- In this lesson, you’ll learn 20 informal Japanese phrases through a fun story!
There are two main parts in this video: 1) Japanese Listening Practice with a story (without subtitles)
2) Listening the story with subtitles and explanations!
Also, in this video, I added Hiragana to all the Kanji as some of you requested !😊 I hope this helps your learning!

the first few videos were mostly easy for me. Then this one put me back in my place.
If you are learning from a Japanese textbook, these informal phrases are never taught (at the beginner level) , and would be new to you. But please don't feel discouraged, and have fun while learning! 🙏Thank you for watching!

Ah, several of these I translated in my head a little incorrectly. It’s good to know what the phrases actually mean, because even if it was somewhat close in my head, it’s still different enough to really matter towards understanding someone and getting along/communicating successfully. There were also many phrases I didn’t know at all. It’s frustrating that I understand much more than I can speak because I need both if I ever want to visit Japan and have a pleasant trip. Anyway, subscribing because it’s been a long time since I tried studying Japanese again. Thanks for your hard work.
