This is the best review I have seen with one exception. You did not show the installation instructions, the book print is so small and hard to see. All in all thanks.
Apologies. I have not yet fitted it properly to my car as am getting a new car so when I do I'll show it. I've just left it hanging from the mounting point.
It's the domestic power supply frequency. UK electrical grid frequency distributes at 50Hz and US is 60Hz, hence why when you record, you try to match to multiples of the AC frequency to stop the flickering. Conversely speaking, it's the reason why motion picture is captured is at the corresponding frame rates.
Oh, one more thing. Referring to your critique of Night light becomes sometimes low or better. From what I see in your footage, I see the change to low light, only when you move and back to bright, when you stop (Very first and very end). I bet this is one great auto feature of the camera to sense the movement and turn the shutter frame rate to a higher number (Presumably something like default 1/30 fps) just to prevent the "Motion Blur" image, as it may happen with slower frame rates and higher ISO is only allowed in stationary phase. I guess this is actually a plus and we should be happy to have it that way.
3:04 Oh no. You must be too young and we used to call this type of connection, MINI USB. MICRO USB is the more flat, more delicate type that you call phone type! Good review and thanks.
That's a "mini USB", not a "micro USB". Mini USB was the standard for electronics and phones many years ago before Micro became a thing. I had an VX6800 smartphone that connected by Mini USB
You can press the menu button which will lock the clip based on the loop time you select (1,3 or 5mins). However, you cannot record the last 30 seconds by a button and can only lock the loop recording. So for example, if you are 5 seconds into the clip, it will only lock 5 seconds of the clip (and not the clip before). You need to manually go and lock the clip before so this is a negative for the dashcam
@@reallycantdrive3936 so it will not work if i use the 12v cigarette as power output? Also if i leave it plug in on my cigarette output will it drain my battery? Thanks for your reply
@@ramon7291 It depends on your 12v socket. In most cars they switch off after a couple of minutes and mine switches off as soon as I remove the key. And it shouldn't drain your battery unless you leave it for a long time without driving the car.
My camera goes off after turning off the car, I thought it's a 24/24 Camera detection (when Parking mode is on or with motion detection) or not? could You pls help me?
You either need to hard wire to your cars electrics or in the unlikely case that you have a 12v socket that stays on when the car is off. The battery only lasts a few mins
How do you manage to save the date in the setting, every time it switches on or Off, all settings reset which is quite annoying. Does any one know how that can be saved for good?
Have you tried resetting the unit to see if this fixes the issue? Switching on the time and date stamp and setting the time and date works on mine and it saves it for good
couple of things 1 the cable is called a mini usb not micro and was the normal standard before the newer micro usb 2 aim the camera down to get less sky in the camera as this will help prevent the video being over exposed and washed out
Could you please inform me with regards to the battery. when plugged into the 1w volt battery charger it doesnt seem to power it enough to keep it on. Only stays on when plugged into 230 volt socket at home? Cant keep the dash cam on anywhere else as just says low battery and shuts down
Are you taking any the car socket? I would test your socket in the car as it may be faulty as mine works off the car 12v socket. Otherwise contact apeman support, they are quite helpful and will probably send out another unit or cable. The battery in the dash cam only lasts for 5mins max
It is not the best for that, the rear camera is only 720p and the screen is very small so you can't see too much. It is alright as a rear recording cam where you can watch on a bigger screen after

The 50htz or 60htz are the different TV standards used in USA and UK. Its 50 htz for UK
NOT "TV Standard" but it's AC/Alternating Current frequency.

hi mate! will the front dashcam automatically turn on and record if another car hit you at the front while you car is idle or parked?
Hey, you need to have it hardwired, but yes it will. As long as the collision sets off the g-sensor

That it's not inserted properly or formatted. Try formatting/wiping it

No. 32gb max

You don't need a backup camera. That's a pure luxury, not a necessity. People have been backing cars up without backup cams for decades.
