I can speak for the BFG’s great tire, had them on my 2000 Silverado for about 2 1/2 years, haven’t rotated them yet, gone about 25,000 miles on them and honestly they don’t even look like they’ve started to wear yet, still look brand new. Best all terrain I’ve ever owned so far, looks great if your wanting that Offroad look but not loud at all on the road. Do great in sand, which is important since I live in Corpus Christi. They also do pretty good in mud. Great all around tire. Although I have to admit my dad has a set of these on his 84 Silverado...
I have the ko2 on my ram on some method nv wheels. You can check my videos. I only got 22k miles out of them before they are completely gone. I believe someone said they discontinued the ones i have because of the low rating. I think its a c rated vs most which are e rating.
@@Bananahammock88 Glad I read this. I currently have Wildpeaks and was about to pull the trigger on some lt285/70r17 in C for KO2s. Looks like I might just be sticking with Falken. No complaints just wantsd to try something different.
Whoops. We messed up. Atturo DOES have a 50K Warranty on the Trail Blade AT, and Falken offers a mileage warranty also! Thanks for pointing this out for us!
Rockin’ the Falken tires. Love them, very low road noise and smooth ride while keeping the semi aggressive look. They have not failed in easy off road terrain. No complaints. Mounted on a 2014 F-150 Platinum Ecoboost.
I have had a set of Toyo Open country ATII on my 2017 F150 XTR which has a 2” leveling kit installed. Up here in eastern Canada we go from 30 degrees Celsius to -30 degrees Celsius from summer to winter. I spend about 30% of the time off road in every season. Currently we have just over a foot of snow with ice underneath, on all the back roads. Air down to 12-15 psi and these tires are beautiful! Summer time we haul our 7000lb camper and they are wearing great! Can’t wait to try the ATIII and see how they compare!
I absolutely love my 33x12.50r15 Wildpeak At3w on my truck, its 2wd with a rear locker and I've yet to get stuck on them in soft sand and mud, they grip almost instantly in the rain unless I really try to spin them, they perform amazing in dirt/gravel as well, I've got about 10k miles on my fronts and only 5k on the rears but so far they're wearing awesome and the road noise is hardly noticeable with windows down doing 90mph on the freeway. I will say that when I measured them, they only come out about 11 3/4" wide mounted on my 8" wheel, but the offroad footprint especially aired down to 10psi is more than enough
@Rudy - I'm looking at the exact same tires for my truck! I really like the Cooper Discover XLT's. It has a 60,000 mile waranty and the price is good. I heard mixed reviews on them, but lets be honest. I've heard mixed reviews on every tire i've ever looked at... The Toyo AT3's are a close second. and i'm also thinking about the Falken's.
Have a 96 Ford Explorer v8 awd and came with new Goodyear wrangler sra’s when I got it, within a month one of the tires had a blowout so I decided to shop for other tires and ended up going for the BFG all terrain ta ko (the original) which has been the best tires I’ve ever had! Been to NC on the beaches and had zero issues (didn’t even have to air down) these tires just grip any surface. Speaking of the dad tire thing, I got these and my dad said it would be a mistake and shortly after I had them installed he went out and got the ko2 for his grand Cherokee and seems to like them. Live in south central pa and winters can be iffy but never had any problems even in deep snow of a foot or more. That’s my experience and for a truck or suv I wouldn’t buy any other tire.
@@mountainconstructions They have been decent for me. Only got stuck once. I went through a spot on the lake where it was still super muddy and she ate it up in 2wd. 2nd gear 3/4 throttle kept them spinning enough to keep pushing
Started off on the attaros, pretty good tire. Never had a problem with them. Then i got a set of the at3w and i love them. Look good, ride good, and sound good.
The falken wildpeaks I had in 295 75 16 on a half ton chevy. I put 25k miles on them and they still looked like new. Pulled trailer in the mud and never have a problem. Gettin ready to buy a set for my other two trucks. Couldn't ask for a better tire
I was going to give them a shot for my next set of tires, then my buddy got a set for his 4Runner. All in all they are fantastic in the dry, wet, snow, rocks, and sand, but he cant grab traction in mud... Like at all. not even aired down to 12psi with his locker engaged. It's MaxTrax to the rescue every time...I wonder what you're doing different? Maybe the weight of the trailer, or his 33s vs your 35s?
I have BFG 35X12.5 (315/70R17) T/A KO2 and love how they ride on my 2014 Fj Cruiser! Cant recommend them enough. Major metal trimming, minor plastic trimming and a 3” rough country lift. Thanks for the wheels and tires @customoffsets! Sending pics soon!
