You gotta put in that one Janus play in like season 4/5 where they tried to ult into the titan room and got wiped by a Discordia... forgot which teams... also the DW Ares solo or the ulting Ares going through Janus portal, or the Vulcan pre-casting his ult over the mid harpy wall so the soon-to-port Janus gets hit, the Arthur 1v4, the immediate Horus buff then nerf, the immediate Erlang nerf so he couldn't as-easily setup Ra... so many good plays/moments/memories that define Smite
One that I’d personally add was SK/PK’s legendary worlds run, especially the part where they reverse 3/0d the same team TWICE. I remember being there when SK was the lowest rated team in the Leauge, and seeing that live was a joy. Game 3, when ScaryD saves Qvofred, then gets saved by Paul, that will go down in history Also the base race on the first game of the season is a core smite memory, I feel like I can recite everything that happened in that play Aside from that, absolutely great video. Betty smite is a great channel that I watch to get my SPL content when SPL isn’t playing
I would’ve loved to see this be 2 different videos of moments in SPL and then plays in SPL. So many good things were missed here like COG Aquila coming back from 3 phoenixes down to continue their Cinderella run to worlds, Lich being the first international team to get a win at worlds, or Luminosity vs NRG semi finals (my vote for best set of all time) for moments. Not to mentioned some truly legendary plays like Wowys 4v1 Titan defense to save Noble the game, Sams 4 man Thor dunk from a season or 2 ago, or Baskins 4 man Morrigan stun. But good video regardless, and hadn’t even ever heard of the number 1 moment lol
Watching spl in season 3 was such a Wild West time and I’m so glad I was able to watch these live. I never thought outside the box in the moment of the 1 minute surrender and ever thought “this was insane, I’m gonna see this clip for the next decade 100 times” I just was more or less trying to process the nonsense
yeah i didn't think it would be brought up so often either and for good reason. It's not that crazy. they had just gotten STOMPED so it wasn't that crazy that they were willing to try something out of the box. Clearly the rules permit surrender or they wouldn't have been able to do it, that fat caster blew it up to be such a bigger deal than it was.
Season 7 worlds not being in here is criminal. The Pk boys going back to back with another title with a reverse sweep, then winning a game with 3 phoenixes down and their titan under 1k hp in an elimination game, and Paul's individual performance in that tournament is why people think he's the greatest mid-laner to ever touch the game. I still watch those sets because of the amazing games and the incredible casting.
I think if you ever want to show new players why crit on an item before tier 3 is a bad idea, you need to show people the Oceans crit under the tier 1. That as TheOtherFrost so elegantly titled was “the crit heard round the world”. An absolutely insane play and moment in SPL history.
The Smite Worlds finals between Ghost and PK will go down as one of the best sets of smite i have ever seen. PK coming back from a deficit in game 1 and shocking Ghost to then beating them up in game 2. But Ghost said hell no and destroyed them in game 3, and then one of the best endings to a game i’ve seen in game 4 where Ghost pulled it out with Olorun mid. Game 5 was then fantastic, but pretty dominating for PK to win back to back. Just a really sick set, and for the Worlds finals?! Really awesome.
I think I have not watched worlds or SmiteEsports in... almost 5 years I think... But I still remember some of these old ones and they made me smile. But one of my favorite screaming moments from the watching chair was the Scylla Pentakill. I wonder if I should try and watch SmiteEsports again. And try to play some also. Still love the game, but my partner is one of those who demand attention and I can't really pause or leave the game.
Benji raidbossing the entirety of worlds on Cu Cu and the Areswalker game need a mention. F-dot's "Chains, Chaaaaiiiiiins, CHAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIINS!!!!" commentary will forever be iconic
Baffled me how Benji kept being the problem and they refused to ban him out on all sets and continued to get guardian Solos in the final to make it easier for him to get ahead. I'll never understand their thinking process
I clicked on this video having not watched the Smite Pro League in probably 5 years, but just hoping that the GAMEHUNTER Vamana penta from the launch tournament would be in here as I remember freaking out watching that live, so thank you for including that! I totally forgot about the absolute epic jukes from ShadowQ in that tournament as well!! Wow a lot of these are actually from when I used to play and watch the game, lots of nostalgia moments!
A slightly different but similar idea, a list of the jankiest picks that have worked ie jarcs bellona adc or the ares solo. Should probs limit it to one per pro for some of the more out there players like dw or bennyq
I heard you say "And Myflin, honestly one of the goats of hype casting absolutely delivers here" right after hearing Dolson solely delivering some of the best hype casting from SMITE in recent years and was so confused.
there was this play in what i believe was s6 or so, where one of the junglers had an amazing predict blink around a blue buff. shame i cant remember who that was but damn i remember seeing that play and it stuck with me years after
This also wasn't the context that occurred behind the envyus throw funny enough. Omega who was the person that Dust subbed for actually rage quitted hard on his lane. Hirez gave an official statement showing that the disconnect wasn't a server connection issue and was entirely Client sided with intention aka he rage quitted. If you look at the game before this moment Omega was getting FARMED in his lane and has had a history in ranked play to be incredibly toxic as well so the behavior translated into the pro match. A lot of controversy also spawned from the match too with the fans in regards to DUST getting fined as well despite the fact he was just the substitute following calls. It was an insane moment that was talked about consistently for a month and a lot of people wondered what Hirez's decision was going to be.
