Great simple DIY collective! Logitech launched a force feedback HOTAS back in 2009, the G940 HOTAS It was discontinued shortly after, but can still be found 2nd hand. This might be an option if you want a FFB stick with more inputs. It originally came with a dual throttle and rudder pedals as part of the set. There is also a discontinued FFB version of the Logitech 3D pro with Force Feedback, but the Sidewinder you currently have might be superior still, apart from having fewer buttons on the grip.
Love this mod. Keep in mind that the point are the sims. Not the spending war on accessories. I’ve spent (lost) enough time on viperpit forum to see it become the home of the misguided woodworking sect. Sure they can reproduce the whole startup sequence of an F16. But they have a 10% survival rate in a dogfight.
I've recently taken the upgrade to DCS and am currently training in rotary aircraft like the Huey. It works so much better although I have to admit I will eventually break down soon and upgrade this for a virpil or winwing collective. I'll see if I can't upload a video of the stick in operation soon, check back for an update.

@@RobBob555 nope, my son does vr, I've tried it plenty of times. I have other medical issues that I suffer from vertigo and dizzy spells just in my real life and when I just put the head set on and do simple things like gentle walking it makes me violently ill. I'll admit that sitting in the Apache in vr is awesome but it's an experience that I don't think I'll ever be able to adjust to. 2d "pancake" DCS is plenty immersive for me.

excellent setup do you use forcefeedback on arma3??
No. Thanks for watching
As Ross would say PIVOT!
Did you determine whether it works better or no difference right side up then just reverse axis in the controls setup?
Hi Blueliner34.
Thanks for the great video.
Can you let me know how you power the quadrant, and connect to the PC please?
The quadrant has a USB cord that powers and sends signals to pc.
@@cre8ive34 my quadrant has a round 6 pin plug, that needs to be plugged into the yoke to power it 😒.

and now the hockey
the stick, how do convert from db9 to usb?
If you're referring to the Sidewinder control stick..... it's usb
💘💘❤❤💖💖
Needs VR
Can't do VR, it's Def cool but makes me violently sick.
@@cre8ive34 it does everyone at first..you get used to it within a week..
Start off with gentle VR games, then do MSFS or whatever sim you prefer ..people rush headlong into VR..you need to build up a tolerance mate
