Definitely agree that they should have done a higher contrasting color for the logo, would have made it stand out even more.
This is of course, me being super picky because if I'm gonna spend $200 on a ball, then why not be picky? I thought the ball motion looks fantastic, especially when revs applied!
@BowlersRant yeah for sure ball motion wise this thing looks like it will be usable for pretty much everyone especially the pros. If I get this I will re-color all the etching, probably either a yellow or a green.
Welcome back Chris. I have yet to get an Asymm Storm/SPI ball, but I am interested in this one since I am a fan of the Phaze 2. Dark colored balls are my preference. This one looks good with the asymmetry and AI Core technology.

Never really matched up with a phase 2, my best results have always come with Asyms like my Reality. Maybe the mild Asym in this ball will be just what I need....
I love my phaze ii which is a lefty redrill. But sometimes it’s not enough, so kinda with you on this one

I agree with you I do wish they would have thrown a bit more color into the thing, but at the end of the day it's all about what the ball does. I was REALLY looking forward to a newer generation IQ, I love my Tour solid and my Ruby, also my 78/U but having a next gen IQ in the bag is something that I had hoped they would have done.

Going to be a pearl envy tour... when they put a better tx20 solid on it.. the ball will be good
Its a hybrid, so possibly best of both worlds. time will tell

I like the specs for 13lbs. The secret to house shots is that you can strike with 13-16. Angle of entry is everything.

@@BowlersRant That's why at 14 lb I try to seek out the balls that usually just raise in rg marginally, but the diff stays the same... have to avoid balls like Eternity and Jackals

14 will be nice, 13 will be an absolute animal and is likely what I will drill for a nothumb ball. Yes, 13lbs can absolutely shred racks

Heard Storm balls don't last as long as Motiv
Tour dynamix wasent a flop everyone on tour uses those. And as far as shelf appeal the better bowlers will tell you they want a darker colored ball. Personally I’d love it if all the balls were jet black. Obviously that won’t ever happen but people don’t want balls that look like the evoke. Some do but for the most part better bowlers never do
Exactly. I also think the Evoke isn’t the greatest on shelf appeal, but that’s a subjective thing, like onebite pizza reviews
@@BowlersRant I don’t like it in general. Idk some people really love motiv and say they last absolutly forever but idk what it is for me. I bought my first two this year black venom and evoke and both for about the first 12 games rolled amazing I couldent miss with them. Then the evoke for what ever reason stopped hooking like it did and I couldent get any 10s out anymore and the black venom lost it to. Tried resurfacing them and it’s just weird it’s like they lost something. I’ve seen a few other people comment in motiv groups the same thing after about 9-12 games for them and other people say they last years. But after that I think I’m done with them and am sticking to storm because I’ve never really had any of their stuff die completely on me like the motiv stuff did.

It's so weird to just call something a benchmark ball. That's for consumers to decide. Lol wild approach
I think some people have the idea that benchmark means symmetrical.
How bout a long lasting cover? Storm is the worst as far as cover life on there equipment after about 100 games there equipment takes a dive ⤵️ and no amount of resurfacing evere brings it back to the way it was when brand new and sure you could say that happens to all equipment from any manufacturer but it's my opinion stom stuff is the worst as far as longevity.
This is also true for Brunswick brands. I have drilled 5x more Brunswick balls than Storm and they all wear out relatively fast. It's just bowling in general now with thicker oils.
This gonna be another flop, just like the tour dynam-x, also there’s no way this ball is anything above an F- for shelf appeal, tour Dynam-x looks better and I’d give that ball a C at best
So sad you didn't like the Tour Dynam X but it wasn't a flop, just because you couldn't match up or don't match up with equipment doesn't mean it's flop. Good luck!!
Speaking of the Tour Dynam-x, a Storm Staffer has confirmed it’s being discontinued, along with a bunch of other SPI balls

@@jerryalexander8803 I agree with you partially, not everyone will like the same balls, but the reason why it flopped is why it matters, the ball loses its reaction and needs a resurface after about 2 games, so why spend money on a ball that can’t even hold its reaction enough for league night