Hankook Dynapro AT-M rf10 FTW! 50k mile warranty and currently Amazon prices them for $1380 shipped for a set of 325/50r22. On a Ram 3500 w/ 6" lift and 22x12 wheels = No noise and ride is better than stock. One of the most under rated tires out there, I couldn't find much info/reviews on bigger trucks but have always ran Hankooks on multiple cars and the price and quality of ride and handling in nasty weather has always impressed me.
My Taco came with Falken Wildpeak AT3s, 10k miles in had one patched and another one with a hole in the sidewall... took them off put a new set of KO2s... 43k miles in, still a ton of tread life left, no patch jobs and no damage to sidewalls driving through the same brush
Were they LT's? My guess is not. There are two different compounds. Mine are on a diesel and run hard with a Toy Hauler in all conditions 106,000KM just thinking of changing them now. (66,000 Miles)
Have you ever noticed that the BFG’s have the lower and upper peninsula’s of Michigan for lugs? I pointed that out to an engineer one day at work. Blew his mind so on the following day there was 5 engineers on the line checking them out as the Raptors were being built. Work is sometimes boring lol
Great video for helping us make our AT tire decisions! I would like to add that it would be nice for tire guys to mention that more plies also means more puncture resistance as well, not just more load rating. An important consideration when traveling in remote places and off pavement. Also an inexperienced tire shopper may not understand that the KO2 is also available in the 10 ply LT version, albeit not in all sizes and may be the same situation with the Trailblade AT also. The BFG All-Terrain TA has had a long evolution, fitting as one of the world’s best AT tires for many decades. The KO2 as a result is a better tire than the original TA. Thanks for the video! 👍
Living in MI it was a no brainier for me...the falken. I've had nothing but good things to say about them. Hands down my favorite AT tires on the market and I've had quite a few
Used BFG KO2’s, Nitto and now Toyo AT2 Extremes on my F150 FX4 and am convinced that Toyo’s are every penny worth it; especially here in Florida. Thanks for vid.
The falken definitely compares to the duratracks. Had them both on my 08 Silverado and they have good similarities and some similar performance. however, I will continue to buy the falkens due to price, road noise, tread life/ warranties, along with better snow and wet performance
Good Detailed Review. For WINTER use, the new BFG KO2s perform with high confidence on ice, deep snow and many high mountain winter conditions. I have Nittos also, not great in snow or ice
I got my 305/55/20's from Custom Offsets. Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ. Best tire I've ever owned. They have an extremely aggressive appearance. A bit noisy but I've got around 40k on them so far and they still look new. I won't be switching anytime soon.
@@DefMusic79 You obviously never had a tire only last about 30k. Looking like I should get well over 60k out of'em, which will be 20k more that the stock street tires.
305/55/20 Toyo AT2 Extremes on my F150. Amazing Tire....For the first 2 years (14,00 miles). Then things started to go downhill, started to lose grip / traction to the point of spinning when leaving a stop light in light rain. Suffered through another 2 years of questionable tire quality before I got rid of them. 2 bad, they rode great, looked great and had great traction in the wet and snow.
Have had several AT tires over the years. Currently running the wildpeaks ATW3. This tire imo is the best AT. Something will have to blow me away to get me to switch. I spend a lot of time in the UP of Michigan snow and they have done excellent. In rain they perform excellent. They don’t make much road noise at all. I haven’t done any true mud running so I can’t attest to its performance there but regular mud and fields excellent as well. 40000 on mine and the wear is great
The Falken Wildpeak has a slightly milder sister tire, the Sumitomo Encounter AT. Sumitomo actually manufactures most of the Falken tires I've come across (I know if some manufactured by Ohtsu). The Falken Wildpeak HT, for example, is a straight re-brand of the Sumitomo Encounter HT. While I can't speak to the origins of the rest of the Atturo lineup, the Atturo Trail Blade AT seen here is a re-brand of the TBC Brands Wild Trail AT, sold under the brand names Multi-Mile, Delta, and Eldorado, and possibly a few others as well (possibly Vanderbilt, Cordovan, and Americus).
Toyo at2 Extreme on my 2015 f350 6.7 GREAT TIRE .my truck weights 9300 lbs no issues at all. 35x12.5x20 had 295x65x20 before the 35s Both sizes great . The 295 I got 65000 out of them
From what I read and gathered. Toyo are great. But, many people that had toyo and now have cooper at3 xlt, prefer cooper. Bet you can guess what I purchased and initial impressions seem very positive. 285/65r18 minimal rubbing at stock height on 2018 Silverado 1500. Some people even reported getting 100k out of their coopers.