How can you do this and not have the moment where a sick barracuda runs into the stadium to help his team make a comeback after missing the first 2 games, then losing the 4th. But it was hype
I forget what season it was. I think it was season 9. The entire team rotated around the wards by going all the way around the map and took the FG and killed the enemy team who were totally unaware
What was the moment when a guy died before the game even started at like -0.10 seconds. It happened on the old map, I just forget what the teams were playing and what match
The hype died when nrg died and hirez cancelled Europe what were the best players at the time and are still to this day. Nothings compares to season 1 to 3.
NME was my favorite team in the one season of the SPL that I really ever followed, and by god did that backdoor play ever get me thrown out of the college library for loosing my shit. XD
Paul one shotting sam with syclla ult in season 7 worlds finals on the left tier 2 tower into the blind over the wall ult on fineneokay is my personal favorite just because 1: paul is the goat and 2: that is one of the most insane mechanical plays you could ever imagine also shoutout to the ungodly amount of kephri 2 objective steals
Bro.... no Repikas 4kill to make one of the biggest comebacks ever ? no MCLsth3alth ripping through? nothing from Epsilon vs C9 best set probably ever ?
I never knew the backstory to the sunder F6 match. Now that I know, I kinda side with them. Hirez being the shitty company they are, made them lose the first match for some unknown reaso
the first clip is the primary reason i hate esports, casters screaming just to hear their own voices. that penta wasn't that crazy at all, thank god vaman isn't in that state anymore
inter did say it was one of if not the first competitive pentas. getting a penta in a normal match is hype, doing it on such a big stage is 100% more hype.
That Janus play was dignitas vs team rival
Don't forget the king Arthur quad kill at enemy speed. I think that was Harry.
@@xaxscratchxax926yea variety’s Arthur 1v4 is a classic lol
Season 5
One that I’d personally add was SK/PK’s legendary worlds run, especially the part where they reverse 3/0d the same team TWICE. For real
Agreed
Pretty sure that was Bart casting ShadowQ's jukes. Legendary moment.
Yeah, that one was Bart
I'm pretty sure it's dolson casting the death walker fearless. I love that man miss his casting
Trust me!!!
For me the most iconic and super awkward moment was EUnited v SSG when the whole team slept in til like noon, showed up an hour late and won the set.
Zapman not only being the ONLY 3 time champ but to do it Back to Back to Back will probably be never done again
people don't mention that enough, its genuinly insane
Wait, no variety KA 1v4 with old glad shield!? I’m shocked!
I would’ve loved to see this be 2 different videos of moments in SPL and then plays in SPL. So glad Deathwalker’s fearless is on the list, that Hex Mambo run was legendary

Yeah man not seeing their run for worlds on this list is just bias best SPL set in smite history under dogs to the max

There’s a tournament where both teams speed rushed Titan, and they killed almost at the same time, it was dooope to see it live
I think I have not watched worlds or SmiteEsports in... almost 5 years I think... But I still remember some of these old ones and they made me smile. But one of my favorite screaming moments from the watching chair was the Scylla Pentakill.

The variety Glad Shield KA play was something
Wasn't the DW Tyr cast Dolson? Great vid btw!
Yes it was
Ah you might be right there. They sound kinda similar, both amazing casters though. Sad to see Dolson go.
@@Inters3ct Yeah especially with the energy that high, it's all just shouting lol. Dolflin was the best caster combo for sure
Honorable mention to Licht vs Allegiance. Maybe the biggest upset in Smite history.
The worst part about Dmbrandon is, honestly, he was an amazing caster. Why couldn't he just be normal
I clicked on this video having not watched the Smite Pro League in probably 5 years, but just hoping that the GAMEHUNTER Vamana penta from the launch tournament would be in here as I remember freaking out watching that live, so thank you for including that!

I appreciate your channel and your work as a historian of sorts for smite. Really helps people like me who started only like in season 8 or something.
I've never heard of EMC squared. Crazy someone actually used wallhacks.
I remember an insane Ares Janus upt combo that pulled enemies out of phoneix into the jungle
Honestly number 3 the 1 min f6 was justified with how smite handled their first game and Hindu was just being a baby
What happened first game?
7:55 love how this was filmed all dramatic😂
3:15 that's not drybear..
Fineo raid bossing is a true classic
Shoulda done Aquila vs cloud 9 the flat the time best come back in smite history, won when they had all 3 Phoenix doen
You not putting benji on the cu cu is criminal
8:37 the Odin ult keeping the enemy team out 🤯
My favorite!
there was this play in what i believe was s6 or so, where one of the junglers had an amazing predict blink around a blue buff. shame i cant remember who that was but damn i remember seeing that play and it stuck with me years after
The loop around the wards nrg play to steal fg
scary d king arthur play in s7 worlds should’ve been an honorable mention atleast but good list overall
Say whatever about dmbrandon but as a caster he was legendary.
