This is completely speculative but it seems to me that both survived abuse and Pearl has trust issues. So Ginger bringing up a moment in time that tied to Pearl’s ultimate vulnerability made Pearl lose trust in Ginger. I’ve had a moment when I betrayed someone’s confidence and I can relate to Ginger. You feel incredibly guilty and can’t do anything to repair that trust when all you want to do is get back to that level of intimacy.
Joey Perez it really is. Rupaul knew Pearl had personal problems in her past, and it was very obvious Pearl wanted to keep it private, but still she confronted her with that fucking childhood photo
There's been many worse seasons than season 7 since, but the way the show treated Pearl is the single biggest low-point in the show's history (that we've seen anyway). Even in the final edit, it's still so obvious that something happened to Pearl and Pearl clearly didn't want to go there and producers didn't give a single shit and pushed and pushed (either via Ru flat out interrogating her or adding a segment where you literally talk to your young self). It's emotional porn TV at its most disgusting.
I completely agree that contestants shouldn't be forced to open up if they aren't comfortable, but I can tell you how incredibly much it means to me, my husband and everyone I know to hear the stories told by these ladies. I cry in every episode because it breaks my heart, opens up my mind and I truly feel it makes an invaluable impact on everyone who hears it. That's what makes Rupaul's Drag Race such an important show in society today: Not the pageantry and the cat fights, but the real life experiences, the determination to succeed and to be who you are.
Well that was intense as fuck! Where did that pearl moment come from? I feel like there's wayyyy more going on there than what has been spoke about. I guess that's their personal t. Props to Ging for being so apologetic tbh
There's a video where queens share their first times and in it Ginger basically shares the story of how she was abused by an older man when she was very young, knowing that I think it's kinda clear why she relates to her, it's heartbreaking
Have always liked Ginger but didn't really know much beyond the show but WOW! The main episode & Look at Huh! are the best I've seen on Hey Qween! Truly the most open, honest & vulnerable guest and I think Johnny & Lady Red did an impeccable job of catching the tone and letting Ginger shine & really talk (we all know Johnny loves to interrupt sometimes, no shade). Love me some Ginger now!
I'm so glad Ginger's segments on Hey Qween have been so well received. Good Ol' Minj Ging is so underrated, and I don't entirely understand why. On her season, Ginger was an exceptional contestant with a wide range of talents, and she brought the drama while still remaining likable. If you don't like a queen who can serve sand art realness with her eye look, then I don't know what to tell you.
More than any previous episode of Hey Qween, the interviewing skills and comfort that Jonny and Lady Red have helped to show the realness of the people who are the performers.
Wow. After knowing Ginger's story where she basically got taken advantage of by an older man & the same thing happened to Pearl & how much love, respect, & sorrow she feels for her because of who she is & how she operates is beautiful & what life & learning is all about. So beautiful.
I love Ginger, haven't always, but in the last couple of years I've grown to really really like her, but this whole Hey Qween/Look at Huh has brought me over the edge and she's so amazing and honest, i simply adore her.
omg, that was probably the most amazing and real episode of Hey Qween E.V.A.H! Ginger was hands down the best interview they have ever done! Bitch was real, honest, funny, engaging and that moment of emotion just shook me to my core! Wow..............just wow!
I love this part of the interview. The emotion, when detailing how Pearl has been affected by so much when young, not understanding how it affects you as you grow up. The realization of what had happened during the show, just all of it. It takes a good person to come back around and try to or actually fix things. One more reason to love you Ginj’.
But also, with Pearl being put on the spot like this, I'm afraid it's going to cause more fans to pick her brain about something she obviously doesn't want to talk about. Not even RPDR could get it out of her during her season.
honestly im not exactly a ginger fan but i must admit, she is a kind person deep down. like even when other girls have something to say about her or throw some shade at her she still has mad love for them in the end.
The other part of this interview had me mad at Ginger but this part made me remember all the reasons I love her! She has a good heart and isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes in
The image of Pearl curling up on Ginger's lap while she plays with her hair is so precious, it really is a shame they cut that. hell it would have made the drama at the end even more intense to have that relationship betrayed like that and the audience knowing about it. Every time I rewatch s7 I regain some respect for Ginger as she did seem genuinely apologetic and tried to make things better right away, while Kennedy wouldn't budge and still seems unapologetic, even to the point of Violet uplifting her. Watching this, it feels so genuine, and it was still shit but it shows her character how she broke down here.
For a bit of T - Ginger's story about Rusty Fawcett is a bit off. She actually got her name because back in the day (in the late 80s) she was a total coke head and her nose was always bleeding from all the snorting. Hence Rusty Fawcet... From someone old enough to remember
Wasn't expecting that emotion. Geez Props to you Ginger for owning up to your mistakes even if it was accidental. My favourite ever look at huh
What did she don
She’s making me cry. Goddamn it Ginger!

