Oran Lyons is a beautiful Elder here in the US! And gratitude is part of all Native cultures here. My tribal ceremonies, Cherokee, are all about gratitude for our foods that grow and the animals we harvest for food. We don't worship Nature as some would believe, but instead we honor it as an equal. We don't believe in dominance over Nature. We live with it and always carry gratitude in our hearts for everything. A very different culture than modern manipulation of crops and Nature. Thank you for your beautiful rambling in the garden! My husband grew up in County Cork on a third generation dairy farm and we visited your part of Ireland years ago. It seems to not be as touched by progress as other parts! Lovely people too! Thank you!
Hi Deborah! In ancient Ireland, the clan system and the Druid system was very similar to the Native American culture. How do you keep ticks and fleas off your dogs?
My husband pulls off any ticks and they don't seem to have fleas, they never seem to be scratchy. We bath them maybe three or four times a year but they get in the sea fairly often.
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden I was wondering how you keep the ticks and chiggers off of you. I live in an area with a ton of them. And I've been trying to figure out how to be outside without becoming full of them.

I think you mean Mullein? There are two long stems just outside the house? The leaves are large and soft. I did a video about Mullein about a month ago - check if it is the same plant. The dogs and cats are great companions and funny to watch sometimes😀