You guys have an awesome website. Makes it so easy to click through different set ups to see what looks good on my trucks and your prices are much more affordable than any other places ive found
The most under rated but best performing tire is the Hancook dyna pro. I'm on my second set of and love them. Got 60k out of first set and still had tread
I have the dynapro on my 2015 Toyota Tacoma. They have 38000 miles on them. Terrible on wet roads. Were good in the snow first 2 yrs. Not that great now. Had one blowout on the highway.
I've driven on the BF's,the Nito Grapplers and the Wild Peaks and just my opinion I have to say the wild Peaks win,on my 2nd set on my wj, and just had them put on my z71 suburban love them never worried about being stuck anywhere....great video for those just getting into all terrain tires
Love my BFG's, I have 10 ply and pull a heavy loaded horses trailer, they have 70 kmiles on them at this time with about 33% left. Excellent tire for the 1200we paid
I have purchased BFGOODRICH tires for 20 years and I love them. However they lack grip on wet roads. So I recently purchased a set of Falken AT3Ws. Grip is amazing on road and off-road. However! I have a lead foot and at high speeds Falken tires move around more than BFGs. I have also noticed at pressures more than 37 psi the tire has a lot of rebound.
troy sims I do most of my driving on road, however I also do a lot of off-road and occasionally desert runs. I don’t have the luxury of having a purpose built rig so my comment is based on having a tire that can bridge the road gap of high speed on road grip. Since you are so smart! What would be the better tire in 35/12.50/17?
@@davidmayfield2313 Not being a smart ass at all just observations based on working many years leasing trucks to commercial customers over the years! Now that you mentioned the type of driving you do and needing a tire that fits your needs I would highly suggest the Cooper Discoverer AT3 or Kumho Road Venture AT51! Both handle like highway tires but offer great grip on wet roads and have great off road manners as well!
I have the toyo at2 in a 35x12.50 on my 04 lifted sierra 1500 and I'm sitting right around the 50,000 mile mark on them and they look and still perform great. I have a set of toyo m/t if I need them for those long long deer camp stays. I drive over 100 miles daily work work mostly all wide open highway and the at2 are just simply amazing on the roads and handle just fine when I slip off the highway to a fishing hole or camping spot. They clean out decent enough. I'm excited about the at3 guys I cannot wait. Toyo and nitto are the only 2 brands I'll ever even think about slapping on my old daily driver! Great video even though the music was a little unpleasant
My company runs Toyo mt...(I'm not happy with them but we r hard on work trucks). On my 09 2500 Cummins I had the bottom Terra grapplers...I loved them on and off road but unfortunately I live in Arizona so not much snow Now I bought a 2019 3500 Cummins and put nitro ridge grapplers...so far pavement and off road is great and hope to test them out in Wisconsin (if finances go great) 1 thing I should add is that my terra grapplers were 35x12.5 whereas my ridge grapplers r 35x13.5 and Toyo on work truck r between 10 and 11 wide stock
Agreed toyo MT tires suck at just about everything. Impossible to balance in anything larger than a 31, never wear properly, 0 grip on road dry or wet, they work well in deep mud but that's quite literally all they are good for...
Kumho road venture at51’s aren’t too bad. Not a common tire and not really a “show” tire, but 55k mike warrantee and has some decent grip in dirt and over logs.
Melvin V. I’ve been running them about 12000 or 13000 miles and they work great. I mainly do street driving, but have gone off road a bit and haven’t really had them spin too much in dirt, on rocks or on logs.
Ive had a set of them on my toyota pickup for about 10,000 km in 31 10.5 15. They are amazing on wet roads and half decent in wet mud. They grab gravel roads like magnets. About as good as you can get for a all-terrain. I hunt and fish alot here in BC and they have taken me everywhere ive needed to go so far without getting stuck. My size has a snowflake as-well to they are legal to run in the winter but I bought winter tires as-well because I just like the added safety of a dedicated-winter tire. Id definitely recommend them to anyone looking for new A/T tires
I drive on the atturo trail blades and they are great on the road. Does good in sand but in thick soft sand going up not too good. But great solid tire.
I have a 1986 Toyota standard cab 4x4 with stock 22R motor that's been in the family for 34 years (I bought it new and have it back again now). I've had "N" Series Buckshots on it which were good in the mud but VERY loud. Moved to BFG ATs from there. I seem to recall they were supposed to be 32" tall (these are on 15" rims). To date, the best set of tires I've ever owned as far as usefullness and longevity. I wore them out and moved to a 33" Mud King. So here is where I had a problem. The truck has a 3" lift on it which I did with the intention of installing 33" tires. However, when I went from the BFGs to the Mud Kings, I was no longer able to really use my 5th gear (it's a standard transmission). For that reason, I'm trying to stay with about the same size I had with the BFGs. Any recommendations/comments??? Will be much appreciated.
