod or just for the PS1?
I actually been to that military base In Florida That's where they launch rockets to space And that's where they do space X And yes it looks kind of similar to the one in the video game The only difference that the real life one has more launch pads And there is a giant roll of gas tanks
Nuclear Plant and Casino City are the stages that i would choose considering the two games saparately. and Launch Site and Sand Factory as the worst stages I don't like Oil Fields too much because it's very small and after a while the AI stops trying to destroy you to go after the fucking power-ups over the mounds, I mean, I know the Vigilante 8's AI is hungry for power-ups but man, in that stage its really the only thing that matters for them until the battle is over...
the thing thats lame about the V82nd offense maps is all the unavoidable unkillable hazards, police car, sharks, oil rig fires, crocodiles. Yeah those just made the maps more annoying to play, no one likes unkillable stuff
To me, the best map is the military airport (the graveyard) (the one from v81). This map really have a lot of secrets and fun stuff to do. U dont even really to kill anyone on this i u use the scenario to do yr work. The worst is the Valley Farms. I really guess this map dont have enough itens to keep a battle going. The map is just a amount of mountains and these fucking canals.
Also forgot to mention that the Coyote questline forces you to go out onto the water for Objective A, fuck that too.
Choose an accent, Jesus Christ. Are you American or Australian? It’s distracting asf. Just choose one. I hate people that sound like that.
When I was a kid about 80% of my playtime was spent on Arizona messing around with the ant lmao

Yeah I talk about it in the 40 facts video, she was designed to be a daredevil type but was redesigned.
Best content in the whole v8 community as always

Remember as a kid I thought I destroyed one of the bombers in the air by shooting it with H3 laser, but I think it just despawned. Lol
I remember there is a secret hiding spot in the wrecked planes. Was always fun to hide in there
@@Smackindaface But the bombers always spawn in tho...

Cute :3

Yeah didn't care for that level either, too much water.
Funny - Florida and Valley Farms were some of my favourite stages as a kid. I always liked racing around them.
I loved Valley Farms cuz of the wind Turbines & it's big.
I always liked the old west town, the ski resort, and the Las Vegas stages.
Oh dude I loved the Ski Resort!
I thought the way your car gets taken up or down and get specials was genius.
Vigilante 8 is my favorite game from when I was a kid.
oh I did not know that env in fallout was pointing out to the same one in v8 :O
Awesome video, great content, great tier list, great everything.
This was my favorite game is a kid.
Classic.
This was such a joy to watch!

V8 had some of the best level design of the 90's... Maybe THE best!
You didnt mention the secret in the circle in canyonlands utah
The Pennsylvania stage reminds me of the Macbeth level from Starfox 64. “No! Hit the brakes!…I can’t…STOP IT!” 💥
Good stuff!
duuuude i played this as a kid a lot with my cousins and my brain remembers this as twisted metal i remember these levels! i’ve been trying to figure out what game i was remembering!
How do you play V8 map on 2nd Offense?
For PSX: Pause the game & insert the original V8 disc, it will say that the lvls r loaded. Put the 2nd Offense disc back in & go back to main menu.
I love Vigilante 8 and Second Offense but I especially loved Launch Site, Casino City, Hoover Dam and a few others, however when I played Launch Site I always fought on land and like every other map destroyed all of the buildings :D
Well of course you fought on land, the water physics fucking sucked.
As a gamer who still has the old consoles (N64, Playstation 2) I still play 2nd Offense...
Say, I would like to see a tier list of the characters endings
Well that ones obvious, Padre wins hands down.
hell yeah
7:03 ¡KIRBY!!!!!.
Wow... Jamás creí que vería este juego en un vídeo de 2022
It's got a big following! 😊
Do you have the source to the general layout of the maps in the video?
The 2nd offense ones I got from Project V8. The ones for the first game I got from Chassey Blues Website.
Haha the only guy that can call me a fucker and me not mind. Great video

Lol in Louisiana i used to let the gators hit me so i could get the items that were higher up...i didn't know you could raise the whole bridge XD
I actually been to that military base In Florida That's where they launch rockets to space And that's where they do space X And yes it looks kind of similar to the one in the video game The only difference that the real life one has more launch pads And there is a giant roll of gas tanks
I never knew that you can play old map over a sequel, how do you do that?
In PS1 u have to put in the original V8 to unlock the lvls...
I love oil filed and graveyard after it
Nuclear Plant and Casino City are the stages that i would choose considering the two games saparately.
and Launch Site and Sand Factory as the worst stages

Very True, especially Sid that MFer! Lol. The Nuclear Plant is my fav from 2nd Offense, best environment attack since the Ballistic Missile.
great video
florida... you can just hide somewhere in the island and bot will eventually die by themselves
ANy chance you'll do a review/list for the lesser known Luxoflux game. Star Wars Demolition?
Love it
"forever up"
the thing thats lame about the V82nd offense maps is all the unavoidable unkillable hazards, police car, sharks, oil rig fires, crocodiles.
Yeah those just made the maps more annoying to play, no one likes unkillable stuff
Yeah that's BS, it's not "Fully Destructible" in 2nd Offense...
Honestly feels a little unfair that Florida is last. I get the reasons, but I feel like Louisiana Bayou is a lot more annoying.
Valley Farm and Arizona was my 2 best.. But I think in general 1game have better maps

I seriously spent hours on valley farms when I was a kid.
Me too! Loved using the wind turbines against the A.I.!
"Nothing good comes out of California..."
Facts.
Hey... Love the climate in the state.
Most common word: Flat

louisiana my favorite!! 5:15
Honestly a great game, and a great time to grow up.
