From a Psychological perspective it actually does make sense. People will very often ignore the obvious if it goes against how they perceive the world. Nobody would expect Superman to have a normal life outside so most wouldn't make the connection between the two and people who know him would have it even harder cause Clark Kent is so unassuming while Superman is a symbol of power and all that is good. To be fair, even saying that it is still pretty unlikely that no one would make the connection but most wouldn't.
To be fair, you can look up how Henery stood by a billboard of him as Superman in the square of a city but no one recognized him. He was literally standing by a huge picture of him as Superman and people couldn't tell.

(Son is his family name) Goku is pretty much clueless about family to begin with, he only lived with his grandpa on the mountain and spent most of his childhood training martial arts and doing whatever kids are doing... with super power. Even his marriage with Chi-Chi is kinda one sided with her (kinda) forcing herself onto him. (I'm sure she's the one taking the lead on bed because Goku is clueless about child making) Goku only knows martial arts his whole life, so his only way to connect with Gohan is through training (Cell Saga), because... well, he died against Raditz then spent most of his time hospitalized and training before Frieza saga, so Picollo is left taking care of Gohan as the "Foster Father" and co-trainer. Also, Gohan is heavily influenced by his mother who prioritized the "normal" way of living instead of his father who's all about reaching the pinnacle of martial arts.
