- Watch Byomkesh Bakshi's episode-32 'Lohe Ka Biscuit'. Byomkesh Bakshi is a fictional detective in Bengali literature created by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. He is one of the most successful and popular characters in Bengali literature.
Doordarshan now brings to you the entire series of this literary classic which was televised back in 1993 directed by the brilliant Basu Chatterjee. Actor Rajit Kapur played the role of Byomkesh Bakshi, for which he was highly praised. Ajit was played by K.K. Raina and Satyaboti was played by Sukanya Kulkarni who was the first actress to play the character.
Last episode:( These 5 days of watching this show have been really calm and peaceful. Watched episodes while eating, sleeping, break time.. Got attached with the show as it yekayak took me to my childhood days.. The simplicity of the show cannot be beaten by any show.

A shadow of sadness was clearly visible in this last episode on the face of Rajit Kapoor the diamond of these all episodes ....yes we never can forget the golden ring of this series Mr Ajit.... our childhood has been framed eternally by these sweetest time.... thanks all of the members of durdarsan.
Umm, not really. These episodes weren’t shot in their sequence. They were shot according to the location, in a very unconventional fashion. Rajit himself said that in one of the interviews. They did continuous shooting for 6 months in different locations and shot all the scenes of one location together. So it is possible that this was one of the first episodes to be shot. :)

Best show of doordarshan, itni simplicity dekhkar bahut achcha laga aur itna attachment bhi kisi serial ke saath nahi hua. Aakhir ke 4 episodes main ajeet babu bhi hote to sab kuch Complete hota. Ab saare episodes download kiye jaayenge 😇budhape ke liye bhi to kuch jamapunji honi chahiye.

As the saying goes all good things come to an end. But this was a beautiful journey and i am not sad that it ended. I had a fracture on my right hand and i was told by the doctor for a complete bed rest for 2 weeks. For the first few days i saw various movies and series on different OTT platforms and i forgot the plot of those as soon as I finished them; one day by accident I came across this on DD while channel surfing. Went to UA-cam and saw all the episodes not at one go and even though these were elementary I still remember all the episodes. A timeless creation. Thank you.
Rajit is simply fabulous. Brought back my younger days memories. Thanks for hosting it once again.
The series give a feel of Colonial and post-Colonial India. The film truly shows how Dhoti and Kurta is an Indian culture and not an obligation for the poor as they couldn't afford Shirt-pant and coat. Even Rich and Super rich people were not shown ashamed of their culture and practiced their culture naturally. One of the memorable and amazing experience was of the colonial period. It was so real. Just missed the British.

I loved the fact that it was shot like a movie and not like episodes. This is the hallmark of planning, vision and execution.
The music was brilliant throughout. It induces a sense of fer and thrill if you watch it late night.
Rajit Kapur - I loved him for his brilliance, K Raina and Sukanya Kulkarni leaved a mark with their presence.
I will definitely like to visit Calcutta soon once to experience all good things they have shown.
Kudos to the entire team for making the serial and series version.

I have seen all the episodes. Such a wonderful and simple life . Byomkesh ji never seems to work for money. Simple living, simple lifestyle, simple dressing. But in last some episodes I am missing Ajit ji presence. May be Basu chatterjee did these episodes in hurry. Anyways Mr. Rajit Kapoor ji who is Satyenveshi in this serial worked very few serials and movies. I am missing his presence.

Just finished the entire series. Initially thought Ajit Babu didn't make much of a difference. But when he wasn't there in the last few episodes, i missed him very much.
Few episodes were also made into Bengali movies. Those are really good as well. But Rajit Kapoor will always remain the OG Byomkesh for me.

Evergreen Serials in 1990s, evergreen script on that era. Super actors - whether it was Byomkesh Bakshi, Dekh bhai dekh, Zabaan Sambhaal Ke, Ramayan, Mahabharat, Tehkikaat, POtli Baba ki, Circus, Faugee, Sea Hawks - Thank you Doordarshan. for making our childhood GOLDEN., I must say stop all today's channel - run again Doordarshan with those serial, I bet on this TRP recorder cant calculate the rating- cos it will BOOM-BOOM.

One of the best shows of 90s. Now a days tv shows just sucks, they can never replace the simplicity and beauty which was there in those times - "Golden era of Doordarshan". Feeling nostalgic to watch it after so many years. CHILDHOOD MEMORIES :)

Finally the last episode. Makes me so nostalgic. Watched each episode each day and relieved my youth. This was an amazing serial. Best days of my life. Will watch the Bengali movies now, even those are superb.

Byomkesh without Ajit babu & Dhoti Kurta is incomplete (at last wore Kurta Pajama but Ajit didn't appear only mentioned) Aur pehle 2 bar to Chai ke liye bhi mana kar diya 😅 This series is very Classic, intelligent and entertaining.

Rajit Kumar sir is all time best.....great acting and I would like to mention about sukanyatai Kulkarni mone which is satyavati...At that time she was performing a housefull marathi drama, 'lekure udand zali' and was managing shooting of this serial also.....

Title track is still relatable to suspense thriller. It's not outdated. In fact, it is an example for other detective shows to look up to it for an ideal music for such shows.

सिर्फ 32 एपिसोड है इतिहास रच दिया टीवी शो बोमकेशबक्शी ने आज तक लोग याद करते है लेकिन इतने कम एपिसोड पर बोमकेशबक्शी क्यों बंद कर दिया गया डायरेक्टर की ये बात समझ में नहीं आई वक्त निकल चुका है ना ऐसा डायरेक्टर मिलेगा और ना रजत कपूर जैसा शानदार अभिनय करने वाला अब सिर्फ इस शो के 32 एपिसोड और इसका बैकग्राउड म्यूजिक याद के तौर पर है