I just got a set of Yokohama Geolander G015 in 35x12.50r20 and I love them. Got them on my stock 2019 Ram 1500 Warlock, fits with no rubbing and no mods on the stock rims. Sad my tire didn't make it to the list.
Love my KO2s but the soft compound I go off roading about 3-4 time a month spend usually 1-4 hours of Baja style driving and sending it up hills in a 2wd drive about 200-400 miles a week for the way I drive off and on road the tires lasted me about a year and a half
Oh yeah didn’t rotate them often my alignment was never the best due to hard off roading knocking it out and got tired of aligning it at work would just set the steering wheel to drive straight
I had the wildpeaks atw3 on my 2000 Silverado for about a year till my truck was stolen in July and I had probably 10k miles of pretty much all towing, and they were still like brand new
Austin Hartson just curious. I have a 2000 Silverado that I’ve had for several years now and I haven’t been able to figure out why it’s getting a death wobble. Im considering trading it for a Tacoma or older Tundra because of it.
I have the BF Goodrich KO2s on my 2005 suburban z71. They have been great, wear is minimal on these imo, they seem to last forever (I've owned multiple sets of BFG's over the years on my trucks). I am more of a fishing/camping/maybe some playing in the mud with the suburban, and they have never let me down. I would recommend them, only because they are the only ones of the five I have experience with!
Toyo ATII’s for me. 3 sets deep with the first two both lasting ~65,000 miles on my 2500hd. only with they made them for a 24” wheel because now i’m having to go fury.
Great video, TY! A couple more things to note: *Some of the big tire manufacturers make 2-3 different A/T models to vary in application/use and aggressiveness. The A/T spectrum from almost H/T to almost M/T is more crowded than ever, which is good for you, the buyer [more choice! :) ] *Many A/T tires are made in both passenger "car" ('P' or no letter displayed before tire sizes) specs and light truck (LT) specs. This introduce some confusion and segmentation but allows for more variety. For example, most of the Falcon Wilkpeak AT3/W sizes are LT tires, but some are P tires such as 265/60R20 and 275/55R20 (the latter is available from the factory on some 2019 or later Ram 1500 trucks). As to be expected, the 'P'-rated (not speed but passenger, not LT) tires are MUCH cheaper than LT tires and offer a more comfortable ride being that sidewalls are less rigid. So, if you're strapped for cash and don't haul heavy or do somewhat more hardcore off-roading and crawling, the P tires will probably be fine for you. *The passenger spec tires also tend to have a bit shallower tread depth. For example, on the Falken Wildpeaks, tread depth is 19/32 or 20/32 on LT's and 13/32 for P's. So, P's are cheaper but probably shorter life.
Same here been with ko2 for a long time now on my 4runner. I’m gonna branch out and try the general atx. I’ve heard great things about them and supposedly kinda similar to ko2 and also cheaper.
Personally, I’ve ran the TOYO A/T and A/T ll for years now, not only because they do great in the snow, get good mileage, and low road noise; but also because they don’t have that aggressive of a sidewall. If I wanted a gnarly side wall, I’d go the the OC M/T
Bought a set of at3w for 647 bucks mounted and balanced for me on my 07 sierra old body. Best tires ever. Rarely slid even on slick snow and ice. Non-issue with mud. That was a few years ago or so and ended up getting mickey thompson deegan 38s right after on and wish I still had the falkens though. They were a heavy 47 lb tire and had no issues. But it also translated into not being able to have fun doing doughnuts and stuff. But I live in iowa and traction is key especially in winter. My next set of tires I'm going back to the falken wildpeak at3w and getting the 10 ply one if they have it as I tow a camper now in my truck. I will miss the white lettering on the mickeys though haha. Even though it wears out in a couple months here. But my deegans have started to white wall around the rim. It's weird. I'm wondering if I'm hitting my load limit with a 4k lb camper hahaa. I don't pull it often though. So it might just be salt and stuff.
I have bfg atko2 on my tundra with 35k miles on them and they still have the stubs on the ends of the treads! And they work great in anything except wet sand they could he better I'll be honest but worh mainly highway driving I'd say its a great tire
What a lot of people on the forums have been looking at is weight. I was looking at the Toyos over Nittos until I saw how heavy they are in a 305/55/20.
