And for Edwin stop eating caramels befote the game,i told you😂
The question should have been how sticky was his hand that he wasn’t even allowed to throw a pitch…my guess the stickiest hands ever recorded to not be allowed to throw a pitch.
Max Scherzer ASKED PERMISSION to wash his hands, Diaz didn't ask permission
It's doesn't matter!
You absolutely right, since the mets beat the Phillies 17 times out of 23 games,MLB turn agains the mets ,mixing National league and American league, traying to avoid Phillies and Mets to face each other, just because mlb all ways was traying to impulse Phillies/Yankees world series, all ways pushing back the mets when they getting hot!bad calls by umpires, makings real bads scheduled for mets, easy one for Phillies, Yankees and Dodgers, those three are the Papis lindos of MLB!We not idiots!🤨
Why aren't the umpires packed with hand wipes in case something like what happened to Diaz is avoided so they don't hold up the game or needlessly ejecting a pitcher over something like "sticky hands"? Just hand them the wipes so the pitchers do a quick little clean up and play ball.
Did you guys not see the close up of his hand? That was definitely not going to fly lol
Rob Manfreack has always been a jerk with these stupid rules yet his contract was extended.
I'm gonna preface this that I'm a Mets fan and don't think he should be suspended. But I don't like your speeding analogy, I think it's more like he showed up for an exam with the answers written in his arm. Yeah he hasn't started taking the test yet but he's already there and in the eyes of the proctor, he's there to cheat.
Now as far as the ejection goes, it's debatable. But there is a simple solution to determine whether a player deserves a suspension. Once he's kicked out, MLB should do a chemical analysis to determine what the substance is. If it's something legal like rosin, then no suspension. If it's not legal, suspension is justified. This arbitrary "trust me bro, it was too sticky" is BS and needs to be fixed
Problem with Diaz is there is no doubt he violated rules by coming into a game with rosin on his hand. We know he had rosin on,we know he had yet to step on the mound, we know that the only rosin allowed is the one on the mound.
Imagine if what happened to DIAZ had happened during a playoff game!!
He shouldn't have broken rules.
Mendoza didn’t fight back cuz he knows that our relief pitching going to hold it down for 10 games !
Only the Mets! Seems like Mlb officials and commissioner have a thing against the Mets look at the examples throughout the season up to date
Just like Knicks mentality , next man up🎉🎉💯💪🏽
😂only the Mets
Best Show in NYC you guys are the best!
you have got to be kidding dude
Personally i THINK MLB has a vendetta out for Cohen, jus seems convenient and a coincidence that they went after Diaz on a very arguable rule that they have no soild criteria for and it so happens to be a nationally broadcast game to just add salt to the wound.
Alternate video opinion: ua-cam.com/video/SvlHeOfNONw/v-deo.htmlsi=Dn4k-tBmEDM2xr-P ; Please note Diaz got ejected for entering game; there is no leeway for entering game. If you are on mound, you have access to the rosin that is on the mound and your hands may be sticky from legal substances. You are not suppose to enter game with anything on your hands. It has to be put on when you are on the mound.
How much do I care? Very little. Let them all use sticky shit. Idc. If it helps the pitcher not hit the batter and make them miss whole seasons or at a minimum 2-4 months. I’m FOR IT. the batters will catch up to the spin just like they did for juiced balls, the mound being closer etc. everything seems huge in the moment. Years later it didn’t matter one bit. Let them use it. Remember the bigger bases? Who’s thought of that? Nobody it’s never been a thought.
Less morash on your show please. He's not it
Evan you don’t think the refs would be weary of an Edwin Diaz who was sucking ass until he took his “”break”” and now is suddenly good again.
No because hands get checked every single time a player comes in and no one ever complained before
"Refs" ? wrong sport stick to synchronize swimming
Sticky substances SHOULD be ALLOWED for PITCHERS. Period. End of discussion. They need this for the grip. You can't possibly expect them to be able to spin these garbage quality baseballs whoever company MLB contracted to manufacture these garbage ass balls. Literally no consistency and no seams. It's not possible to have any consistent pitching performance without the ability to grip this garbage ball. Not without some stick.
Why wasn't EDWIN DIAZ given a chance to wash his hand like they did with SCHERZER.???
Not-so-fun fact: Scherzer was actually on a podcast complaining about the arbitrary application of the rules. His very next start they started checking him hard and eventually ejected him. The umpires said his hands were stickier. Could be a coincidence. Could be that he was trying to get an edge. Just always seem weird.
Because with scherzer, the check was done on his exit after an inning. It was therefore plausible that it was rosin (used legally ON THE MOUND) mixed with sweat.
Diaz was checked going into the inning out of the bullpen. Therefore, there was not a chance it was rosin, used legally, and sweat. You aren't allowed to have rosin on coming out of the pen or dugout, and may only use the rosin bag that is on the mound.
They knew beyond any doubt he was violating a rule.
Mendoza clearly thought Diaz knew he went too far.
Too far with what? Rosin that's not in any way illegal in baseball?
thanks to Manfred - the game is being ruined daily
what we needed yesterday was a Billy Martin reaction or Lou Pinella
imagine Terry Collins or Buck going out to argue the umps
wouldn't be kissing A to Manfred and the umps
stupid subjective biased call
have them wash their hands not be tossed
How bout the Mets should stop cheating. Lol Mets
@JHub75 unless unand I were up close and could touch we can't say. Just seems fishy, Mets are targeted often.
But I agree if he overwhelmingly cheated then yes. But still no pitcher should be toasednout before pitching, go wash your hands come back let's go just like when we were kids and mom would call us in
@@JHub75he never pitched
People don't seem to understand. Even if it WAS rosin, it was not legally used on the mound, which is the only place you can use it. Since Diaz hadn't even gone to the mound yet, there is no doubt that whatever he out on his hand, was done so in the bullpen, and therefore a violation of league rules.
@@snerdterguson that is a good point, and if the Mets coaches and bullpen allowed him to not know or do that, the rule is the rule, and no wonder Mendoza was ok in not defending Diaz which I took as weird. Makes sense. Good explanation
CARLOS MENDOZA ACTED LIKE A PUNK.
Delusional sports talk trash
I get that you are fanboying for Diaz. But you lose a lot of credibility when you bend over that far to give a benefit of the doubt to professional players who DO NOT deserve it.
So what's your evidence to suggest that mlb was correct in their assessment that Diaz was using a foreign substance? The answer, to this moment, is zero.
Always challenge power structures.
@@thomasscherrer8393 Whats the evidence? did you not watch? the video zooms in on the guys pitching hand and you can clearly see some "stuff" on his hand. The umpires looked at it, touched it, smelled it, then tossed him. Its not controversial at all to say he had a foreign substance on his throwing hand.
How about don't cheat!
Point still stands technically he never threw a pitch with too much rosin. And they didn't even take anything for evidence. Even if you get a speeding ticket the cop needs more than just his word on how fast you're going.
Do you think they pull out a cotton swab and ziploc like it’s a csi episode? 😂
Wow , Evan is so bad , i don’t listen to the fan anymore cause of him . And the rest of the dorks
he makes a lot of sense u clown