Best. Look. At. Huh. Evuh.
Tbh this just made me hate how much they pry into the contestants personal lives, but I'm glad Pearl didn't give in. Ginger is great.
Joey Perez it really is. Rupaul knew Pearl had personal problems in her past, and it was very obvious Pearl wanted to keep it private, but still she confronted her with that fucking childhood photo

I can't get over how good this entire interview has been. ❤️
Well that was intense as fuck! Where did that pearl moment come from? I feel like there's wayyyy more going on there than what has been spoke about. I guess that's their personal t. Props to Ging for being so apologetic tbh
Based on things Pearl said during the season, it sounded like he had been abused as a kid.
There's a video where queens share their first times and in it Ginger basically shares the story of how she was abused by an older man when she was very young, knowing that I think it's kinda clear why she relates to her, it's heartbreaking
@@jeffeastwood15 Pearl released a video on her upbringing and early years. Not for the faint of heart.
Ginger is so extra and I love her for it.
Felix O'Brien 😍😛
Mikey Crunk 😂😂
I am actually sobbing I was not expecting this to be the most emotional look at huh!
the pearl moment was really touching and lovely.
That Pearl moment was so sad ... uwwwh ;(
InfestedJM what is her story
If u mean Pearl's; its unknown. She didnt want it to share with the public what we should all respect :)
and the academy award goes to....
InfestedJM I feel like she was raped in her childhood which is why ginger got so emotional
+AKE That's the impression I got based on things he said during the season.
the Pearl story got me in tears wow
Ginger will you be my best friend??
Poor ginger. Gotta love her
Full love and support for Ginger! She may spill all the tea, but she's honestly the most real of the girls!
Have always liked Ginger but didn't really know much beyond the show but WOW! The main episode & Look at Huh! are the best I've seen on Hey Qween! GINGER IS SUCH A SOFT SWEET PRECIOUS HONEYBUN I WANNA HUG HER
Wow that was so raw, so real. Ginger you are everything: honest, funny, fierce, beautiful, talented. muah
I love the honest apollogy towards Pearl. I love both queens!
2 years later and I'm still wanting a Pearl Hey Qween!
Awww Ginger... ugh got me in tears again 😭😭😭😭😭😭 we love ❤️ u .. I'm sure she forgives u ... Pearl please forgive her ... 😍😍😍😍😍

I would kill to have Pearl do a Hey Queen interview. by far my favorite queen ever from RPDR.
Amorous choices.
Well, guess what Mimi, she did
She did
Now I love ginger
you know, after this episode, i'll never say shit about any queen unless it's proven that she's said/done something really offensive
More than any previous episode of Hey Qween, the interviewing skills and comfort that Jonny and Lady Red have helped to show the realness of the people who are the performers.
Ginger is everything!
A real Queen 👑
I love the apology. So mature and genuine
those drinks got her in the feels
This made me respect Ginger a lot more! 👆🏻
I always respect ginger for her ability to be vulnerable, to own her mistakes and be so open about it all, shes one of my favourite queens
Wow. After knowing Ginger's story where she basically got taken advantage of by an older man & the same thing happened to Pearl & how much love, respect, & sorrow she feels for her because of who she is & how she operates is beautiful & what life & learning is all about. So beautiful.

I'm shooketh. I did not expect this to get emotional. aww the feels, hope her and pearl can reconnect :(
This was the best fucking Hey Queen! in the history of Hey Qween!
Pleeeeeease have Sasha Belle on sometime! If you all aren't watching Sasha Belle's drag race on youtube, you're missing out.

We All love love, tears, honesty, friendship and kindness.
Ginger on this show was a blessing.
I love Ginger and think she's a little drunk here. I appreciate her giving a REAL interview.
Ginger seems so down to earth and so precious! I think she is someone you could probably sit and talk for hours about anything.
Thank you Ginger for pouring your heart out... that must have taken a lot of courage.
Never have I ever expected to cry during look at huh 😭😭😭
BEST Hey Qween/Look at Huh EVAAAA!!!! Tea spilled, shade thrown, tears dropped, fuck-you's given, oh my!
But also, with Pearl being put on the spot like this, I'm afraid it's going to cause more fans to pick her brain about something she obviously doesn't want to talk about. Not even RPDR could get it out of her during her season.

Was not expecting these reactions at all, I hope they're both good and happy.
Ginger has always been one of my favorite queens; she's so real and responsive to her fans!
Ginger is so captivating, she has everything you wish a human and drag queen encompasses, I feel kind of proud of what an awesome human beeing she is.
Omg, this is seriously the best interview ever.

For a bit of T - Ginger's story about Rusty Fawcett is a bit off. She actually got her name because back in the day (in the late 80s) she was a total coke head and her nose was always bleeding from all the snorting. Hence Rusty Fawcet... From someone old enough to remember
+Eddie Crew Who DIDN't do coke in the 80s?
This T is so sad