@@duckwacker8720 Record rain here in southern california last year and floods. The Wildpeaks ALWAYS felt stuck to the ground. Never felt like I was gonna hydroplane
@@chrisginoc My Falkens have saved me in the rain! I went over a bridge that had like a 1-2 inch deep puddle going 50 and sprayed water over my windshield but never broke loose. Kept driving straight
Mounted a set of KO2s on my Range Rover Classic about a month ago. Really liking them so far, both on, and off, road. Took them up a gnarly snow and ice covered trail a couple days ago, and they did great.
I got some Hankook AT2 Rf11 at the recommendation of my mechanic, they are still new but great so far and was under $800 for the set mounted and balanced.
I wanted to go with the wildpeak but were significantly more expensive than the Ko2s in my area. Went with the Ko2s instead and I’ve been really happy with them, they r great in snow.
ScReAmEr782 when I had ko2’s I couldn’t get traction in the rain and they started to cup 10k miles of driving (and yes I did have perfect alignment and good front end)
Joel Betancourt currently climbing close to 100,000 miles on my KO1’s... I’ve got about ~30% tread left still. Good alignment and rotation plus no burnouts they will last forever.
Daniel Walker Any tire can last almost forever if you take care of it, just a lot of people don’t wanna spend time to rotate, in my opinion ko2’s aren’t the best, don’t get me wrong their amazing in the snow but not so much in the sand, mud, or rock
I agree, I have been running BFGoodrich kos and ko 2s since 2007 , since then I only had two small air leaks , no blow outs , flats or nothing. Cons, they are expensive but u get what u pay for.
Had a set of K02, totally the dad tire, been around forever, great tire, only thing I didn’t like about it is you need a little more power to be able to clean the tread out in the mud, 4cyl 5speed Jeep just didn’t have the power. The open country, ran really good on the highway, the Trail blade run on a 2500HD, they did ok but wear out quick, and the Wild peak AT3W I have had 3 sets of them on my Tacoma now and love them, I don’t run 10ply but I do a lot of road travel, interstate and a bunch of mud bogging and trail running, and they do it all for me!!!!
I bought a set of Atturo tires in the spring of this year and I was able to get 285/75r16 in a 10 ply tire for about $660.00. I have a heavy duty truck and I tow a 31ft camper with it and these tires do great.
Just got some Wild Peak AT3 WA in load range C and they are awesome so far. Cheaper too. The load E are more expensive. 275 65 18, under 1k OTD. Looking forward to some winter weather now...
The toyos aT2s perform very well in the snow. They definitely out perform the toyo RTs in the snow. I have them on my expedition. Great tire, low road noise and good mileage. I am at almost 40k miles and they still have good tread life left. 90% highway use and rotated every 3k miles.
I have bf Goodrich all terrain ko2 on my 2015 serria. About 25k on them and they still have great tread! I have never had a problem with grip in snow, mud, anything I throw at it. I took my truck through a clay pit with water up to my grill and even in there I had a hard time making them break loose
I have BFG All Terrain TA Three Fifteen/ Seventy/ Seventeens on my Ninety Five Z-Seventy One. Never had an issue and they do everything I want them to. Woods, Mud, Beach Sand, you name it, they come through.
I have had both the BFG and the NITTO and the nitto was terrible compared to the BFG. It didn’t last as long and it was terrible in the snow where the BFG was one of the greatest tires I have ever had in the snow
I've got a set of the atturro ats On my 2wd 11 ram. Love them so far. They do kinda follow the grooves in the road easy though. Haven't had a issue of the gravel in my yard when wet or slightly muddy and first time in the snow I am impressed and ice impressed also. Sand does pretty well also as long as you drive with common sense. I live south of stl and have had them to California wv and gulf shores Alabama Pensacola Florida. 8000 miles on them and happy so far for the price I paid from online Walmart
I had the Atturos......they lasted pretty good.....but when they started getting slick, they went bad fast....I rotated them regularly and put almost 60k miles on them...not bad for $700 tires
I bought the Faulken atw3’s a while back for my 03 4dr 4x4 trd off road .dont have a lot of miles on them but have really liked then so far I compared these with the nitro tires mentioned in this video and went with these because of the side by side Comparison the NItto Terra grappler’s look like they had been in the dryer on the highest setting and was a lot smaller over all than thefallen wildpeak atw3.it looks great on my OEM wheels, the tires bulge around the rim giving me the look I didn’t know I could achieve for this setup.Im not a full time off roader but want the best tire for the job when I do and I have found them!oh and the price were good to.on every terrain they have provided the traction.rain snow on and off road.i don’t go mud bogging but my truck goes where I go.I don’t recommend lots of products to folks but I will buy these again .
You have to be upcharging these tires. Just picked up a set of four Ko2s with an E load rating for $878. I would never pay $1,300 for a set of four. That's insane.
