"The Original" Glenmorangie, perhaps is the most loved Scotch in Scotland. Known for its flavoursome yet clean and creamy taste, this is one Scotch for each one of us whisky lovers, to hold and behold. Touted as a simple complex blend. Established in 1843 by a farmer couple William and Anne, it is currently owned by the LVMH group.
Spoiler alert, the review is biased- I love this expression.

Yet to taste this one. Since you have mentioned this is a single malt which cannot be ignored by anyone ... plus all the accumulated hype around this bottle this one would be my go to drink this weekend. However, I was wondering about the association of the Giraffe with this brand. We also have a 10 foot Giraffe placed as part of visual merchandising in store close to my home. Any idea??
I am myself very critical of hype and marketing gimmickry but in the case of GlenMO the marketing came much later than the actual success of the single malt. And yes courtesy LVMH group, they are for sure behind the global distribution and the recent noise(positively) around the brand.
So this is unlike the Grey Goose marketing, where the thought of marketing originated first and then the drink was invented to suit the marketing
or
the William Lawson, where in order to resurrect the brand and in order to standout they came up with a marketing strategy of wanting to stand out- which according to me is a childish campaign.
And for sure it is nothing like the Jardine Crescent untraceable Scottish distillery link of our own ABD group's Sterling reserve- a marketing strategy on what-not-to-do.
The Giraffe link- yes Wincy, I am aware, thanks for asking. I wanted to cover in the video but was not sure if the audience had the appetite for it and left it for the other upcoming GlenMO video.
But as you ask I explain, for a long time say 175 years there tall stills have been the tallest in whole of Scotland and they claim that smoothness of the single malt comes from that. So the Giraffe in the VM is a representation of that aspect and in order to further strengthen the campaign they have a program where they also conserve the Giraffe in general and especially certain endangered species of Giraffe- the consumer can also contribute. More perhaps in the next GlenMO video.
Finally as you are going to drink on my recommendation, please observe the green apple, dark chocolate and the mint. Do not munch as soon as you finish a sip, give your palate rest and you will feel the cool mint staying for a very long time something which I LOVED.

IMHO, I will start with GlenMO move towards GlenLivet12 and end with Fusion.
Fusion at the end only because there is a slight peat and I not sure whether you are used to smoky profile (even if you are I would place Fusion to be enjoyed last).
