just as a kind of general piece of advice- even if the elementary schoo, kids are in your way, maybe not do 40mph through the school zone with the crossing guard holding the stop sign out and kids in the crosswalk.
You got the head tube angle explanation backwards actually. Steeper head tubes (front wheel closer to frame) are more agile, but much more unstable at high speeds, the shallow one that this bike has (more straight out in your own words) is made for stability because of how fast it goes, and it also causes it to handle heavier like a motorcycle so you dont lose control.
I’ve never been on the p51 but I’m gonna say the p51 is gonna be a more comfortable ride from what I’ve heard and the spark bandit is gonna be more of an upgradeable ebike to add power or batteries to it.
If i were looking for a bike like this I would spend the extra $800. To have the option to customize the bike is worth it. I would agree with the review video and order the parts but not have Spark install them. If I am paying the full price for the extra parts i would want the original parts rather as backup parts or to sell and recover some of the price. I would rather Spark used black on the shifter even if they had to go with a different brand. The silver just doesn't look good with the black.
I'm tempted on getting one of these as they're on sale currently but wish they didn't come with gears, just a single speed cog and maybe have the battery mounted under the seat/top tubes like ZOOZ bikes do.
I enjoy your reviews. I really do. I’m considering an e-moped based on your videos since I’ve seen them all. But…you went through a school zone with a crossing guard holding up a stop sign. You also basically ran a red light and I’m just have way through the video. This contributes to the negative perception that motorists often have regarding cyclists and e-bike / e-moped riders. Please consider promoting a safer ride. Your viewers will respect you for it.

Reckless driving, gonna ruin it for all of us, begging for more regulations and limits. Says “people think we are a motorcycle”. That’s because you are driving like one. Register this thing. Spark comes with a VIN for this reason.
@@MrCentralDriver fair enough. I would think Spark has to register it then. Car makers send out cars for reviewers in multiple states, I wonder how they do it. No clue.
@@legonut78 For cars they're registered to the manufacturer, in whatever state the manufacturer's US headquarters are. Maybe Spark could do the same thing and make reviewers sign a waiver. Who knows. Too many differences and price being a huge difference it’s hard to say. Depends on your funds. Me personally I’d buy the spark bandit because I like speed. But if your on a budget the revv1 is great for its price.
Awesome thanks for the advice. In the market but so conflicted. I might have to wait and see how your revv 1 build goes. That will probably make my decision.
Thx for the review. surpised to hear you didn't like this bike that much. was one that i was waiting for in the moped/moto 20" tire space. i thought it might check off a lot of boxes for me.
I loved the bike. I didn’t say I didn’t like it. Just the steering is a bit weird to get used to and the lights are sub par but this bike can be modified so it can be fixed easily
Maybe immature 20 early 30 somethings should not ride an ebike. Speeding thru a school zone with the crossing gaurd has a stop sign out is not cool man.
He was walking out when I was coming up. I had enough time to pass before the kids started walking into the street. And they were coming from the other side. Not my side. It was safe to go through. If I stopped I would have been sitting for 3-5mins and then be stuck in traffic that would build up behind me and start passing me. Best to get away from traffic. If you ever ride bikes around you’ll understand
@@MrCentralDriver I'm 60 years old and have ridden bikes and motorcycles since I was a kid - I think I know what its like to "ride bikes around." Regarding your response to @fn72351: The crossing monitor is out stopping traffic as soon as he is visible to you, when you where about 200 yards from the crossing. He wasn't, as you say, "Walking out as (you) were coming up." At 100 yards from where you where at, a child has stepped into the school crossing. The law doesn't trust you or anyone else to estimate how much time you have before a child reaches your lane of traffic; in this situation you just stop, period. If you can't deal with that because you're worried about losing 3-5 minutes of your precious time you should absolutely not be on the road. The same with your attitude towards stops signs: we all stop for them because its the law; if you think you know better and are above the law, get off the road. I'm not even going to get into the speeds you appear to think you are entitled to ride without license, insurance or registraion, but, just to say, the police won't turn a blind eye to that forever. For now the stock answer is "you'll be fine, as long as you don't ride like an idiot." Well.... I'm sure you have the ability to be a good and thorough reviewer of ebikes, emopeds, emotorcycles, whatever (your discusion of the headlight on this model for example was very informative) but this display of your atrocious riding, caught on tape, will do nothing but harm to the sport, and give ample material to those who want greatly increased attention of law enforcement, further regulations and even outright bans on ebikes. This would have been a very good time for you to have said "My bad," shown some humility and learned something from your mistakes; your response however confirms your sense of selfish entitlement while on the road. I, for one, certainly wouldn't want to ride or drive anywhere near you.

In this video, you ran a stop sign, you have ridden in an unsafe way many times and you ran a red light. You give good bikers a bad name. I'm kinda over looking the other way to support videos like yours that promote this kind of riding.
100% agree. A bike or ebike does not exclude anyone from road laws. It might take him getting a $1000 ticket for running stop signs in a school zone, before he changes his habits.