@@chickensfloat7427 it’s the same tire, there isn’t a China tire vs American tire on them, I’ve priced them from multiple sights and the ko2 tires are around $900 depending on size, I could order a wheel tire combo for 1500-1800
@@raddad0 Tire Agent. Even with tire prices increasing, the stock size price for four tires has gone up to $900. Even if I bump the size up to 285/70/17 the price only goes up to $1,032. Still far from the $1,300 in this video.
@@IAMTRASHMAN267 thanks never heard of that site before. My stock size still comes out to 1400 for the ko2. Definitely cheaper for other smaller sizes though
In my family we have been running the Toyo AT II for years now. In the smaller tires sizes the AT II is a nice All Terrain tire Great on the highway and works when on loose surfaces.. However I have noticed with my 35x12.5 tires are more like a Nitto Ridge Gappler due to the larger lugs with more spacing.
Michael Neuhaus yeah i have them on my jku I really like them. They are wearing quicker than I would like, but they are wearing fairly even with my 5 tire rotation.
The Nittos have served me well with good on and off-road traction. Great at a slippery boat ramp at low tide, and a great ride even going 400 miles down to the keys loaded with boat, trailer, and dive equipment. Running in a heavy Harley F150 with the 6.2L. Getting good wear out of them. Never had an issue in Florida sand or light mud either. Good all around tire.
Great video fuller. Just reading some of the comments, looks like the bfg is the best out of the bunch. I live in northern new England dirt roads to the house, Paved main roads, And when it snows, look out. Only 3 types of vehicles get through. Jeeps Any 4x4 pickup truck And Subaru
@@thomascarpenter5536 thanks for the answer, not tooo worried about rain. Northern new Hampshire roads where I live are mostly dirt.im more concerned about light mud and snow than rain
I just bought a set of 245/75/16 for my jeep grand Cherokee, Terreno all terrain, 372 dollars shipped to my house, I can't believe how cheap they were, they look pretty good, I'll be getting them in a week
Thanks for the nice presentatipn. Try to incorporate the WEIGHT of the tires, e.g those K/O 2s are lead on your unsprung weight, every suspension component is overworked.
What is the best tire for lots of highway towing applications and what is the best all terrain towing tire? We pull a camper which is where the highway towing comes in but we are going to make the trip pulling the camper to Alaska so that’s why I’m wondering about the all terrain towing capabilities.
jr w; We switched from KO,s to AT3 W for pricepoint warranty, and if it is good enough for OEM on Gladiators it is good enough for me. We have a 2dr JL and a JT both now with Falkens. I did like the KO2s, just like these better. Be well.
If it works for you and you are happy, stick with what has worked for you. I am the same too. Even if I spend more money, I rather save at the long run with quality than save at cashier
My uncle did have the K02 on his 1996 Ford bronco and yes he had a boat.
Abe Ballard I knew it! -Fuller
Haha my dad also had a set of the old KO2s on hes 2002 Chevy 1500 in 16inch. I got the new KO2s in 305/55/20
KO's are what you are thinking of, very old design. KO2's were released in 2014 and Haven been selling like crazy ever since.
#GoYourOwnWay
Thanks for the feedback bro!
Pulled the trigger on the Wildpeak AT3W 265/75/16 E. Other tires i was considering were the Toyo AT3 and the Cooper Discover AT3 LT.
Nice !
I have the falkens on my truck they are wonderful. Ran hard on the farm. Lots of gravel and mud
Highly recommend the falkins. Great on the highway, city, off-road, etc. They’re amazing in mud. 10/10 recommend
Yep got a set in 275/65 x 18, amazing.
Amen
@@supatipanno, same on my F-150. Love. Them.
Amazing in Mud?? How?
@@mountainconstructions They have been decent for me. Only got stuck once. I went through a spot on the lake where it was still super muddy and she ate it up in 2wd. 2nd gear 3/4 throttle kept them spinning enough to keep pushing
Started off on the attaros, pretty good tire. Never had a problem with them. Then i got a set of the at3w and i love them. Look good, ride good, and sound good.
Got a set of 315/75-16 Falken AT3s to replace my duratrack tires on my JK and I love them on and Offroad. They have about 20k miles and still look new
The falken wildpeaks I had in 295 75 16 on a half ton chevy.

Wildpeak at/3 44k on a 14 F150. I’m from NEPA so snow is abundant. These were very impressive in the snow.
Could y’all make a video like this for hybrid tires?
Running the Toyo here in Australia and they are a very good tyre and have a huge following.
