Great advice, Eric! Working for free in America is a tough pill to swallow since a lot of us are taught to work for money BUT having that sense of humility is what can make you stand out in a crowd of people who are only looking for paid work.

Great to hear how almost everyone who operates at a high level seems to put money below other factors, such as results.

That's a really sharp insight. The money will come - but growth is priceless.

Nice one Eric 👍 you have actually walked the walk. Unlike some of these so called gurus trying to teach marketing who haven’t even done it themselves. Lol.

I don't know if this is special to where I live but, we have something called ''un stage''. Which literally is, from free to very little monetary gain in working time. This is often used on par with studies related to the work in question. The main goal behind it is learning but, I also see it as a way to ''make a name for yourself'' by showing what you can do. We could say, it basically doubles as a chance to prove your worth. That said, your tip about working for free for a month, makes a lot of senses. It will only be beneficial when the time to be putting this learning on actual action comes, just don't let fear prevent you from trying. In the worst case, you will learn from your mistakes and be better prepared for your next attempt, right?
PS : My native language being French, please excuse me if I did any mistakes with English. Thank you m(_ _ )m

Awesome, very interesting insights. Well said especially on the part about branding and making a name for yourself by showing what you can do, you create value for your audience and that really does double your chance to prove your worth. Thank you for sharing about this! Let me know what other videos you'd like to see on the channel 😄

Well thank you (^.^) And it's always a pleasure to share.
As for videos, from what I know and from what I've seen so far, your content is very well made and easy to understand. But, I did see / heard one thing that seems to come back a lot. And that is the act of ''trying''.
Don't get me wrong through, I am well aware of how ''trying'' is one of the most, if not THE MOST important part of everything. But, I took some minutes to imagine my-self as a newbie and how it could make him feel.
So, my suggestion would be the following :
How about a ''safety'' related video? Sorry, I,m not sure how to actually call it in English tbh so, I'll try to explain it.
Something like, how to calculate and plan a ''safe first move'' for a first investment. Of course, I'm not talking about staying at this ''safe spot'', that would be like not trying at all, in the end. What I am thinking about is more of a sort of ''first initiative'' that can be done as a first try without any fear for any newbie. Sometimes, it's the first step that is the scariest but, once it's done, all the following steps are much easier (making it less scary to drop the safety).
Oh I think I found a way to call it, something like ''Safely breaking the ice''.
Sorry for all my long comments and thank you again for all of the information you are sharing with us. It is truly appreciated (^.^) I'dd even dare to say; that discovering your channel was surely one of my best birthday gifts ever.

I would say you learn the basics through online courses, UA-cam, and blogs. Then find a good agency and offer them to work for free.
That way you will learn very fast!

This may depend on the company and their job description for it but basically you perform general marketing related tasks, content creation, and some graphic designing. 😄

    Hi,
    Eric,
Loving your content and love from India,
I have a little question which I'm confused about
I'm going to use WP Rocket for caching and Max CDN for CDN does use both of these plugins in the same website can create a problem because of both of these offering CDN?

    • @LevelingUpOfficial
      @LevelingUpOfficial  5 років тому +1

Hey Jaya, it can get pretty complicated here - without knowing your exact set up I wouldn't be able to give you the best advice. I would definitely suggest researching how the two play together on your site. Rocket is supposed to help speed things up, but make sure it's all working properly. Theoretically it should be fine, but this stuff can get complicated fast - I'd suggest to talk to a developer.
