    I have an MK anniversary cab....do you think Happ or IL Joysticks will fit in it? I realize you did one previously but does the housing for the stick have to be cut on one side like the one video?? Just so u know...the bat/ball tops on most joysticks can be tightened easily by putting a screwdriver at the bottom of the shaft....there's literally a minus sign in the bottom for a flathead screwdriver. Hold the screwdriver in place and screw top on as tight as you want and it will not come loose.

    I also recommend changing the restrictor plate on the joysticks. Many fighting game pros prefer square gates but the average person would probably benefit from switching to an octagonal gate which is more general use. These parts are easily sourced and simple to install.

      You want a real upgrade? I just did this to my Galaga Cab that I got over the past weekend.
      You order from Focus Attack a Sanwa Shaft(Various Colors and Size), a Sanwa Pivot, Sanwa Washer, Sanwa Spring holder and Sanwa Actuator a 4lb spring and some Shin-Etsu grease for the Pivot.
      I wanted to use a Sanws Shaft on my Arcade stick so that I could properly mount the top, but it didn't fit with the stock parts on the Arcade 1up Joystick.
      So what I did was I looked at my left over Mayflash joystick that I replaced with Sanwa and used all it's parts and ya. Feels as great as a Sanwa without having to spend $20+ for a joystick and then an adapter.

    I’m still trying to find a riser for my SF2 Yoga Flame Edition, there either sold out or over $100, any ideas? I’d even go for just an all black one and add graphics later . Great video thanks!

      I have mainly moved onto real arcades so I haven’t looked around in a while. I had one still in the box but sold it on Facebook marketplace last year. I’d check there frequently, you might even find a free 1Up that has a riser you can use and sell the cabinet off. I assume they’ll make more eventually too.

    • @KillerArcadeGames
      @KillerArcadeGames  3 роки тому +1

      First of all, what a cool classroom lol. There are a few fixes out there. They seem to involve physically modding the cabinets wiring. I’ve never tried that cabinet so I’m not much help. I’d search UA-cam for a fix, I think you’ll find some fixes that will probably require you to cut and splice wires.

    • @BryanJohnson1969

      @@KillerArcadeGames okay, thank you. I did find one where you splice the wires from the speaker and add a small potentiometer. It looks pretty easy.
      I teach digital art and my students make video games, 2D/3D animation and a lot of other digital art. I want them to experience classic gaming so I have arcade1up Star Wars, Tempest, Bandai Pac-Man, Pong table, Ms Pac-Man, Space Invaders with lit Marquee, Defender just came in and I have a Tron on order. If Dragons Lair comes out, I will definitely buy that too. I am considering Simpson's and Turtles in Time also but I want to see if there's any Black Friday deals. The students who do their work and don't pull out their cell phones during my class get to play the games the last 5 minutes and some Fridays I give them more time. They can also come in before school and I have a digital art club. In fact we are painting a Space Invaders themed mural on the wall outside my classroom, right now, lol

    • @KillerArcadeGames
      @KillerArcadeGames  4 роки тому

      That’s a good question, I think it can be done. You’d connect the button’s wiring to the A1U board then connect the LED light wiring to a USB encoder board. The USB encoder board would simply be used for powering the lights. I’ve never installed any light up buttons so it’s hard to tell you exactly how to do it. You can see the install here: ua-cam.com/video/fJ1CNyCF5gY/v-deo.html You would just plug yours into the Arcade1Up instead of a PC. I don't own one of these games yet, but just waiting until I see a practical way to get what I want first.