I have had great luck with the wildpeaks on a cummins ram. Fantastic snow Performace
Agreed! 👍
Ko2's are also made in the U.S.A. Woodburn Indiana and Tuscaloosa Alabama 👍
Roll Tide! 😎
I got my 305/55/20's from Custom Offsets. Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ. Best tire I've ever owned. They have an extremely aggressive appearance. A bit noisy but I've got around 40k on them so far and they still look new. I won't be switching anytime soon.

Currently running falken at3 285/65r18 e range in my f150 Platinum. Tires are amazing. Have over 50k on them. Tread depth at 14/32nd.
Why I purchased cuz of price. Paid 500 for all 4.
Been really impressed with the Wildpeak AT3W's. 20k miles in and they still look new.
Only 20, shouldn't they? Its an AT!
@@DefMusic79 You obviously never had a tire only last about 30k. Looking like I should get well over 60k out of'em, which will be 20k more that the stock street tires.

@@DefMusic79 Cool story bro.
Thanks for the feedback!
I have the Toyo AT on my Rebel. Love the tire( 40,000 miles) but Wardoflord is right. Poor traction, spin at every stoplight in rain.
40000 on mine and the wear is great
Love my KO2's. Expensive but im happy i did it. They feel and perform great
The Falken Wildpeak has a slightly milder sister tire, the Sumitomo Encounter AT.
The 295 I got 65000 out of them
I got BFG TA KO2’s. I have over 60,000 miles. Great Tire!
Until it gets cold, then they are butt puckering worthless.
I got the same 10 ply and 50 k miles
I got ko 1s and have 99,400 miles on em lol, they just now starting to go bald on rear
Mine are load D 265/70/16s
Are they good in rain or wet road conditions?
How is the road noise?

I have purchased BFGOODRICH tires for 20 years and I love them. However they lack grip on wet roads. So I recently purchased a set of Falken AT3Ws. Grip is amazing on road and off-road. However! I have a lead foot and at high speeds Falken tires move around more than BFGs. I have also noticed at pressures more than 37 psi the tire has a lot of rebound.
These are not high performance street tires! If you want to go fast buy a highway tire!
troy sims I do most of my driving on road, however I also do a lot of off-road and occasionally desert runs.
Both handle like highway tires but offer great grip on wet roads and have great off road manners as well!
the design on the Toyo Open Country AT II is the EXTREME version. If you don't get the Extreme version the separation between tread will be thinner.
On my 09 2500 Cummins I had the bottom Terra grapplers...I loved them on and off road but unfortunately I live in Arizona so not much snow
Now I bought a 2019 3500 Cummins and put nitro ridge grapplers...so far pavement and off road is great and hope to test them out in Wisconsin (if finances go great)
1 thing I should add is that my terra grapplers were 35x12.5 whereas my ridge grapplers r 35x13.5 and Toyo on work truck r between 10 and 11 wide stock
Thanks for the input 🤙
Agreed toyo MT tires suck at just about everything. Impossible to balance in anything larger than a 31, never wear properly, 0 grip on road dry or wet, they work well in deep mud but that's quite literally all they are good for...
Kumho road venture at51’s aren’t too bad. Not a common tire and not really a “show” tire, but 55k mike warrantee and has some decent grip in dirt and over logs.
Yea, been considering them for my truck and also have been wondering when they’re gonna get any recognition lol
Decent tire but I had a lot of flats with this tire! But decent all around under rated tire! I will stick with My Falken Wildpeak AT3W though
I drive on the atturo trail blades and they are great on the road. Does good in sand but in thick soft sand going up not too good. But great solid tire.

AT3’s are nice.
Running the falken wildpeak at3w on my 2010 Jeep commander. Love this tire.
I have them on my 4 door wrangler and they're great.

I have them I like them a lot. Great grip on sand.

I had the wildpeaks atw3 on my 2000 Silverado for about a year till my truck was stolen in July and I had probably 10k miles of pretty much all towing, and they were still like brand new
Austin Hartson by a chance did your truck ever get a death wobble while driving before it was stolen?
@@thekentuckian0054 no it drove nice at any speed
A couple more things to note:
*Some of the big tire manufacturers make 2-3 different A/T models to vary in application/use and aggressiveness. The A/T spectrum from almost H/T to almost M/T is more crowded than ever, which is good for you, the buyer [more choice! :) ]
*Many A/T tires are made in both passenger "car" ('P' or no letter displayed before tire sizes) specs and light truck (LT) specs.
BFG KO2 on all my vehicles!

@Steven Greeson The AT2 was released last year?
I guess I must have been under a rock lately. Didn't know Hankook replaced the Dynapro ATM RF10's.
I wanted to go with the wildpeak but were significantly more expensive than the Ko2s in my area. Went with the Ko2s instead and I’ve been really happy with them, they r great in snow.
