Who owns a Transition Spur? If so, how long have you had it and how has it been? If not, who’s interested in one?! Looking forward to some fun adventures on mine
thanks for the comment! Yeah, agreed, it is a looker and yes it does give it a nice clean look when the top tube transitions nicely to the seat tube. I’ve had some kind of goofy looking bikes over the years so it’s nice to have something clean and more simple! Take care
Hello from Germany! Just thinking about buying a _SPUR_ here in Germany online: There is the one in _deep sea green_ from 2021 I think for € 4.139 in my size M and the newer 2022 in _aqua_ for €3.999 both with the SRAM GX drivetrain. Hard decision, sadly not with UDH. Generally hard to find _TRANSITION_ bikes over here in Germany. Thanks for your details on the SPUR!
Exactly this _TRANSITION Spur_ is on sale here in Germany and I'm thinking buying it more and more whereas I wanted a _SRAM Transmission_ capable bike or frame respectively but the _SPUR_ is offered for just € 4.199 with a mechanical GX by SRAM. Hard to decide... ;-))
Oh nice! Yeah that was the debate I had as well as I probably mentioned in the video. For me, yes I would have like to have the option for transmission, but the price difference was over $2k if I remember correctly! Not worth it for me! I decided to just do the older GX AXS shifting to still have wireless, just not UDH transmission. Loved it with that and doubt I would have loved it $2k more to have transmission! Good luck
I have this exact bike. I really like it. Accelerates super fast. I Upgraded the entire drive train to X01 and the wheels. Wish it had UDH but for the sale price it’s hard to pass up.
Thanks for sharing! Awesome you have it. Yes, I noticed on my first 2 rides now that it does accelerate much more quickly than my previous bikes. Good call on the x01. In the next video I'll show what I upgraded. Yeah, UDH would be nice, but yeah couldn't justify the expense just to go UDH. AXS GX works well for me
Unfortunately I just have my medium in shop at the moment. How tall are you? You are welcome to try it out even though too small. JBP! Haven’t been there in so long. Need to get out there again soon
@@LCNismo agreed! Hopefully trails will dry out this week. If you decide to come look at my Spur, just let me know (at least to see the fit and finish since it is too small for you).
Pretty nice, I'd be too eager to ride it, screw the video 😂 I had a streak of freeride and DH full suspension bikes in the last decades, but now some short travel trailbikes are so capable the line is getting blurry, even XC is at it 😂
Ha! I know right, yes finally I've been on a couple rides with it after my upgrades and it is way fun... video coming soon on that. Yes, even short travel bikes can do a lot more than the old freeride and DH bikes of old! These days bikes are pretty incredible compared to what I started out on. Have fun on the trails
5’8” and medium fits me perfectly! Was riding it today and thinking about how much I like the fit on my Spur. 455 reach I think is where I’m at but depends on you
proof that the frame alone is obscenely overpriced. all the bargain comps for a couple hundred more than the bare frame. not an attack on TR, all frames are obscene (with the exception of occasional Propain pricing)..
Yeah, they are pricey. I think sometimes it comes down to just pricing them to move them out of the warehouse which unfortunately I know is costing a lot of brands right now just to store all these bikes that haven’t sold as quickly as they used to… As far as margins and why they price them what they do, I honestly don’t have all those specifics on what it costs to have a factory in Taiwan make a carbon mold for your bike frame. I know it isn’t cheap from what I’ve heard, then you have to buy a good amount to at the end of the day make a profit and give a dealer some if that’s their business model… I wish they could figure out a way to make them less expensive. I had hopes that Guerilla Gravity in Colorado could do it, but they went under unfortunately. We shall see if someone can figure it out in the future
@@BikingRoots i paid $2149 for my Megatrail frame. still have that bike. i got a Tyee frame for $1650 propain goes on full out blow the doors off mode any time they have a new model come out. last big sale was the '23 Tyee full carbon frame for $780. that's not a typo...plus, Remy gives 15% codes a lot

I love how this bike looks. Very clean design and I love bikes where the top tube continues to the back in a straight line.

So you have any large in the shop? I live south of you(far south). JBP trail is my home trail. I want to see one in person

Do you have that up at the shop? I want to come look at it super bad.
Yessir! Come on by!
What's all country?
I guess they preferred that term over “down country” basically meaning it works everywhere. Isn’t cross country or trail

@@marcjohn7416 Yeah, I think the large would be too big for you personally. Yeah I'd go medium. Good luck!
i just got mine today.
Oh no way, congrats! Hope you enjoy it!
You had me at sub 30❤😅
Haha! Good
@BikingRoots im old school xc. Into light and fast. I just built an nos 2017 Sworks Epic frame up. 25.2 lbs. with pedals! Really happy with it.

There ain't no motor on that thing. 😁
Ha! Not this one… possibly coming soon though 😀
Thank you for not getting another “Cheater bike”