I actually didn't know the context behind the envyus throw. That makes a lot more sense as to why they threw so hard.
This also wasn't the context that occurred behind the envyus throw funny enough. Omega who was the person that Dust subbed for actually rage quitted hard on his lane. The firing of dm
No Sam predicting swk blink and ulting. No achiles ult predicting thor hammer. No King Arthur 1v4. I agree. Should’ve been 2 separate videos
Oceans Anhur crit kill with throwing dagger at level 2 was iconic. Also 667
How can you do this and not have the moment where a sick barracuda runs into the stadium to help his team make a comeback after missing the first 2 games, then losing the 4th. But it was hype
Honorable mention to Baskin stunning 3 on Morrison in like season 5 I think. When he played mid.
5:42 Ni no Kuni music!
I forget what season it was. I think it was season 9. The entire team rotated around the wards by going all the way around the map and took the FG and killed the enemy team who were totally unaware
6:19 he says it was myflin but that was dolson best caster to get you hyped bro sad he retired from casting
What was the moment when a guy died before the game even started at like -0.10 seconds. It happened on the old map, I just forget what the teams were playing and what match
Gamehunters play literally got me really into playing smite
what about the variety 1v4 on king arthur at enemy speed buff?
I love vamana for outnumbered fights its amazing
I need that shadowq juke moment with a slide whistle edited over every dodge.
The hype died when nrg died and hirez cancelled Europe what were the best players at the time and are still to this day. Nothings compares to season 1 to 3.
No love for the Repikas quadra kill that launched Cog Aquila's (Titan's) unlikely trip to the Finals?
2019 team Rival vs SK gaming double base race was also iconic for me
NME was my favorite team in the one season of the SPL that I really ever followed, and by god did that backdoor play ever get me thrown out of the college library for loosing my shit. XD
Man I miss drybear in smite, and as shit of a person he is DM was was great caster
aror base defense and that king Arthur vs space station where he 1v5 i believe it was variety that did that are the first two I thought of lol
Not including the mlcstealth scylla triple root from s1 worlds and the aquila vs c9 comeback is criminal
God like vid. I miss betty so much. Thank you for filling the void
I wish you put in the ravana 1v5 from like season 7
When i saw the title i guess the 5man invade and 667 right away. I did think the kuzenbo dukes was gunna be one thou. Cant remember who did it thou
as an og spl fan i’m GEEKED to get into this vid
thy who shall not be named casting on the first clip??? oh yea we bavk
Man I remember how pissed Hindu was when that f6 happened
Would have loved to see some of Benji's popping off on cuchulain in S4 worlds
I thought the NME backdoor call was by PandaCat, but I could be wrong.
Old zeus stun was beautiful
I can't believe you don't list a single Paul or SK/PK moment.
You said you'd link a video explaining 667 in the description, where is it?
Oh my bad, added it now: ua-cam.com/video/rJ2_zOPgOPg/v-deo.html
I LOVE SMITE
10:10 any experienced player cringed at this, missing all that exp and gold
So when’s Part 2 dropping ? Also can’t forget Paul absolutely destroying Rival with the Scylla in season 7(?)
667 best play ever
Surprised I only knew less than half of these😮
Was that not Dave casting in #6?
I thought Baskin vs Envyus would be #1
If I got juked like that ShadowQ play I would stop playing for a few weeks
That old vamana penta kill clip needs to die. I can't handle hearing the casters screaming like that it sounds like domestic violence lmao
No MLC STEALTH?! Probably the biggest moment in smite history just not mentioned.
No mention of the 3 time champ?
What about when eunited showed up like 3 hours late and still won the set 😂😂
From the scc Sololaner 06:13 T_T
Paul one shotting sam with syclla ult in season 7 worlds finals on the left tier 2 tower into the blind over the wall ult on fineneokay is my personal favorite just because 1: paul is the goat and 2: that is one of the most insane mechanical plays you could ever imagine
also shoutout to the ungodly amount of kephri 2 objective steals
U can do one video like this but not with the spl plays, with the ones from top 5 plays
Bro.... no Repikas 4kill to make one of the biggest comebacks ever ? no MCLsth3alth ripping through? nothing from Epsilon vs C9 best set probably ever ?
Suprised you didn't mention Zapman 3 time winning worlds
That was dolson not myf with dw tyr play
No honorable mention with Doug?
I never knew the backstory to the sunder F6 match. Now that I know, I kinda side with them. Hirez being the shitty company they are, made them lose the first match for some unknown reaso
#6 was dolson not my, vid 10/10 tho
Bro wheres the erlang shen penta kill?
5 minutes in and I hope to see 667
Idk Wlfy 2018's Kraken still more iconic than those jukes.
I fell out of smite and am now coming back.
Did barracuda ever win a championship ;-;?
He won the very first one lol
That was dolson not mif
Can someone explain the wall hacks
Paul 1 hp with ullr mid
When vanana was good
No fineo crit arthur? Shame
WHERE IS MOUSE GAMING
the first clip is the primary reason i hate esports, casters screaming just to hear their own voices. that penta wasn't that crazy at all, thank god vaman isn't in that state anymore