Love my ko2's never has it let me down.
Daniel Walker Any tire can last almost forever if you take care of it, just a lot of people don’t wanna spend time to rotate, in my opinion ko2’s aren’t the best, don’t get me wrong their amazing in the snow but not so much in the sand, mud, or rock
ko2's are horrible in wet conditions.
I agree, I have been running BFGoodrich kos and ko 2s since 2007 , since then I only had two small air leaks , no blow outs , flats or nothing.
Cons, they are expensive but u get what u pay for.
Cooper at3. Best tire I've ever had
Thanks for the feedback man!

I do too, works well in the Louisiana gumbo to red Georgia clay.
I have had both the BFG and the NITTO and the nitto was terrible compared to the BFG. It didn’t last as long and it was terrible in the snow where the BFG was one of the greatest tires I have ever had in the snow
I've got a set of the atturro ats
On my 2wd 11 ram.
Thanks for the feedback!!!
I had the Atturos......they lasted pretty good.....but when they started getting slick, they went bad fast....I rotated them regularly and put almost 60k miles on them...not bad for $700 tires
How are the Atturros AT holding up? Right now I have the XTs and the road noise is killing me. How is it with the ATs?
They held up good. My wife got t boned and totaled the truck but the tires where fantastic for what they where
had the toyos and they didn't last 30k miles, went to the nittos and they have 13k miles and still look brand new. love the nittos
Ditto mine have about 20,000 miles on them and have about 60 to 70 percent treadlife left
Someone else may have posted this in the other 679 comments. Falken has a 55 K warranty as long as you rotate them per there recommendation.
Just bought BFG KO2’s for my Jeep getting ready for a another Canadian weather. Be on next week. Can’t wait!
I just had KO2s installed. Load range E. 2014 SVT Raptor
My uncle had the KO’s on his Durango. I’m a dad and have them on my F-150. Nailed that one. Lol
Realistically they are the benchmark and are better off road than most "aggressive" tires
Might be worth it if you have pricy wheels. I feel like truck guys would be easyer on wheels than joe shmo at costco
@@chickensfloat7427 it’s the same tire, there isn’t a China tire vs American tire on them, I’ve priced them from multiple sights and the ko2 tires are around $900 depending on size, I could order a wheel tire combo for 1500-1800
Where did you get yours
Wait all falken wildpeaks at3w come 55000 miles warranty p or lt. I have them on my 2016 ram and all around awesome tire snow rain dry great traction
Michael Neuhaus yeah i have them on my jku I really like them. They are wearing quicker than I would like, but they are wearing fairly even with my 5 tire rotation.
C load doesnt have warranty
@@aaliyah_theprincess3866 on there site p and lt atw3 all come with 55000 mile warranty
Thanks for the feedback!
I've been running BFG thirty years they will never be beat
You won't have an issue when you need new ones every year.
I run the Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT E load and they have a 60k warranty on my '15 ram 1500 and they're barely louder than a highway tire.
Whachis I’ve had a different experience I won’t purchase these due to roar for a non aggressive tread
Great video fuller.
Just reading some of the comments, looks like the bfg is the best out of the bunch. I live in northern new England dirt roads to the house,
Paved main roads,
And when it snows, look out. Only 3 types of vehicles get through.
Jeeps
Any 4x4 pickup truck
And Subaru
The ko2 are not good on wet roads. They run small and are very heavy.
The K02 runs small for its advertised size. A 35" is closer to 33.75 maybe 34.25 when mounted and aired up.
Thanks for the nice presentatipn. Try to incorporate the WEIGHT of the tires, e.g those K/O 2s are lead on your unsprung weight, every suspension component is overworked.
Can you make a updated 2020 version
What is the best tire for lots of highway towing applications and what is the best all terrain towing tire? We pull a camper which is where the highway towing comes in but we are going to make the trip pulling the camper to Alaska so that’s why I’m wondering about the all terrain towing capabilities.
I like the Nitto and the Falkens that my dad has in his 4 runner
I love my ko2.. I'm just scared to run different tire.. my stomach feeling just goes back to ko2... But other tires look great... 👍
jr w; We switched from KO,s to AT3 W for pricepoint warranty, and if it is good enough for OEM on Gladiators it is good enough for me. We have a 2dr JL and a JT both now with Falkens. I did like the KO2s, just like these better. Be well.
If it works for you and you are happy, stick with what has worked for you. I am the same too. Even if I spend more money, I rather save at the long run with quality than save at cashier
Toyo A/T 2🤘🏼. Can’t wait for the Toyo A/T 3 please offer 37’s🤞🏼
