Since it has the Phase 2 base material, I think it would be great to see how they compare. I have never really matched up with the P2, but I think the Ion Pro might be a ball that could fit in my game.
Your paying for the technology. All companies are charging for whatever newer tech they have. Storm just has a little more cache than other companies so they are flexing that muscle.
Have a suggestion. It would be good if u did like a 2 or 3 month update on how u feeling about the ball now. I remember attention and optimal idol where balls of the year for u.
I favor the strong cover, small core balls; sometimes I drill them pin down, for pocket control and good continuation through the rack. I one with the pin down yesterday, and was a 4-7 leave away from a no-tap 900, while having a 686 with 2 single-pin misses. BTW, the Ion Pro is a significantly better ball than the IQ Tour.
After 400 games or so with IQ tour and avging 190 in 3 leagues I got a ION pro. Had 540-545-549 and a 540 last 4 series with IQ Tour. First 3 games with Ion. 188-236-205 Missed 2 easy 10 pins last game !!!!!! I like it it moves a lot better than IQ, but. 400 plus games. Nice upgrade. I throw both at about 10 board, more movement with ION. May look into ion MAX.
Iq tour is my favorite ball and my go to ball of all time. Used it for a while and in a 3 game league shot 2 700 with it and some close to it. I think ion pro will help me in case the iq tour can't get to the pocket enough! But let's all remember, bowling balls are for what fits best for you, your style!

My favorite combo is Venom Shock with IQ Tour. Maybe Ion will pair up well with the Shock as well. And as always Napoles, you are a great -salesman- ball reviewer guy.
Looking at the ion pro shape vs iq tour shape is just so much different. Benchmark shape? I would prefer it to be refer as a different shape until ion pro proves itself to be in the line in the next 5-6 years.
I have an ion coming already to see if its truly a good ball. Iq is used for fresh conditions and play farther right the breakdown the pattern correctly. Really dislike it when people say it will be good here but that ball i wont touch. Overall wise ill take a iq or a p2 right now over any ball in the line. Absolute power and eternity are great asymmetrical pieces the rest are kinda just not good all the time.
I like your videos but 2 minutes of talking in the beginning kinda just makes me wanna watch less. I love the tech talk about the equipment but if we can get that during the review i think it would flow a lot easier. Just my thoughts as viewer

I like my star but idol just sucks completely

A ball that slots in between an IQ tour and a Phaze 2 strength wise definitely doesn't deserve to be anywhere near $200.
