I've never liked more than one character per series but Showtime did their best with Billions. It's like they first found the actors and then wrote the script not viceversa. Each one is a perfect fit for their role. Stunning performances.
I tuned into this show because I wanted to see Damian Lewis after watching him on Homeland. I was hooked after the first episode. I was most impressed because a show can be great without killings and explicit sex.
Exactly right..I found myself thinking I wondering who is going to be the first one to be bumped off but so glad they did not have that as part of their story.

I've been following Paul and Damian since the Illusionist and Band of Brothers. They're great actors and make great shows. This is no exception. The rest if the cast is incredible as well.

Favorite will definitely be Damian Lewis (Bobby Axelrod). The name it self is worthy of recognition. He has a persona which most men can resonate with. Some may probably want to have some of this character at some point in their life especially with regards to negotiations. All the other characters are obviously worthy of recognition in their own rights. I must say though that I admire the wall street characters more in their various acting roles compared to those portrayed playing southern district cast or other federal administrators. In a way, this show gives you a snippet of real life characters in a capitalistic society; those out to achieve their financial success /dreams vs those in government chasing tiles and name recognition and always wanting to bring down the former in the name of justice. I must add that spyros guffiness in the first 2 seasons brought so much humor to the show. Look around your workplace or community and you are more than likely to identify someone mirroring a character from billions. Long Live Billions! Greatest show in modern television.

I watch it and I learn. I have always felt the movies, shows, theater, etc are just a reflection of our society/ real life and how it is played out. Maggie Siff brings her smug condescension to every role she plays. In this show, she is portrayed as a "wise and sexy goddess" who is never wrong and never apologizes. Very superior and very stiff-appearing.
Around season 3-4 the show started to feel like it was slowing down. They made some questionable decisions during these seasons, such as having Chuck and axe working together. That really killed the momentum they had going with their cat and mouse game. Season 5 started off weak as well, and was contemplating giving it up but alas, they finished really strong. I mean this very lightly, because Im very much aware of its seriousness, but the whole pandemic did this show some good. The writers really had time to dig down. Looking forward to season 6
@Nicholas Marrone-Cabrera the producers of the show have said Damien told them in Season 3 he wanted out, but he would give them another season or two, if it hadn’t been for the pandemic he would’ve left in Summer 2020. Seems like they were trying to work through how do they get Axe off the show for two seasons.
