In this video, Jacob sees in a vision a ladder reaching up into heaven. The Lord promises him seed as the dust of the earth in number. Also, that in him and in his seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. Jacob covenants to pay tithes. Jacob meets Rachel at the well. He serves Laban seven years for her. Laban gives to Jacob, first Leah, then Rachel in marriage. Jacob serves another seven years. Leah bears Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah. Jacob marries Bilhah and she bears Dan and Naphtali. He marries Zilpah and she bears Gad and Asher. Leah bears Issachar and Zebulun and a daughter, Dinah. Then Rachel conceives and bears Josepyh. Jacob works for Laban for wages of cattle and sheep.
Ladies, this is a perfect example if you want a hearbreak, purue a man that doesnt love you the same way you do. A man that truly loves you will go above and beyond

The funny thing is even though Leah gave jacob the most sons, he still love Rachel's son the most as he loved her. Why the father forced Rachel on Jacob who knows. That was desperation.
Jacob had been a trickster his entire life. This was a life lesson learned.
@biancapolk8053 Thanks for that. I've learned that Leah was the oldest, and because of tradition, she was supposed to get married first instead of the young.

Jacob never loved nor wanted Leah but she was God's choice to be Jesus human ancestors. In fact Jesus traces his lineage through Leah's son Judah.

Yeah and she became the ancestor of our messiah through her son Judah.
She was consoled, hence the reason why God opened her womb because He saw that she was unloved. She thought Jacob would finally love her after the first 3 eldest sons but he didnt. So when the 4th, Judah came along, she praised God instead. We see she was blessed throughout her marriage even while being unloved and unwanted. In the end, not only did Jesus Christ descend from Leah but Jacob was buried next to her instead of Rachel.
the only thing I like to photocopy that they already know how science work as earlier as genesis time. Jacob accepted all scrapies job and he had a big family and he had been watching over the cattle for how Long, he knows exactly what he must have.

@@jasonwilliams8321 You're allowed to have your interpretation. But the bible doesn't describe her as ugly, it's just that Rachael was exceptionally beautiful. So Leah must've been overshadowed by her in the looks department.
